সূরা হিজর
আয়াতঃ 015.001
আলিফ-লা-ম-রা; এগুলো পরিপূর্ণ গ্রন্থ ও সুস্পষ্ট কোরআনের আয়াত।
Alif-Lâm-Râ. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings]. These are the Verses of the Book, and a plain Qur’ân.
الَرَ تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ وَقُرْآنٍ مُّبِينٍ
Alif-lam-ra tilka ayatu alkitabi waqur-anin mubeenin
YUSUFALI: A. L. R. These are the Ayats of Revelation,- of a Qur’an that makes things clear.
PICKTHAL: Alif. Lam. Ra. These are verses of the Scripture and a plain Reading.
SHAKIR: Alif Lam Ra. These are the verses of the Book and (of) a Quran that makes (things) clear.
KHALIFA: A.L.R. These (letters) are proofs of this scripture; a profound Quran.
আয়াতঃ 015.002
কোন সময় কাফেররা আকাঙ্ক্ষা করবে যে, কি চমৎকার হত, যদি তারা মুসলমান হত।
Perhaps (often) will those who disbelieve wish that they were Muslims [those who have submitted themselves to Allâh’s Will in Islâm Islâmic Monotheism, this will be on the Day of Resurrection when they will see the disbelievers going to Hell and the Muslims going to Paradise].
رُّبَمَا يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوْ كَانُواْ مُسْلِمِينَ
Rubama yawaddu allatheena kafaroo law kanoo muslimeena
YUSUFALI: Again and again will those who disbelieve, wish that they had bowed (to Allah’s will) in Islam.
PICKTHAL: It may be that those who disbelieve wish ardently that they were Muslims.
SHAKIR: Often will those who disbelieve wish that they had been Muslims.
KHALIFA: Certainly, those who disbelieved will wish they were submitters.
আয়াতঃ 015.003
আপনি ছেড়ে দিন তাদেরকে, খেয়ে নিক এবং ভোগ করে নিক এবং আশায় ব্যাপৃত থাকুক। অতি সত্বর তারা জেনে নেবে।
Leave them to eat and enjoy, and let them be preoccupied with (false) hope. They will come to know!
ذَرْهُمْ يَأْكُلُواْ وَيَتَمَتَّعُواْ وَيُلْهِهِمُ الأَمَلُ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
Tharhum ya/kuloo wayatamattaAAoo wayulhihimu al-amalu fasawfa yaAAlamoona
YUSUFALI: Leave them alone, to enjoy (the good things of this life) and to please themselves: let (false) hope amuse them: soon will knowledge (undeceive them).
PICKTHAL: Let them eat and enjoy life, and let (false) hope beguile them. They will come to know!
SHAKIR: Leave them that they may eat and enjoy themselves and (that) hope may beguile them, for they will soon know.
KHALIFA: Let them eat, enjoy, and remain blinded by wishful thinking; they will find out.
আয়াতঃ 015.004
আমি কোন জনপদ ধবংস করিনি; কিন্ত তার নির্দিষ্ট সময় লিখিত ছিল।
And never did We destroy a township but there was a known decree for it.
وَمَا أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلاَّ وَلَهَا كِتَابٌ مَّعْلُومٌ
Wama ahlakna min qaryatin illa walaha kitabun maAAloomun
YUSUFALI: Never did We destroy a population that had not a term decreed and assigned beforehand.
PICKTHAL: And We destroyed no township but there was a known decree for it.
SHAKIR: And never did We destroy a town but it had a term made known.
KHALIFA: We never annihilated any community, except in accordance with a specific, predetermined time.
আয়াতঃ 015.005
কোন সম্প্রদায় তার নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের অগ্রে যায় না এবং পশ্চাতে থাকে না।
No nation can anticipate its term, nor delay it.
مَّا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ
Ma tasbiqu min ommatin ajalaha wama yasta/khiroona
YUSUFALI: Neither can a people anticipate its term, nor delay it.
PICKTHAL: No nation can outstrip its term nor can they lag behind.
SHAKIR: No people can hasten on their doom nor can they postpone (it).
KHALIFA: The end of any community can never be advanced, nor delayed.
আয়াতঃ 015.006
তারা বললঃ হে ঐ ব্যক্তি, যার প্রতি কোরআন নাযিল হয়েছে, আপনি তো একজন উম্মাদ।
And they say: ”O you (Muhammad SAW ) to whom the Dhikr (the Qur’ân) has been sent down! Verily, you are a mad man.
وَقَالُواْ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِي نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ الذِّكْرُ إِنَّكَ لَمَجْنُونٌ
Waqaloo ya ayyuha allathee nuzzila AAalayhi alththikru innaka lamajnoonun
YUSUFALI: They say: “O thou to whom the Message is being revealed! truly thou art mad (or possessed)!
PICKTHAL: And they say: O thou unto whom the Reminder is revealed, lo! thou art indeed a madman!
SHAKIR: And they say: O you to whom the Reminder has been revealed! you are most surely insane:
KHALIFA: They said, “O you who received this reminder, you are crazy.
আয়াতঃ 015.007
যদি আপনি সত্যবাদী হন, তবে আমাদের কাছে ফেরেশতাদেরকে আনেন না কেন?
”Why do you not bring angels to us if you are of the truthful ones?”
لَّوْ مَا تَأْتِينَا بِالْمَلائِكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
Law ma ta/teena bialmala-ikati in kunta mina alssadiqeena
YUSUFALI: “Why bringest thou not angels to us if it be that thou hast the Truth?”
PICKTHAL: Why bringest thou not angels unto us, if thou art of the truthful?
SHAKIR: Why do you not bring to us the angels if you are of the truthful ones?
KHALIFA: “Why do you not bring down the angels, if you are truthful?”
আয়াতঃ 015.008
আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে একমাত্র ফায়সালার জন্যেই নাযিল করি। তখন তাদেরকে অবকাশ দেয়া হবে না।
We send not the angels down except with the truth (i.e. for torment, etc.), and in that case, they (the disbelievers) would have no respite!
مَا نُنَزِّلُ الْمَلائِكَةَ إِلاَّ بِالحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُواْ إِذًا مُّنظَرِينَ
Ma nunazzilu almala-ikata illa bialhaqqi wama kanoo ithan munthareena
YUSUFALI: We send not the angels down except for just cause: if they came (to the ungodly), behold! no respite would they have!
PICKTHAL: We send not down the angels save with the Fact, and in that case (the disbelievers) would not be tolerated.
SHAKIR: We do not send the angels but with truth, and then they would not be respited.
KHALIFA: We do not send down the angels except for specific functions. Otherwise, no one will be respited.
আয়াতঃ 015.009
আমি স্বয়ং এ উপদেশ গ্রন্থ অবতারণ করেছি এবং আমি নিজেই এর সংরক্ষক।
Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur’ân) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption).
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ
Inna nahnu nazzalna alththikra wa-inna lahu lahafithoona
YUSUFALI: We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption).
PICKTHAL: Lo! We, even We, reveal the Reminder, and lo! We verily are its Guardian.
SHAKIR: Surely We have revealed the Reminder and We will most surely be its guardian.
KHALIFA: Absolutely, we have revealed the reminder, and, absolutely, we will preserve it.
আয়াতঃ 015.010
আমি আপনার পূর্বে পূর্ববর্তী সম্প্রদায়ের মধ্যে রসূল প্রেরণ করেছি।
Indeed, We sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad SAW) amongst the sects (communities) of old.
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِي شِيَعِ الأَوَّلِينَ
Walaqad arsalna min qablika fee shiyaAAi al-awwaleena
YUSUFALI: We did send messengers before thee amongst the religious sects of old:
PICKTHAL: We verily sent (messengers) before thee among the factions of the men of old.
SHAKIR: And certainly We sent (messengers) before you among the nations of yore.
KHALIFA: We have sent (messengers) before you to the communities in the past.
আয়াতঃ 015.011
ওদের কাছে এমন কোন রসূল আসেননি, যাদের সাথে ওরা ঠাট্টাবিদ্রূপ করতে থাকেনি।
And never came a Messenger to them but they did mock him.
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلاَّ كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ
Wama ya/teehim min rasoolin illa kanoo bihi yastahzi-oona
YUSUFALI: But never came a messenger to them but they mocked him.
PICKTHAL: And never came there unto them a messenger but they did mock him.
SHAKIR: And there never came a messenger to them but they mocked him.
KHALIFA: Every time a messenger went to them, they ridiculed him.
আয়াতঃ 015.012
এমনিভাবে আমি এ ধরনের আচরণ পাপীদের অন্তরে বদ্ধমূল করে দেই।
Thus do We let it (polytheism and disbelief) enter into the hearts of the Mujrimûn [criminals, polytheists, pagans, etc. (because of their mockery at the Messengers)].
كَذَلِكَ نَسْلُكُهُ فِي قُلُوبِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ
Kathalika naslukuhu fee quloobi almujrimeena
YUSUFALI: Even so do we let it creep into the hearts of the sinners –
PICKTHAL: Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty:
SHAKIR: Thus do We make it to enter into the hearts of the guilty;
KHALIFA: We thus control the minds of the guilty.
আয়াতঃ 015.013
ওরা এর প্রতি বিশ্বাস করবে না। পূর্ববর্তীদের এমন রীতি চলে আসছে।
They would not believe in it (the Qur’ân), and already the example of (Allâh’s punishment of) the ancients (who disbelieved) has gone forth.
لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ سُنَّةُ الأَوَّلِينَ
La yu/minoona bihi waqad khalat sunnatu al-awwaleena
YUSUFALI: That they should not believe in the (Message); but the ways of the ancients have passed away.
PICKTHAL: They believe not therein, though the example of the men of old hath gone before.
SHAKIR: They do not believe in it, and indeed the example of the former people has already passed.
KHALIFA: Consequently, they cannot believe in him. This has been the system since the past generations.
আয়াতঃ 015.014
যদি আমি ওদের সামনে আকাশের কোন দরজাও খুলে দেই আর তাতে ওরা দিনভর আরোহণ ও করতে থাকে।
And even if We opened to them a gate from the heaven and they were to continue ascending thereto,
وَلَوْ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًا مِّنَ السَّمَاء فَظَلُّواْ فِيهِ يَعْرُجُونَ
Walaw fatahna AAalayhim baban mina alssama-i fathalloo feehi yaAArujoona
YUSUFALI: Even if We opened out to them a gate from heaven, and they were to continue (all day) ascending therein,
PICKTHAL: And even if We opened unto them a gate of heaven and they kept mounting through it,
SHAKIR: And even if We open to them a gateway of heaven, so that they ascend into it all the while,
KHALIFA: Even if we opened for them a gate into the sky, through which they climb;
আয়াতঃ 015.015
তবুও ওরা একথাই বলবে যে, আমাদের দৃষ্টির বিভ্রাট ঘটানো হয়েছে না বরং আমরা যাদুগ্রস্ত হয়ে পড়েছি।
They would surely say: ”Our eyes have been (as if) dazzled. Nay, we are a people bewitched.”
لَقَالُواْ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتْ أَبْصَارُنَا بَلْ نَحْنُ قَوْمٌ مَّسْحُورُونَ
Laqaloo innama sukkirat absaruna bal nahnu qawmun mashooroona
YUSUFALI: They would only say: “Our eyes have been intoxicated: Nay, we have been bewitched by sorcery.”
PICKTHAL: They would say: Our sight is wrong – nay, but we are folk bewitched.
SHAKIR: They would certainly say: Only our eyes have been covered over, rather we are an enchanted people.
KHALIFA: they will say, “Our eyes have been deceived. We have been bewitched.”
আয়াতঃ 015.016
নিশ্চয় আমি আকাশে রাশিচক্র সৃষ্টি করেছি এবং তাকে দর্শকদের জন্যে সুশোভিত করে দিয়েছি।
And indeed, We have put the big stars in the heaven and We beautified it for the beholders.
وَلَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا فِي السَّمَاء بُرُوجًا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا لِلنَّاظِرِينَ
Walaqad jaAAalna fee alssama-i buroojan wazayyannaha lilnnathireena
YUSUFALI: It is We Who have set out the zodiacal signs in the heavens, and made them fair-seeming to (all) beholders;
PICKTHAL: And verily in the heaven we have set mansions of the stars, and We have beautified it for beholders.
SHAKIR: And certainly We have made strongholds in the heaven and We have made it fair seeming to the beholders.
KHALIFA: We placed galaxies in the sky, and adorned it for the beholders.
আয়াতঃ 015.017
আমি আকাশকে প্রত্যেক বিতাড়িত শয়তান থেকে নিরাপদ করে দিয়েছি।
And We have guarded it (near heaven) from every outcast Shaitân (devil).
وَحَفِظْنَاهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ رَّجِيمٍ
Wahafithnaha min kulli shaytanin rajeemin
YUSUFALI: And (moreover) We have guarded them from every cursed devil:
PICKTHAL: And We have guarded it from every outcast devil,
SHAKIR: And We guard it against every accursed Shaitan,
KHALIFA: And we guarded it against every rejected devil.
আয়াতঃ 015.018
কিন্তু যে চুরি করে শুনে পালায়, তার পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করে উজ্জ্বল উল্কাপিন্ড।
Except him (devil) that gains hearing by stealing, he is pursued by a clear flaming fire.
إِلاَّ مَنِ اسْتَرَقَ السَّمْعَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِهَابٌ مُّبِينٌ
Illa mani istaraqa alssamAAa faatbaAAahu shihabun mubeenun
YUSUFALI: But any that gains a hearing by stealth, is pursued by a flaming fire, bright (to see).
PICKTHAL: Save him who stealeth the hearing, and them doth a clear flame pursue.
SHAKIR: But he who steals a hearing, so there follows him a visible flame.
KHALIFA: If any of them sneaks around to listen, a mighty projectile will chase him back.
আয়াতঃ 015.019
আমি ভু-পৃষ্ঠকে বিস্তৃত করেছি এবং তার উপর পর্বতমালা স্থাপন করেছি এবং তাতে প্রত্যেক বস্তু সুপরিমিতভাবে উৎপন্ন করেছি।
And the earth We spread out, and placed therein firm mountains, and caused to grow therein all kinds of things in due proportion.
وَالأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مَّوْزُونٍ
Waal-arda madadnaha waalqayna feeha rawasiya waanbatna feeha min kulli shay-in mawzoonin
YUSUFALI: And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance.
PICKTHAL: And the earth have We spread out, and placed therein firm hills, and caused each seemly thing to grow therein.
SHAKIR: And the earth– We have spread it forth and made in it firm mountains and caused to grow in it of every suitable thing.
KHALIFA: As for the earth, we constructed it, and placed on it stabilizers (mountains), and we grew on it a perfect balance of everything.
আয়াতঃ 015.020
আমি তোমাদের জন্যে তাতে জীবিকার উপকরন সৃষ্টি করছি এবং তাদের জন্যেও যাদের অন্নদাতা তোমরা নও।
And We have provided therein means of living, for you and for those whom you provide not [moving (living) creatures, cattle, beasts, and other animals].
وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَايِشَ وَمَن لَّسْتُمْ لَهُ بِرَازِقِينَ
WajaAAalna lakum feeha maAAayisha waman lastum lahu biraziqeena
YUSUFALI: And We have provided therein means of subsistence,- for you and for those for whose sustenance ye are not responsible.
PICKTHAL: And we have given unto you livelihoods therein, and unto those for whom ye provide not.
SHAKIR: And We have made in it means of subsistence for you and for him for whom you are not the suppliers.
KHALIFA: We made it habitable for you, and for creatures you do not provide for.
আয়াতঃ 015.021
আমার কাছে প্রত্যেক বস্তুর ভান্ডার রয়েছে। আমি নির্দিষ্ট পরিমানেই তা অবতরণ করি।
And there is not a thing, but with Us are the stores thereof. And We send it not down except in a known measure.
وَإِن مِّن شَيْءٍ إِلاَّ عِندَنَا خَزَائِنُهُ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُ إِلاَّ بِقَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
Wa-in min shay-in illa AAindana khaza-inuhu wama nunazziluhu illa biqadarin maAAloomin
YUSUFALI: And there is not a thing but its (sources and) treasures (inexhaustible) are with Us; but We only send down thereof in due and ascertainable measures.
PICKTHAL: And there is not a thing but with Us are the stores thereof. And we send it not down save in appointed measure.
SHAKIR: And there is not a thing but with Us are the treasures of it, and We do not send it down but in a known measure.
KHALIFA: There is nothing that we do not own infinite amounts thereof. But we send it down in precise measure.
আয়াতঃ 015.022
আমি বৃষ্টিগর্ভ বায়ু পরিচালনা করি অতঃপর আকাশ থেকে পানি বর্ষণ করি, এরপর তোমাদেরকে তা পান করাই। বস্তুতঃ তোমাদের কাছে এর ভান্ডার নেই।
And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then caused the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We gave it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like].
وَأَرْسَلْنَا الرِّيَاحَ لَوَاقِحَ فَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاء مَاء فَأَسْقَيْنَاكُمُوهُ وَمَا أَنتُمْ لَهُ بِخَازِنِينَ
Waarsalna alrriyaha lawaqiha faanzalna mina alssama-i maan faasqaynakumoohu wama antum lahu bikhazineena
YUSUFALI: And We send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores.
PICKTHAL: And We send the winds fertilising, and cause water to descend from the sky, and give it you to drink. It is not ye who are the holders of the store thereof.
SHAKIR: And We send the winds fertilizing, then send down water from the cloud so We give it to you to drink of, nor is it you who store it up.
KHALIFA: And we send the winds as pollinators, and cause water to come down from the sky for you to drink. Otherwise, you could not keep it palatable.
আয়াতঃ 015.023
আমিই জীবনদান করি, মৃত্যুদান করি এবং আমিই চুড়ান্ত মালিকানার অধিকারী।
And certainly We! We it is Who give life, and cause death, and We are the Inheritors.
وَإنَّا لَنَحْنُ نُحْيِي وَنُمِيتُ وَنَحْنُ الْوَارِثُونَ
Wa-inna lanahnu nuhyee wanumeetu wanahnu alwarithoona
YUSUFALI: And verily, it is We Who give life, and Who give death: it is We Who remain inheritors (after all else passes away).
PICKTHAL: Lo! and it is We, even We, Who quicken and give death, and We are the Inheritor.
SHAKIR: And most surely We bring to life and cause to die and We are the heirs.
KHALIFA: It is we who control life and death, and we are the ultimate inheritors.
আয়াতঃ 015.024
আমি জেনে রেখেছি তোমাদের অগ্রগামীদেরকে এবং আমি জেনে রেখেছি পশ্চাদগামীদেরকে।
And indeed, We know the first generations of you who had passed away, and indeed, We know the present generations of you (mankind), and also those who will come afterwards.
وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا الْمُسْتَقْدِمِينَ مِنكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا الْمُسْتَأْخِرِينَ
Walaqad AAalimna almustaqdimeena minkum walaqad AAalimna almusta/khireena
YUSUFALI: To Us are known those of you who hasten forward, and those who lag behind.
PICKTHAL: And verily We know the eager among you and verily We know the laggards.
SHAKIR: And certainly We know those of you who have gone before and We certainly know those who shall come later.
KHALIFA: And we fully know those among you who advance, and we fully know those who regress.
আয়াতঃ 015.025
আপনার পালনকর্তাই তাদেরকে একত্রিত করে আনবেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি প্রজ্ঞাবান, জ্ঞানময়।
And verily, your Lord will gather them together. Truly, He is All-Wise, All-Knowing.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ إِنَّهُ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ
Wa-inna rabbaka huwa yahshuruhum innahu hakeemun AAaleemun
YUSUFALI: Assuredly it is thy Lord Who will gather them together: for He is perfect in Wisdom and Knowledge.
PICKTHAL: Lo! thy Lord will gather them together. Lo! He is Wise, Aware.
SHAKIR: And surely your Lord will gather them together; surely He is Wise, Knowing.
KHALIFA: Your Lord will surely summon them. He is Most Wise, Omniscient.
আয়াতঃ 015.026
আমি মানবকে পচা কর্দম থেকে তৈরী বিশুস্ক ঠনঠনে মাটি দ্বারা সৃষ্টি করেছি।
And indeed, We created man from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud.
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الإِنسَانَ مِن صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ
Walaqad khalaqna al-insana min salsalin min hama-in masnoonin
YUSUFALI: We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape;
PICKTHAL: Verily We created man of potter’s clay of black mud altered,
SHAKIR: And certainly We created man of clay that gives forth sound, of black mud fashioned in shape.
KHALIFA: We created the human being from aged mud, like the potter’s clay.
আয়াতঃ 015.027
এবং জিনকে এর আগে লু এর আগুনের দ্বারা সৃজিত করেছি।
And the jinn, We created aforetime from the smokeless flame of fire.
وَالْجَآنَّ خَلَقْنَاهُ مِن قَبْلُ مِن نَّارِ السَّمُومِ
Waaljanna khalaqnahu min qablu min nari alssamoomi
YUSUFALI: And the Jinn race, We had created before, from the fire of a scorching wind.
PICKTHAL: And the jinn did We create aforetime of essential fire.
SHAKIR: And the jinn We created before, of intensely hot fire.
KHALIFA: As for the jinns, we created them, before that, from blazing fire
আয়াতঃ 015.028
আর আপনার পালনকর্তা যখন ফেরেশতাদেরকে বললেনঃ আমি পচা কর্দম থেকে তৈরী বিশুষ্ক ঠনঠনে মাটি দ্বারা সৃষ্ট একটি মানব জাতির পত্তন করব।
And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: ”I am going to create a man (Adam) from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud.
وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ إِنِّي خَالِقٌ بَشَرًا مِّن صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ
Wa-ith qala rabbuka lilmala-ikati innee khaliqun basharan min salsalin min hama-in masnoonin
YUSUFALI: Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: “I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape;
PICKTHAL: And (remember) when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am creating a mortal out of potter’s clay of black mud altered,
SHAKIR: And when your Lord said to the angels: Surely I am going to create a mortal of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape.
KHALIFA: Your Lord said to the angels, “I am creating a human being from aged mud, like the potter’s clay.
আয়াতঃ 015.029
অতঃপর যখন তাকে ঠিকঠাক করে নেব এবং তাতে আমার রূহ থেকে ফঁুক দেব, তখন তোমরা তার সামনে সেজদায় পড়ে যেয়ো।
”So, when I have fashioned him completely and breathed into him (Adam) the soul which I created for him, then fall (you) down prostrating yourselves unto him.”
فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِي فَقَعُواْ لَهُ سَاجِدِينَ
Fa-itha sawwaytuhu wanafakhtu feehi min roohee faqaAAoo lahu sajideena
YUSUFALI: “When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him.”
PICKTHAL: So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him.
SHAKIR: So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down making obeisance to him.
KHALIFA: “Once I perfect him, and blow into him from My spirit, you shall fall prostrate before him.”
আয়াতঃ 015.030
তখন ফেরেশতারা সবাই মিলে সেজদা করল।
So, the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together.
فَسَجَدَ الْمَلآئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ
Fasajada almala-ikatu kulluhum ajmaAAoona
YUSUFALI: So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together:
PICKTHAL: So the angels fell prostrate, all of them together
SHAKIR: So the angels made obeisance, all of them together,
KHALIFA: The angels fell prostrate; all of them,
আয়াতঃ 015.031
কিন্তু ইবলীস-সে সেজদাকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হতে স্বীকৃত হল না।
Except Iblîs (Satan), – he refused to be among the prostrators.
إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَى أَن يَكُونَ مَعَ السَّاجِدِينَ
Illa ibleesa aba an yakoona maAAa alssajideena
YUSUFALI: Not so Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves.
PICKTHAL: Save Iblis. He refused to be among the prostrate.
SHAKIR: But Iblis (did it not); he refused to be with those who made obeisance.
KHALIFA: except Iblis (Satan). He refused to be with the prostrators.
আয়াতঃ 015.032
আল্লাহ বললেনঃ হে ইবলিস, তোমার কি হলো যে তুমি সেজদাকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হতে স্বীকৃত হলে না?
(Allâh) said: ”O Iblîs (Satan)! What is your reason for not being among the prostrators?”
قَالَ يَا إِبْلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلاَّ تَكُونَ مَعَ السَّاجِدِينَ
Qala ya ibleesu ma laka alla takoona maAAa alssajideena
YUSUFALI: (Allah) said: “O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?”
PICKTHAL: He said: O Iblis! What aileth thee that thou art not among the prostrate?
SHAKIR: He said: O Iblis! what excuse have you that you are not with those who make obeisance?
KHALIFA: He said, “O Iblis (Satan), why are you not with the prostrators?”
আয়াতঃ 015.033
বললঃ আমি এমন নই যে, একজন মানবকে সেজদা করব, যাকে আপনি পচা কর্দম থেকে তৈরী ঠনঠনে বিশুষ্ক মাটি দ্বারা সৃষ্টি করেছেন।
[Iblîs (Satan)] said: ”I am not the one to prostrate myself to a human being, whom You created from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud.”
قَالَ لَمْ أَكُن لِّأَسْجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقْتَهُ مِن صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ
Qala lam akun li-asjuda libasharin khalaqtahu min salsalin min hama-in masnoonin
YUSUFALI: (Iblis) said: “I am not one to prostrate myself to man, whom Thou didst create from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape.”
PICKTHAL: He said: I am not one to prostrate myself unto a mortal whom Thou hast created out of potter’s clay of black mud altered!
SHAKIR: He said: I am not such that I should make obeisance to a mortal whom Thou hast created of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape.
KHALIFA: He said, “I am not to prostrate before a human being, whom You created from aged mud, like the potter’s clay.”
আয়াতঃ 015.034
আল্লাহ বললেনঃ তবে তুমি এখান থেকে বের হয়ে যাও। তুমি বিতাড়িত।
(Allâh) said: ”Then, get out from here, for verily, you are Rajîm (an outcast or a cursed one).” [Tafsîr At-Tabarî]
قَالَ فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ
Qala faokhruj minha fa-innaka rajeemun
YUSUFALI: (Allah) said: “Then get thee out from here; for thou art rejected, accursed.
PICKTHAL: He said: Then go thou forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast.
SHAKIR: He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away:
KHALIFA: He said, “Therefore, you must get out; you are banished.
আয়াতঃ 015.035
এবং তোমার প্রতি ন্যায় বিচারের দিন পর্যন্ত অভিসম্পাত।
”And verily, the curse shall be upon you till the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).”
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ اللَّعْنَةَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
Wa-inna AAalayka allaAAnata ila yawmi alddeeni
YUSUFALI: “And the curse shall be on thee till the day of Judgment.”
PICKTHAL: And lo! the curse shall be upon thee till the Day of Judgment.
SHAKIR: And surely on you is curse until the day of judgment.
KHALIFA: “You have incurred My condemnation until the Day of Judgment.”
আয়াতঃ 015.036
সে বললঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আপনি আমাকে পুনরুত্থান দিবস পর্যন্ত অবকাশ দিন।
[Iblîs (Satan)] said: ”O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day they (the dead) will be resurrected.”
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِي إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
Qala rabbi faanthirnee ila yawmi yubAAathoona
YUSUFALI: (Iblis) said: “O my Lord! give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised.”
PICKTHAL: He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised.
SHAKIR: He said: My Lord! then respite me till the time when they are raised.
KHALIFA: He said, “My Lord, respite me until the day they are resurrected.”
আয়াতঃ 015.037
আল্লাহ বললেনঃ তোমাকে অবকাশ দেয়া হল।
Allâh said: ”Then, verily, you are of those reprieved,
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنظَرِينَ
Qala fa-innaka mina almunthareena
YUSUFALI: (Allah) said: “Respite is granted thee
PICKTHAL: He said: Then lo! thou art of those reprieved
SHAKIR: He said: So surely you are of the respited ones
KHALIFA: He said, “You are respited.
আয়াতঃ 015.038
সেই অবধারিত সময় উপস্থিত হওয়ার দিন পর্যন্ত।
”Till the Day of the time appointed.”
إِلَى يَومِ الْوَقْتِ الْمَعْلُومِ
Ila yawmi alwaqti almaAAloomi
YUSUFALI: “Till the Day of the Time appointed.”
PICKTHAL: Till the Day of appointed time.
SHAKIR: Till the period of the time made known.
KHALIFA: “Until the specified day and time.”
আয়াতঃ 015.039
সে বললঃ হে আমার পলনকর্তা, আপনি যেমন আমাকে পথ ভ্রষ্ট করেছেন, আমিও তাদের সবাইকে পৃথিবীতে নানা সৌন্দর্যে আকৃষ্ট করব এবং তাদের সবাইকে পথ ভ্রষ্ঠ করে দেব।
[Iblîs (Satan)] said: ”O my Lord! Because you misled me, I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them (mankind) on the earth, and I shall mislead them all.
قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَغْوَيْتَنِي لأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
Qala rabbi bima aghwaytanee laozayyinanna lahum fee al-ardi walaoghwiyannahum ajmaAAeena
YUSUFALI: (Iblis) said: “O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong,-
PICKTHAL: He said: My Lord! Because Thou hast sent me astray, I verily shall adorn the path of error for them in the earth, and shall mislead them every one,
SHAKIR: He said: My Lord! because Thou hast made life evil to me, I will certainly make (evil) fair-seeming to them on earth, and I will certainly cause them all to deviate
KHALIFA: He said, “My Lord, since You have willed that I go astray, I will surely entice them on earth; I will send them all astray.
আয়াতঃ 015.040
আপনার মনোনীত বান্দাদের ব্যতীত।
”Except Your chosen, (guided) slaves among them.”
إِلاَّ عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
Illa AAibadaka minhumu almukhlaseena
YUSUFALI: “Except Thy servants among them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace).”
PICKTHAL: Save such of them as are Thy perfectly devoted slaves.
SHAKIR: Except Thy servants from among them, the devoted ones.
KHALIFA: “Except those among Your worshipers who are devoted absolutely to You alone.”
আয়াতঃ 015.041
আল্লাহ বললেনঃ এটা আমা পর্যন্ত সোজা পথ।
(Allâh) said: ”This is the Way which will lead straight to Me.”
قَالَ هَذَا صِرَاطٌ عَلَيَّ مُسْتَقِيمٌ
Qala hatha siratun AAalayya mustaqeemun
YUSUFALI: (Allah) said: “This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me.
PICKTHAL: He said: This is a right course incumbent upon Me:
SHAKIR: He said: This is a right way with Me:
KHALIFA: He said, “This is a law that is inviolable.
আয়াতঃ 015.042
যারা আমার বান্দা, তাদের উপর তোমার কোন ক্ষমতা নেই; কিন্তু পথভ্রান্তদের মধ্য থেকে যারা তোমার পথে চলে।
”Certainly, you shall have no authority over My slaves, except those who follow you of the Ghâwîn (Mushrikûn and those who go astray, criminals, polytheists, and evil-doers, etc.).
إِنَّ عِبَادِي لَيْسَ لَكَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَانٌ إِلاَّ مَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْغَاوِينَ
Inna AAibadee laysa laka AAalayhim sultanun illa mani ittabaAAaka mina alghaweena
YUSUFALI: “For over My servants no authority shalt thou have, except such as put themselves in the wrong and follow thee.”
PICKTHAL: Lo! as for My slaves, thou hast no power over any of them save such of the froward as follow thee,
SHAKIR: Surely. as regards My servants, you have no authority ,over them except those who follow you of the deviators.
KHALIFA: “You have no power over My servants. You only have power over the strayers who follow you.
আয়াতঃ 015.043
তাদের সবার নির্ধারিত স্থান হচ্ছে জাহান্নাম।
”And surely, Hell is the promised place for them all.
وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوْعِدُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
Wa-inna jahannama lamawAAiduhum ajmaAAeena
YUSUFALI: And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all!
PICKTHAL: And lo! for all such, hell will be the promised place.
SHAKIR: And surely Hell is the promised place of them all:
KHALIFA: “And Hell awaits them all.
আয়াতঃ 015.044
এর সাতটি দরজা আছে। প্রত্যেক দরজার জন্যে এক একটি পৃথক দল আছে।
”It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned.
لَهَا سَبْعَةُ أَبْوَابٍ لِّكُلِّ بَابٍ مِّنْهُمْ جُزْءٌ مَّقْسُومٌ
Laha sabAAatu abwabin likulli babin minhum juz-on maqsoomun
YUSUFALI: To it are seven gates: for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned.
PICKTHAL: It hath seven gates, and each gate hath an appointed portion.
SHAKIR: It has seven gates; for every gate there shall be a separate party of them.
KHALIFA: “It will have seven gates. Each gate will get a specific share of them.”
আয়াতঃ 015.045
নিশ্চয় খোদাভীরুরা বাগান ও নির্ঝরিনীসহূহে থাকবে।
”Truly! The Muttaqûn (pious and righteous persons – see V.2:2) will be amidst Gardens and water-springs (Paradise).
إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin waAAuyoonin
YUSUFALI: The righteous (will be) amid gardens and fountains (of clear-flowing water).
PICKTHAL: Lo! those who ward off (evil) are among gardens and watersprings.
SHAKIR: Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains:
KHALIFA: As for the righteous, they will enjoy gardens and springs.
আয়াতঃ 015.046
বলা হবেঃ এগুলোতে নিরাপত্তা ও শান্তি সহকরে প্রবেশ কর।
”(It will be said to them): ’Enter therein (Paradise), in peace and security.’
ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلاَمٍ آمِنِينَ
Odkhulooha bisalamin amineena
YUSUFALI: (Their greeting will be): “Enter ye here in peace and security.”
PICKTHAL: (And it is said unto them): Enter them in peace, secure.
SHAKIR: Enter them in peace, secure.
KHALIFA: Enter therein, peaceful and secure.
আয়াতঃ 015.047
তাদের অন্তরে যে ক্রোধ ছিল, আমি তা দূর করে দেব। তারা ভাই ভাইয়ের মত সামনা-সামনি আসনে বসবে।
”And We shall remove from their breasts any sense of injury (that they may have), (So they will be like) brothers facing each other on thrones.
وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِم مِّنْ غِلٍّ إِخْوَانًا عَلَى سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَابِلِينَ
WanazaAAna ma fee sudoorihim min ghillin ikhwanan AAala sururin mutaqabileena
YUSUFALI: And We shall remove from their hearts any lurking sense of injury: (they will be) brothers (joyfully) facing each other on thrones (of dignity).
PICKTHAL: And We remove whatever rancour may be in their breasts. As brethren, face to face, (they rest) on couches raised.
SHAKIR: And We will root out whatever of rancor is in their breasts– (they shall be) as brethren, on raised couches, face to face.
KHALIFA: We remove all jealousy from their hearts. Like one family, they will be on adjacent furnishings.
আয়াতঃ 015.048
সেখানে তাদের মোটেই কষ্ট হবে না এবং তারা সেখান থেকে বহিস্কৃত হবে না।
”No sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave it.”
لاَ يَمَسُّهُمْ فِيهَا نَصَبٌ وَمَا هُم مِّنْهَا بِمُخْرَجِينَ
La yamassuhum feeha nasabun wama hum minha bimukhrajeena
YUSUFALI: There no sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave.
PICKTHAL: Toil cometh not unto them there, nor will they be expelled from thence.
SHAKIR: Toil shall not afflict them in it, nor shall they be ever ejected from it.
KHALIFA: Never will they suffer any fatigue therein; never will they be evicted therefrom.
আয়াতঃ 015.049
আপনি আমার বান্দাদেরকে জানিয়ে দিন যে, আমি অত্যন্ত ক্ষমাশীল দয়ালু।
Declare (O Muhammad SAW) unto My slaves, that truly, I am the Oft-Forgiving, the Most-Merciful.
نَبِّىءْ عِبَادِي أَنِّي أَنَا الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
Nabbi/ AAibadee annee ana alghafooru alrraheemu
YUSUFALI: Tell My servants that I am indeed the Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful;
PICKTHAL: Announce, (O Muhammad) unto My slaves that verily I am the Forgiving, the Merciful,
SHAKIR: Inform My servants that I am the Forgiving, the Merciful,
KHALIFA: Inform My servants that I am the Forgiver, Most Merciful.
আয়াতঃ 015.050
এবং ইহাও যে, আমার শাস্তিই যন্ত্রনাদায়ক শাস্তি।
And that My Torment is indeed the most painful torment.
وَ أَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الأَلِيمَ
Waanna AAathabee huwa alAAathabu al-aleemu
YUSUFALI: And that My Penalty will be indeed the most grievous Penalty.
PICKTHAL: And that My doom is the dolorous doom.
SHAKIR: And that My punishment– that is the painful punishment.
KHALIFA: And that My retribution is the most painful retribution.
আয়াতঃ 015.051
আপনি তাদেরকে ইব্রাহীমের মেহমানদের অবস্থা শুনিয়ে দিন।
And tell them about the guests (the angels) of Ibrâhim (Abraham).
وَنَبِّئْهُمْ عَن ضَيْفِ إِبْراَهِيمَ
Wanabbi/hum AAan dayfi ibraheema
YUSUFALI: Tell them about the guests of Abraham.
PICKTHAL: And tell them of Abraham’s guests,
SHAKIR: And inform them of the guests of Ibrahim:
KHALIFA: Inform them about Abraham’s guests.
আয়াতঃ 015.052
যখন তারা তাঁর গৃহে আগমন করল এবং বললঃ সালাম। তিনি বললেনঃ আমরা তোমাদের ব্যাপারে ভীত।
When they entered unto him, and said: Salâman (peace)! [Ibrâhim (Abraham)] said: ”Indeed! We are afraid of you.”
إِذْ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلامًا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ
Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloo salaman qala inna minkum wajiloona
YUSUFALI: When they entered his presence and said, “Peace!” He said, “We feel afraid of you!”
PICKTHAL: (How) when they came in unto him, and said: Peace. He said: Lo! we are afraid of you.
SHAKIR: When they entered upon him, they said, Peace. He said: Surely we are afraid of you.
KHALIFA: When they entered his quarters, they said, “Peace.” He said, “We are apprehensive about you.”
আয়াতঃ 015.053
তারা বললঃ ভয় করবেন না। আমরা আপনাকে একজন জ্ঞানবান ছেলে-সন্তানের সুসংবাদ দিচ্ছি।
They (the angels) said: ”Do not be afraid! We give you glad tidings of a boy (son) possessing much knowledge and wisdom.”
قَالُواْ لاَ تَوْجَلْ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلامٍ عَلِيمٍ
Qaloo la tawjal inna nubashshiruka bighulamin AAaleemin
YUSUFALI: They said: “Fear not! We give thee glad tidings of a son endowed with wisdom.”
PICKTHAL: They said: Be not afraid! Lo! we bring thee good tidings of a boy possessing wisdom.
SHAKIR: They said: Be not afraid, surely we give you the good news of a boy, possessing knowledge.
KHALIFA: They said, “Do not be apprehensive. We have good news for you: an enlightened son.”
আয়াতঃ 015.054
তিনি বললেনঃ তোমরা কি আমাকে এমতাবস্থায় সুসংবাদ দিচ্ছ, যখন আমি বার্ধক্যে পৌছে গেছি ?
[Ibrâhim (Abraham)] said: ”Do you give me glad tidings (of a son) when old age has overtaken me? Of what then is your news?”
قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِي عَلَى أَن مَّسَّنِيَ الْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ
Qala abashshartumoonee AAala an massaniya alkibaru fabima tubashshirooni
YUSUFALI: He said: “Do ye give me glad tidings that old age has seized me? Of what, then, is your good news?”
PICKTHAL: He said: Bring ye me good tidings (of a son) when old age hath overtaken me? Of what then can ye bring good tidings?
SHAKIR: He said: Do you give me good news (of a son) when old age has come upon me?– Of what then do you give me good news!
KHALIFA: He said, “How can you give me such good news, when I am so old? Do you still give me this good news?”
আয়াতঃ 015.055
তারা বললঃ আমরা আপনাকে সত্য সু-সংবাদ দিচ্ছি! অতএব আপনি নিরাশ হবেন না।
They (the angels) said: ”We give you glad tidings in truth. So be not of the despairing ones.”
قَالُواْ بَشَّرْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلاَ تَكُن مِّنَ الْقَانِطِينَ
Qaloo bashsharnaka bialhaqqi fala takun mina alqaniteena
YUSUFALI: They said: “We give thee glad tidings in truth: be not then in despair!”
PICKTHAL: They said: We bring thee good tidings in truth. So be not thou of the despairing.
SHAKIR: They said: We give you good news with truth, therefore be not of the despairing.
KHALIFA: They said, “The good news we give you is true; do not despair.”
আয়াতঃ 015.056
তিনি বললেনঃ পালনকর্তার রহমত থেকে পথভ্রষ্টরা ছাড়া কে নিরাশ হয় ?
[Ibrâhim (Abraham)] said: ”And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?”
قَالَ وَمَن يَقْنَطُ مِن رَّحْمَةِ رَبِّهِ إِلاَّ الضَّآلُّونَ
Qala waman yaqnatu min rahmati rabbihi illa alddalloona
YUSUFALI: He said: “And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, but such as go astray?”
PICKTHAL: He said: And who despaireth of the mercy of his Lord save those who are astray?
SHAKIR: He said: And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord but the erring ones?
KHALIFA: He said, “None despairs of his Lord’s mercy, except the strayers.”
আয়াতঃ 015.057
তিনি বললেনঃ অতঃপর তোমাদের প্রধান উদ্দেশ্য কি হে আল্লাহর প্রেরিতগণ ?
[Ibrâhim (Abraham) again] said: ”What then is the business on which you have come, O Messengers?”
قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ
Qala fama khatbukum ayyuha almursaloona
YUSUFALI: Abraham said: “What then is the business on which ye (have come), O ye messengers (of Allah)?”
PICKTHAL: He said: And afterward what is your business, O ye messengers (of Allah)?
SHAKIR: He said: What is your business then, O messengers?
KHALIFA: He said, “What is your mission, O messengers?”
আয়াতঃ 015.058
তারা বললঃ আমরা একটি অপরাধী সম্প্রদায়ের প্রতি প্রেরিত হয়েছি।
They (the angels) said: ”We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimûn (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners).
قَالُواْ إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَى قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ
Qaloo inna orsilna ila qawmin mujrimeena
YUSUFALI: They said: “We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin,
PICKTHAL: They said: We have been sent unto a guilty folk,
SHAKIR: They said: Surely we are sent towards a guilty people,
KHALIFA: They said, “We are being dispatched to guilty people.
আয়াতঃ 015.059
কিন্তু লূতের পরিবার-পরিজন। আমরা অবশ্যই তাদের সবাইকে বাঁচিয়ে নেব।
”(All) except the family of Lout (Lot). Them all we are surely going to save (from destruction).
إِلاَّ آلَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
Illa ala lootin inna lamunajjoohum ajmaAAeena
YUSUFALI: “Excepting the adherents of Lut: them we are certainly (charged) to save (from harm),- All –
PICKTHAL: (All) save the family of Lot. Them we shall deliver every one,
SHAKIR: Except Lut’s followers: We will most surely deliver them all,
KHALIFA: “As for Lot’s family, we will save them all.
আয়াতঃ 015.060
তবে তার স্ত্রী। আমরা স্থির করেছি যে, সে থেকে যাওয়াদের দলভূক্ত হবে।
”Except his wife, of whom We have decreed that she shall be of those who remain behind (i.e. she will be destroyed).”
إِلاَّ امْرَأَتَهُ قَدَّرْنَا إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ
Illa imraatahu qaddarna innaha lamina alghabireena
YUSUFALI: “Except his wife, who, We have ascertained, will be among those who will lag behind.”
PICKTHAL: Except his wife, of whom We had decreed that she should be of those who stay behind.
SHAKIR: Except his wife; We ordained that she shall surely be of those who remain behind.
KHALIFA: “But not his wife; she is destined to be with the doomed.”
আয়াতঃ 015.061
অতঃপর যখন প্রেরিতরা লূতের গৃহে পৌছল।
Then, when the Messengers (the angels) came unto the family of Lout (Lot).
فَلَمَّا جَاء آلَ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلُونَ
Falamma jaa ala lootin almursaloona
YUSUFALI: At length when the messengers arrived among the adherents of Lut,
PICKTHAL: And when the messengers came unto the family of Lot,
SHAKIR: So when the messengers came to Lut’s followers,
KHALIFA: The messengers went to Lot’s town.
আয়াতঃ 015.062
তিনি বললেনঃ তোমরা তো অপরিচিত লোক।
He said: ”Verily! You are people unknown to me.”
قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ
Qala innakum qawmun munkaroona
YUSUFALI: He said: “Ye appear to be uncommon folk.”
PICKTHAL: He said: Lo! ye are folk unknown (to me).
SHAKIR: He said: Surely you are an unknown people.
KHALIFA: He said, “You are unknown people.”
আয়াতঃ 015.063
তারা বললঃ না বরং আমরা আপনার কাছে ঐ বস্তু নিয়ে এসেছি, যে সম্পর্কে তারা বিবাদ করত।
They said: ”Nay, we have come to you with that (torment) which they have been doubting.
قَالُواْ بَلْ جِئْنَاكَ بِمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ
Qaloo bal ji/naka bima kanoo feehi yamtaroona
YUSUFALI: They said: “Yea, we have come to thee to accomplish that of which they doubt.
PICKTHAL: They said: Nay, but we bring thee that concerning which they keep disputing,
SHAKIR: They said: Nay, we have come to you with that about which they disputed.
KHALIFA: They said, “We bring to you what they have been doubting.
আয়াতঃ 015.064
এবং আমরা আপনার কাছে সত্য বিষয় নিয়ে এসেছি এবং আমরা সত্যবাদী।
”And we have brought to you the truth (the news of the destruction of your nation) and certainly, we tell the truth.
وَأَتَيْنَاكَ بَالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ
Waataynaka bialhaqqi wa-inna lasadiqoona
YUSUFALI: “We have brought to thee that which is inevitably due, and assuredly we tell the truth.
PICKTHAL: And bring thee the Truth, and lo! we are truth-tellers.
SHAKIR: And we have come to you with the truth, and we are most surely truthful.
KHALIFA: “We bring to you the truth; we are truthful.
আয়াতঃ 015.065
অতএব আপনি শেষরাত্রে পরিবারের সকলকে নিয়ে চলে যান এবং আপনি তাদের পশ্চাদনুসরণ করবেন না এবং আপনাদের মধ্যে কেউ যেন পিছন ফিরে না দেখে। আপনারা যেখানে আদেশ প্রাপ্ত হচ্ছেন সেখানে যান।
”Then travel in a part of the night with your family, and you go behind them in the rear, and let no one amongst you look back, but go on to where you are ordered.”
فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِّنَ اللَّيْلِ وَاتَّبِعْ أَدْبَارَهُمْ وَلاَ يَلْتَفِتْ مِنكُمْ أَحَدٌ وَامْضُواْ حَيْثُ تُؤْمَرُونَ (
Faasri bi-ahlika biqitAAin mina allayli waittabiAA adbarahum wala yaltafit minkum ahadun waimdoo haythu tu/maroona
YUSUFALI: “Then travel by night with thy household, when a portion of the night (yet remains), and do thou bring up the rear: let no one amongst you look back, but pass on whither ye are ordered.”
PICKTHAL: So travel with thy household in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs. Let none of you turn round, but go whither ye are commanded.
SHAKIR: Therefore go forth with your followers in a part of the night and yourself follow their rear, and let not any one of you turn round, and go forth whither you are commanded.
KHALIFA: “You shall take your family during the night. Stay behind them, and make sure that none of you looks back. Go straight as commanded.”
আয়াতঃ 015.066
আমি লূতকে এ বিষয় পরিজ্ঞাত করে দেই যে, সকাল হলেই তাদেরকে সমুলে বিনাশ করে দেয়া হবে।
And We made known this decree to him, that the root of those (sinners) was to be cut off in the early morning.
وَقَضَيْنَا إِلَيْهِ ذَلِكَ الأَمْرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَؤُلاء مَقْطُوعٌ مُّصْبِحِينَ
Waqadayna ilayhi thalika al-amra anna dabira haola-i maqtooAAun musbiheena
YUSUFALI: And We made known this decree to him, that the last remnants of those (sinners) should be cut off by the morning.
PICKTHAL: And We made plain the case to him, that the root of them (who did wrong) was to be cut at early morn.
SHAKIR: And We revealed to him this decree, that the roots of these shall be cut off in the morning.
KHALIFA: We delivered to him this command: those people are to be annihilated in the morning.
আয়াতঃ 015.068
লূত বললেনঃ তারা আমার মেহমান। অতএব আমাকে লাঞ্ছিত করো না।
[Lout (Lot)] said: ”Verily! these are my guests, so shame me not.
قَالَ إِنَّ هَؤُلاء ضَيْفِي فَلاَ تَفْضَحُونِ
Qala inna haola-i dayfee fala tafdahooni
YUSUFALI: Lut said: “These are my guests: disgrace me not:
PICKTHAL: He said: Lo! they are my guests. Affront me not!
SHAKIR: He said: Surely these are my guests, therefore do not disgrace me,
KHALIFA: He said, “These are my guests; do not embarrass me.
আয়াতঃ 015.069
তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং আমার ইযযত নষ্ট করো না।
”And fear Allâh and disgrace me not.”
وَاتَّقُوا اللّهَ وَلاَ تُخْزُونِ
Waittaqoo Allaha wala tukhzooni
YUSUFALI: “But fear Allah, and shame me not.”
PICKTHAL: And keep your duty to Allah, and shame me not!
SHAKIR: And guard against (the punishment of) Allah and do not put me to shame.
KHALIFA: “Fear GOD, and do not shame me.”
আয়াতঃ 015.070
তার বললঃ আমরা কি আপনাকে জগৎদ্বাসীর সমর্থন করতে নিষেধ করিনি।
They (people of the city) said: ”Did we not forbid you to entertain (or protect) any of the ’Alamîn (people, foreigners, strangers, etc. from us)?”
قَالُوا أَوَلَمْ نَنْهَكَ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ
Qaloo awa lam nanhaka AAani alAAalameena
YUSUFALI: They said: “Did we not forbid thee (to speak) for all and sundry?”
PICKTHAL: They said; Have we not forbidden you from (entertaining) anyone?
SHAKIR: They said: Have we not forbidden you from (other) people?
KHALIFA: They said, “Did we not enjoin you from contacting anyone?”
আয়াতঃ 015.071
তিনি বললেনঃ যদি তোমরা একান্ত কিছু করতেই চাও, তবে আমার কন্যারা উপস্থিত আছে।
[Lout (Lot)] said: ”These (the girls of the nation) are my daughters (to marry lawfully), if you must act (so).”
قَالَ هَؤُلاء بَنَاتِي إِن كُنتُمْ فَاعِلِينَ
Qala haola-i banatee in kuntum faAAileena
YUSUFALI: He said: “There are my daughters (to marry), if ye must act (so).”
PICKTHAL: He said: Here are my daughters, if ye must be doing (so).
SHAKIR: He said: These are my daughters, if you will do (aught).
KHALIFA: He said, “Here are my daughters, if you must.”
আয়াতঃ 015.072
আপনার প্রাণের কসম, তারা আপন নেশায় প্রমত্ত ছিল।
Verily, by your life (O Muhammad SAW), in their wild intoxication, they were wandering blindly.
لَعَمْرُكَ إِنَّهُمْ لَفِي سَكْرَتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
LaAAamruka innahum lafee sakratihim yaAAmahoona
YUSUFALI: Verily, by thy life (O Prophet), in their wild intoxication, they wander in distraction, to and fro.
PICKTHAL: By thy life (O Muhammad) they moved blindly in the frenzy of approaching death.
SHAKIR: By your life! they were blindly wandering on in their intoxication.
KHALIFA: But, alas, they were totally blinded by their lust.
আয়াতঃ 015.073
অতঃপর সুর্যোদয়ের সময় তাদেরকে প্রচন্ড একটি শব্দ এসে পাকড়াও করল।
So As-Saîhah (torment – awful cry, etc.) overtook them at the time of sunrise;
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُشْرِقِينَ
Faakhathat-humu alssayhatu mushriqeena
YUSUFALI: But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning,
PICKTHAL: Then the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the sunrise.
SHAKIR: So the rumbling overtook them (while) entering upon the time of sunrise;
KHALIFA: Consequently, the disaster struck them in the morning.
আয়াতঃ 015.074
অতঃপর আমি জনপদটিকে উল্টে দিলাম এবং তাদের উপর কঙ্করের প্রস্থর বর্ষণ করলাম।
And We turned (the towns of Sodom in Palestine) upside down and rained down on them stones of baked clay.
فَجَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍ
FajaAAalna AAaliyaha safilaha waamtarna AAalayhim hijaratan min sijjeelin
YUSUFALI: And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay.
PICKTHAL: And We utterly confounded them, and We rained upon them stones of heated clay.
SHAKIR: Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed.
KHALIFA: We turned it upside down, and showered them with devastating rocks.
আয়াতঃ 015.075
নিশ্চয় এতে চিন্তাশীলদের জন্যে নিদর্শনাবলী রয়েছে।
Surely! In this are signs, for those who see (or understand or learn the lessons from the Signs of Allâh).
إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لآيَاتٍ لِّلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَ
Inna fee thalika laayatin lilmutawassimeena
YUSUFALI: Behold! in this are Signs for those who by tokens do understand.
PICKTHAL: Lo! therein verily are portents for those who read the signs.
SHAKIR: Surely in this are signs for those who examine.
KHALIFA: This is a lesson for those who possess intelligence.
আয়াতঃ 015.076
জনপদটি সোজা পথে অবস্থিত রয়েছে।
And verily! They (the cities) were right on the highroad (from Makkah to Syria i.e. the place where the Dead Sea is now).
وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٍ مُّقيمٍ
Wa-innaha labisabeelin muqeemin
YUSUFALI: And the (cities were) right on the high-road.
PICKTHAL: And lo! it is upon a road still uneffaced.
SHAKIR: And surely it is on a road that still abides.
KHALIFA: This will always be the system.
আয়াতঃ 015.077
নিশ্চয় এতে ঈমানদারদের জন্যে নিদর্শণ আছে।
Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers.
إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لآيَةً لِّلْمُؤمِنِينَ
Inna fee thalika laayatan lilmu/mineena
YUSUFALI: Behold! in this is a sign for those who believed.
PICKTHAL: Lo! therein is indeed a portent for believers.
SHAKIR: Most surely there is a sign in this for the believers.
KHALIFA: This is a sign for the believers.
আয়াতঃ 015.078
নিশ্চয় গহীন বনের অধিবাসীরা পাপী ছিল।
And the dwellers in the wood [i.e. the people of Madyan (Midian) to whom Prophet Shu’aib () was sent by Allâh), were also Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.).
وَإِن كَانَ أَصْحَابُ الأَيْكَةِ لَظَالِمِينَ
Wa-in kana as-habu al-aykati lathalimeena
YUSUFALI: And the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers;
PICKTHAL: And the dwellers in the wood indeed were evil-doers.
SHAKIR: And the dwellers of the thicket also were most surely unjust.
KHALIFA: The people of the woods also were transgressors.
আয়াতঃ 015.079
অতঃপর আমি তাদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিয়েছি। উভয় বস্তি প্রকাশ্য রাস্তার উপর অবস্থিত।
So, We took vengeance on them. They are both on an open highway, plain to see.
فَانتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ
Faintaqamna minhum wa-innahuma labi-imamin mubeenin
YUSUFALI: So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see.
PICKTHAL: So we took vengeance on them; and lo! they both are on a high-road plain to see.
SHAKIR: So We inflicted retribution on them, and they are both, indeed, on an open road (still) pursued.
KHALIFA: Consequently, we avenged from them, and both communities are fully documented.
আয়াতঃ 015.080
নিশ্চয় হিজরের বাসিন্দারা পয়গম্বরগণের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছে।
And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers.
وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ أَصْحَابُ الحِجْرِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Walaqad kaththaba as-habu alhijri almursaleena
YUSUFALI: The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers:
PICKTHAL: And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers.
SHAKIR: And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the messengers;
KHALIFA: The people of Al-Hijr disbelieved the messengers.
আয়াতঃ 015.081
আমি তাদেরকে নিজের নিদর্শনাবলী দিয়েছি। অতঃপর তারা এগুলো থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।
And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them.
وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ آيَاتِنَا فَكَانُواْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ
Waataynahum ayatina fakanoo AAanha muAArideena
YUSUFALI: We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them.
PICKTHAL: And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them.
SHAKIR: And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them;
KHALIFA: We gave them our revelations, but they disregarded them.
আয়াতঃ 015.082
তারা পাহাড়ে নিশ্চিন্তে ঘর খোদাই করত।
And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains (feeling themselves) secure.
وَكَانُواْ يَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا آمِنِينَ
Wakanoo yanhitoona mina aljibali buyootan amineena
YUSUFALI: Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure.
PICKTHAL: And they used to hew out dwellings from the hills, (wherein they dwelt) secure.
SHAKIR: And they hewed houses in the mountains in security.
KHALIFA: They used to carve secure homes out of the mountains.
আয়াতঃ 015.083
অতঃপর এক প্রত্যুষে তাদের উপর একটা শব্দ এসে আঘাত করল।
But As-Saîhah (torment – awful cry etc.) overtook them in the early morning (of the fourth day of their promised punishment days).
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُصْبِحِينَ
Faakhathat-humu alssayhatu musbiheena
YUSUFALI: But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning,
PICKTHAL: But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour,
SHAKIR: So the rumbling overtook them in the morning;
KHALIFA: The disaster hit them in the morning.
আয়াতঃ 015.084
তখন কোন উপকারে আসল না যা তারা উপার্জন করেছিল।
And all that which they used to earn availed them not.
فَمَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَ
Fama aghna AAanhum ma kanoo yaksiboona
YUSUFALI: And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)!
PICKTHAL: And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not.
SHAKIR: And what they earned did not avail them.
KHALIFA: What they hoarded did not help them.
আয়াতঃ 015.085
আমি নভোমন্ডল, ভুমন্ডল এবং এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী যা আছে তা তাৎপর্যহীন সৃষ্টি করিনি। কেয়ামত অবশ্যই আসবে। অতএব পরম ঔদাসীন্যের সাথে ওদের ক্রিয়াকর্ম উপক্ষো করুন।
And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihâd holy fighting in Allâh’s Cause].
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لآتِيَةٌ فَاصْفَحِ الصَّفْحَ الْجَمِيلَ
Wama khalaqna alssamawati waal-arda wama baynahuma illa bialhaqqi wa-inna alssaAAata laatiyatun faisfahi alssafha aljameela
YUSUFALI: We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness.
PICKTHAL: We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness.
SHAKIR: And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness.
KHALIFA: We did not create the heavens and the earth, and everything between them, except for a specific purpose. The end of the world will come, so treat them with benign neglect.
আয়াতঃ 015.086
নিশ্চয় আপনার পালনকর্তাই স্রষ্টা, সর্বজ্ঞ।
Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator.
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ الْخَلاَّقُ الْعَلِيمُ
Inna rabbaka huwa alkhallaqu alAAaleemu
YUSUFALI: For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things.
PICKTHAL: Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator.
SHAKIR: Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing.
KHALIFA: Your Lord is the Creator, the Omniscient.
আয়াতঃ 015.087
আমি আপনাকে সাতটি বার বার পঠিতব্য আয়াত এবং মহান কোরআন দিয়েছি।
And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathâni (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Sûrat Al-Fâtiha) and the Grand Qur’ân.
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَاكَ سَبْعًا مِّنَ الْمَثَانِي وَالْقُرْآنَ الْعَظِيمَ
Walaqad ataynaka sabAAan mina almathanee waalqur-ana alAAatheema
YUSUFALI: And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur’an.
PICKTHAL: We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur’an.
SHAKIR: And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran.
KHALIFA: We have given you the seven pairs, and the great Quran.
আয়াতঃ 015.088
আপনি চক্ষু তুলে ঐ বস্তুর প্রতি দেখবেন না, যা আমি তাদের মধ্যে কয়েক প্রকার লোককে ভোগ করার জন্যে দিয়েছি, তাদের জন্যে চিন্তিত হবেন না আর ঈমানদারদের জন্যে স্বীয় বাহু নত করুন।
Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers).
لاَ تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَى مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِّنْهُمْ وَلاَ تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَاخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
La tamuddanna AAaynayka ila ma mattaAAna bihi azwajan minhum wala tahzan AAalayhim waikhfid janahaka lilmu/mineena
YUSUFALI: Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers.
PICKTHAL: Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers.
SHAKIR: Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers.
KHALIFA: Do not be jealous of what we bestowed upon the other (messengers), and do not be saddened (by the disbelievers), and lower your wing for the believers.
আয়াতঃ 015.089
আর বলুনঃ আমি প্রকাশ্য ভয় প্রদর্শক।
And say: ”I am indeed a plain warner.”
وَقُلْ إِنِّي أَنَا النَّذِيرُ الْمُبِينُ
Waqul innee ana alnnatheeru almubeenu
YUSUFALI: And say: “I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,”-
PICKTHAL: And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner,
SHAKIR: And say: Surely I am the plain warner.
KHALIFA: And proclaim: “I am the manifest warner.”
আয়াতঃ 015.090
যেমন আমি নাযিল করেছি যারা বিভিন্ন মতে বিভক্ত তাদের উপর।
As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians).
كَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَى المُقْتَسِمِينَ
Kama anzalna AAala almuqtasimeena
YUSUFALI: (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),-
PICKTHAL: Such as We send down for those who make division,
SHAKIR: Like as We sent down on the dividers
KHALIFA: We will deal with the dividers.
আয়াতঃ 015.091
যারা কোরআনকে খন্ড খন্ড করেছে।
Who have made the Qur’ân into parts. (i.e. believed in a part and disbelieved in the other).
الَّذِينَ جَعَلُوا الْقُرْآنَ عِضِينَ
Allatheena jaAAaloo alqur-ana AAideena
YUSUFALI: (So also on such) as have made Qur’an into shreds (as they please).
PICKTHAL: Those who break the Qur’an into parts.
SHAKIR: Those who made the Quran into shreds.
KHALIFA: They accept the Quran only partially.
আয়াতঃ 015.092
অতএব আপনার পালনকর্তার কসম, আমি অবশ্যই ওদের সবাইকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করব।
So, by your Lord (O Muhammad SAW), We shall certainly call all of them to account.
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسْأَلَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِيْنَ
Fawarabbika lanas-alannahum ajmaAAeena
YUSUFALI: Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account,
PICKTHAL: Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one,
SHAKIR: So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all,
KHALIFA: By your Lord, we will question them all,
আয়াতঃ 015.093
ওদের কাজকর্ম সম্পর্কে।
For all that they used to do.
عَمَّا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
AAamma kanoo yaAAmaloona
YUSUFALI: For all their deeds.
PICKTHAL: Of what they used to do.
SHAKIR: As to what they did.
KHALIFA: about everything they have done.
আয়াতঃ 015.094
অতএব আপনি প্রকাশ্যে শুনিয়ে দিন যা আপনাকে আদেশ করা হয় এবং মুশরিকদের পরওয়া করবেন না।
Therefore proclaim openly (Allâh’s Message Islâmic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikûn (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. – see V.2:105).
فَاصْدَعْ بِمَا تُؤْمَرُ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
FaisdaAA bima tu/maru waaAArid AAani almushrikeena
YUSUFALI: Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah.
PICKTHAL: So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters.
SHAKIR: Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists.
KHALIFA: Therefore, carry out the orders given to you, and disregard the idol worshipers.
আয়াতঃ 015.095
বিদ্রুপকারীদের জন্যে আমি আপনার পক্ষ থেকে যথেষ্ট।
Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers.
إِنَّا كَفَيْنَاكَ الْمُسْتَهْزِئِينَ
Inna kafaynaka almustahzi-eena
YUSUFALI: For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,-
PICKTHAL: Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers,
SHAKIR: Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers
KHALIFA: We will spare you the mockers,
আয়াতঃ 015.096
যারা আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য উপাস্য সাব্যস্ত করে। অতএব অতিসত্তর তারা জেনে নেবে।
Who set up along with Allâh another ilâh (god), they will come to know.
الَّذِينَ يَجْعَلُونَ مَعَ اللّهِ إِلـهًا آخَرَ فَسَوْفَ يَعْمَلُونَ
Allatheena yajAAaloona maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara fasawfa yaAAlamoona
YUSUFALI: Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know.
PICKTHAL: Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know.
SHAKIR: Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know.
KHALIFA: who set up another god beside GOD. They will surely find out.
আয়াতঃ 015.097
আমি জানি যে আপনি তাদের কথাবর্তায় হতোদ্যম হয়ে পড়েন।
Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say.
وَلَقَدْ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ يَضِيقُ صَدْرُكَ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ
Walaqad naAAlamu annaka yadeequ sadruka bima yaqooloona
YUSUFALI: We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say.
PICKTHAL: Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say,
SHAKIR: And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say;
KHALIFA: We know full well that you may be annoyed by their utterances.
আয়াতঃ 015.098
অতএব আপনি পালনকর্তার সৌন্দর্য স্মরণ করুন এবং সেজদাকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে যান।
So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him).
فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ السَّاجِدِينَ
Fasabbih bihamdi rabbika wakun mina alssajideena
YUSUFALI: But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration.
PICKTHAL: But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him).
SHAKIR: Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance.
KHALIFA: You shall sing the praises of your Lord, and be with the prostrators.
আয়াতঃ 015.099
এবং পালনকর্তার এবাদত করুন, যে পর্যন্ত আপনার কাছে নিশ্চিত কথা না আসে।
And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death).
وَاعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَكَ الْيَقِينُ
WaoAAbud rabbaka hatta ya/tiyaka alyaqeenu
YUSUFALI: And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain.
PICKTHAL: And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee.
SHAKIR: And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain.
KHALIFA: And worship your Lord, in order to attain certainty.
