সুতরাং আমাদের চূড়ান্ত বিশ্লেষণে দেখা যাচ্ছে যে, ইংরেজদের এবং মুর্শিদাবাদ দরবারের অমাত্যদের একটা বড় অংশের, উভয়ের স্বার্থেই, সিরাজদ্দৌল্লার সিংহাসনচ্যুতি অপরিহার্য হয়ে উঠেছিল এবং সেজন্যই পলাশি বিপ্লব। ইংরেজরাই পলাশি চক্রান্তের মূল উদ্যোক্তা, ষড়যন্ত্রে তাদেরই মুখ্য ভূমিকা। তারাই নবাবের দরবারের বিক্ষুব্ধ গোষ্ঠীকে তাদের পরিকল্পিত বিপ্লবের ষড়যন্ত্রে টেনে আনে এবং এভাবে সিরাজদ্দৌল্লার পতন ঘটায়। সেই পতনে শেষপর্যন্ত কারা এবং কী পরিমাণ লাভবান হয়েছিল ভারতবর্ষের পরবর্তী দু’শো বছরের ইতিহাস তার সাক্ষী।
