সূরা বাকারা বাংলা

YUSUFALI: The Jews say: “The Christians have naught (to stand) upon; and the Christians say: “The Jews have naught (To stand) upon.” Yet they (Profess to) study the (same) Book. Like unto their word is what those say who know not; but Allah will judge between them in their quarrel on the Day of Judgment.
PICKTHAL: And the Jews say the Christians follow nothing (true), and the Christians say the Jews follow nothing (true); yet both are readers of the Scripture. Even thus speak those who know not. Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they differ.
SHAKIR: And the Jews say: The Christians do not follow anything (good) and the Christians say: The Jews do not follow anything (good) while they recite the (same) Book. Even thus say those who have no knowledge, like to what they say; so Allah shall judge between them on the day of resurrection in what they differ.
KHALIFA: The Jews said, “The Christians have no basis,” while the Christians said, “The Jews have no basis.” Yet, both of them read the scripture. Such are the utterances of those who possess no knowledge. GOD will judge them on the Day of Resurrection, regarding their disputes.

রুকু – ১৪

১১৩। ইহুদীরা বলে, ‘খৃষ্টানদের [বিশ্বাসের] কোন ভিত্তি নাই’; এবং খৃষ্টানেরা বলে, ‘ইহুদীদের [বিশ্বাসের] কোন ভিত্তি নাই।’ যদিও তারা [একই কিতাব] পাঠ করে [বলে স্বীকার করে]। একইভাবে, যারা কিছুই জানে না তারাও অনুরূপ কথা বলে ১১৬। সুতরাং যে বিষয়ে তাদের মতভেদ আছে শেষ বিচারের দিনে আল্লাহ্‌ তা ফয়সালা করবেন।

১১৬। এই আয়াতে কিতাবধারীদের সম্বন্ধে আলোচনা করা হচ্ছে। যদিও তারা ঐশী গ্রন্থপ্রাপ্ত এবং ইব্রাহীমের ধর্মের অনুসারী, তবুও নিজেদের অজ্ঞতা এবং অন্ধ অহংকারে তারা একে অপরের প্রতি বিদ্বেষ পোষণ করে। যদিও তারা সকলেই ঐশী গ্রন্থের অধিকারী।

[সার্বজনীন শিক্ষা হচ্ছে অজ্ঞতা, অন্ধ-অহংকার, একগুঁয়েমী আমাদের অন্তরে অন্ধকারের সৃষ্টি করে যা আমাদের সত্য ও সুন্দরকে চিনতে বাঁধা দান করে। ভালো-মন্দ সব একাকার হয়ে যায়, ফলে সত্যকে অস্বীকার করার প্রবণতা জন্মে।

আয়াতঃ 002.114

যে ব্যাক্তি আল্লাহর মসজিদসমূহে তাঁর নাম উচ্চারণ করতে বাধা দেয় এবং সেগুলোকে উজাড় করতে চেষ্টা করে, তার চাইতে বড় যালেম আর কে? এদের পক্ষে মসজিদসমূহে প্রবেশ করা বিধেয় নয়, অবশ্য ভীত-সন্ত্রস্ত অবস্থায়। ওদের জন্য ইহকালে লাঞ্ছনা এবং পরকালে কঠিন শাস্তি রয়েছে।
And who is more unjust than those who forbid that Allâh’s Name be glorified and mentioned much (i.e. prayers and invocations, etc.) in Allâh’s Mosques and strive for their ruin? It was not fitting that such should themselves enter them (Allâh’s Mosques) except in fear. For them there is disgrace in this world, and they will have a great torment in the Hereafter.

وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن مَّنَعَ مَسَاجِدَ اللّهِ أَن يُذْكَرَ فِيهَا اسْمُهُ وَسَعَى فِي خَرَابِهَا أُوْلَـئِكَ مَا كَانَ لَهُمْ أَن يَدْخُلُوهَا إِلاَّ خَآئِفِينَ لهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ وَلَهُمْ فِي الآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
Waman athlamu mimman manaAAa masajida Allahi an yuthkara feeha ismuhu wasaAAa fee kharabiha ola-ika ma kana lahum an yadkhulooha illa kha-ifeena lahum fee alddunya khizyun walahum fee al-akhirati AAathabun AAatheemun

YUSUFALI: And who is more unjust than he who forbids that in places for the worship of Allah, Allah’s name should be celebrated?-whose zeal is (in fact) to ruin them? It was not fitting that such should themselves enter them except in fear. For them there is nothing but disgrace in this world, and in the world to come, an exceeding torment.
PICKTHAL: And who doth greater wrong than he who forbiddeth the approach to the sanctuaries of Allah lest His name should be mentioned therein, and striveth for their ruin. As for such, it was never meant that they should enter them except in fear. Theirs in the world is ignominy and theirs in the Hereafter is an awful doom.
SHAKIR: And who is more unjust than he who prevents (men) from the masjids of Allah, that His name should be remembered in them, and strives to ruin them? (As for) these, it was not proper for them that they should have entered them except in fear; they shall meet with disgrace in this world, and they shall have great chastisement in the hereafter.
KHALIFA: Who are more evil than those who boycott GOD’s masjids, where His name is commemorated, and contribute to their desertion? These ought not to enter therein except fearfully. They will suffer in this life humiliation, and will suffer in the Hereafter a terrible retribution.
