সূরা নূর

আয়াতঃ 024.001

এটা একটা সূরা যা আমি নাযিল করেছি, এবং দায়িত্বে অপরিহার্য করেছি। এতে আমি সুস্পষ্ট আয়াতসমূহ অবতীর্ণ করেছি, যাতে তোমরা স্মরণ রাখ।

(This is) a Sûrah (chapter of the Qur’ân) which We have sent down and which We have enjoined, (ordained its legal laws) and in it We have revealed manifest Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations lawful and unlawful things, and set boundries of Islâmic Religion), that you may remember.

سُورَةٌ أَنزَلْنَاهَا وَفَرَضْنَاهَا وَأَنزَلْنَا فِيهَا آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
Sooratun anzalnaha wafaradnaha waanzalna feeha ayatin bayyinatin laAAallakum tathakkaroona
YUSUFALI: A sura which We have sent down and which We have ordained in it have We sent down Clear Signs, in order that ye may receive admonition.
PICKTHAL: (Here is) a surah which We have revealed and enjoined, and wherein We have revealed plain tokens, that haply ye may take heed.
SHAKIR: (This is) a chapter which We have revealed and made obligatory and in which We have revealed clear communications that you may be mindful.
KHALIFA: A sura that we have sent down, and we have decreed as law. We have revealed in it clear revelations, that you may take heed.

০১। এটা একটি সূরা যা আমি অবতীর্ণ করেছি এবং যার [ বিধানকে ] অবশ্য পালনীয় করেছি ২৯৫৩। এর মধ্যে আমি স্পষ্ট আয়াতসমূহ প্রেরণ করেছি, যেনো তোমরা উপদেশ গ্রহণ কর।

২৯৫৩। ইসলাম যৌন জীবনের পবিত্রতাকে অত্যন্ত গুরুত্ব সহকারে বিবেচনা করে থাকে। এ কথা কেউ যেনো মনে না করে যে, যৌন জীবনের ছোট-খাট অসংযত আচরণের ক্ষতিকর কোন প্রভাব নাই আধ্যাত্মিক জীবনের উপরে। এই আয়াতটি মূলতঃ যৌন জীবনের পবিত্রতার উপরে অত্যধিক গুরুত্ব আরোপ করে আধ্যাত্মিক জীবনের বিকাশের সাথে সংম্পৃক্ত করা হয়েছে।

আয়াতঃ 024.002

ব্যভিচারিণী নারী ব্যভিচারী পুরুষ; তাদের প্রত্যেককে একশ’ করে বেত্রাঘাত কর। আল্লাহর বিধান কার্যকর কারণে তাদের প্রতি যেন তোমাদের মনে দয়ার উদ্রেক না হয়, যদি তোমরা আল্লাহর প্রতি ও পরকালের প্রতি বিশ্বাসী হয়ে থাক। মুসলমানদের একটি দল যেন তাদের শাস্তি প্রত্যক্ষ করে।

The woman and the man guilty of illegal sexual intercourse, flog each of them with a hundred stripes. Let not pity withhold you in their case, in a punishment prescribed by Allâh, if you believe in Allâh and the Last Day. And let a party of the believers witness their punishment. (This punishment is for unmarried persons guilty of the above crime but if married persons commit it, the punishment is to stone them to death, according to Allâh’s Law).

الزَّانِيَةُ وَالزَّانِي فَاجْلِدُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا مِئَةَ جَلْدَةٍ وَلَا تَأْخُذْكُم بِهِمَا رَأْفَةٌ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَلْيَشْهَدْ عَذَابَهُمَا طَائِفَةٌ مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Alzzaniyatu waalzzanee faijlidoo kulla wahidin minhuma mi-ata jaldatin wala ta/khuthkum bihima ra/fatun fee deeni Allahi in kuntum tu/minoona biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhiri walyashhad AAathabahuma ta-ifatun mina almu/mineena

YUSUFALI: The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication,- flog each of them with a hundred stripes: Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day: and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment.
PICKTHAL: The adulterer and the adulteress, scourge ye each one of them (with) a hundred stripes. And let not pity for the twain withhold you from obedience to Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a party of believers witness their punishment.
SHAKIR: (As for) the fornicatress and the fornicator, flog each of them, (giving) a hundred stripes, and let not pity for them detain you in the matter of obedience to Allah, if you believe in Allah and the last day, and let a party of believers witness their chastisement.
KHALIFA: The adulteress and the adulterer you shall whip each of them a hundred lashes. Do not be swayed by pity from carrying out GOD’s law, if you truly believe in GOD and the Last Day. And let a group of believers witness their penalty.

০২। মহিলা ও পুরুষ , যারা ব্যভিচারের পাপে অভিযুক্ত ২৯৫৪, প্রত্যেককে একশত বেত্রাঘাত করবে ২৯৫৫। যদি তুমি আল্লাহ্‌র বিধানে বিশ্বাস কর এবং শেষ বিচার দিবসে বিশ্বাস কর, তবে আল্লাহ্‌র আদেশ কার্যকর করতে তাদের প্রতি যেনো তোমাদের দয়া না হয়। মুমিনদের একটি দল যেনো তাদের শাস্তির সাক্ষী থাকে ২৯৫৬।
