إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَكَانُوا كَهَشِيمِ الْمُحْتَظِرِ
Inna arsalna AAalayhim sayhatan wahidatan fakanoo kahasheemi almuhtathiri
YUSUFALI: For We sent against them a single Mighty Blast, and they became like the dry stubble used by one who pens cattle.
PICKTHAL: Lo! We sent upon them one Shout, and they became as the dry twigs (rejected by) the builder of a cattle-fold.
SHAKIR: Surely We sent upon them a single cry, so they were like the dry fragments of trees which the maker of an enclosure collects.
KHALIFA: We sent upon them one blow, whereupon they became like harvested hay.
২৯। কিন্তু তারা তাদের এক সঙ্গীকে আহ্বান করলো,এবং সে তার হাতে এক তরবারী গ্রহণ করে [ উষ্ট্রীকে] হত্যা করেছিলো।
৩০। হায় ! কি [ ভীষণ ] ছিলো আমার শাস্তি ও সর্তকবাণী।
৩১। আমি তাদের বিরুদ্ধে একটি মাত্র প্রচন্ড বিস্ফোরণ পাঠিয়েছিলাম ৫১৫১ ফলে তারা খোয়াড় প্রস্তুতকারীর দ্বিখন্ডিত শুষ্ক শাখা প্রশাখার ন্যায় পরিণত হলো ৫১৫২।
৫১৫১। সামুদ জাতির শাস্তির বর্ণনাতে বলা হয়েছে তাদের ধ্বংস করা হয়েছিলো ‘মহানাদ’ দ্বারা – সম্ভবতঃ তা ছিলো প্রচন্ড শব্দসহ ভূমিকম্প।
৫১৫২। “খোয়াড় প্রস্তুতকারী ” অর্থ গৃহপালিত পশুর খোয়াড় নির্মাণকারী। আরববাসীরা সে যুগে শাখা -পল্লব দ্বারা ছাগল, ভেড়ার খোয়াড় ও বেড়া নির্মাণ করিত।

আমি কোরআনকে বোঝার জন্যে সহজ করে দিয়েছি। অতএব, কোন চিন্তাশীল আছে কি?
And indeed, We have made the Qur’ân easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ
Walaqad yassarna alqur-ana lilththikri fahal min muddakirin
YUSUFALI: And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition?
PICKTHAL: And in truth We have made the Qur’an easy to remember; but is there any that remembereth?
SHAKIR: And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance, but is there anyone who will mind?
KHALIFA: We made the Quran easy to learn. Does any of you wish to learn?
৩২। বুঝার ও মনে রাখার জন্য, এই কুর-আনকে আমি অবশ্যই সহজ করে দিয়েছি। এরপরে এমন কেউ আছ কি যে উপদেশ গ্রহণ করবে?
৩৩। লূতের সম্প্রদায় [ লূতের ] উপদেশকে মিথ্যা জেনেছিলো ৫১৫৩।
৫১৫৩। সমতল ভূমির শহরে বাসকারী লূত সম্প্রদায় সম্বন্ধে কোরাণশরীফে বহুবার উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে। দেখুন সূরা [ ১১ : ৭৪ – ৮৩ ]।

লূত-সম্প্রদায় সতর্ককারীদের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল।
The people of Lout (Lot) belied the warnings.
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ بِالنُّذُرِ
Kaththabat qawmu lootin bialnnuthuri
YUSUFALI: The people of Lut rejected (his) warning.
PICKTHAL: The folk of Lot rejected warnings.
SHAKIR: The people of Lut treated the warning. as a lie.
KHALIFA: The people of Lot rejected the warnings.
৩২। বুঝার ও মনে রাখার জন্য, এই কুর-আনকে আমি অবশ্যই সহজ করে দিয়েছি। এরপরে এমন কেউ আছ কি যে উপদেশ গ্রহণ করবে?
৩৩। লূতের সম্প্রদায় [ লূতের ] উপদেশকে মিথ্যা জেনেছিলো ৫১৫৩।
৫১৫৩। সমতল ভূমির শহরে বাসকারী লূত সম্প্রদায় সম্বন্ধে কোরাণশরীফে বহুবার উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে। দেখুন সূরা [ ১১ : ৭৪ – ৮৩ ]।

আমি তাদের প্রতি প্রেরণ করেছিলাম প্রস্তর বর্ষণকারী প্রচন্ড ঘূর্ণিবায়ু; কিন্তু লূত পরিবারের উপর নয়। আমি তাদেরকে রাতের শেষপ্রহরে উদ্ধার করেছিলাম।
Verily, We sent against them a violent storm of stones (which destroyed them all), except the family of Lout (Lot), whom We saved in last hour of the night,
إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا إِلَّا آلَ لُوطٍ نَّجَّيْنَاهُم بِسَحَرٍ
Inna arsalna AAalayhim hasiban illa ala lootin najjaynahum bisaharin
YUSUFALI: We sent against them a violent Tornado with showers of stones, (which destroyed them), except Lut’s household: them We delivered by early Dawn,-
PICKTHAL: Lo! We sent a storm of stones upon them (all) save the family of Lot, whom We rescued in the last watch of the night,
SHAKIR: Surely We sent upon them a stonestorm, except Lut’s followers; We saved them a little before daybreak,
KHALIFA: We showered them with rocks. Only Lot’s family was saved at dawn.
৩৪। আমি তাদের বিরুদ্ধে প্রস্তুর বর্ষণকারী প্রচন্ড টর্ণেডো প্রেরণ করেছিলাম ৫১৫৪ [ যা তাদের ধ্বংস করেছিলো ], শুধুমাত্র ব্যতিক্রম ছিলো লূতের পরিবার। আমি তাদের অতি প্রত্যুষে উদ্ধার করেছিলাম,
