YUSUFALI: When they are cast therein, they will hear the (terrible) drawing in of its breath even as it blazes forth,
PICKTHAL: When they are flung therein they hear its roaring as it boileth up,
SHAKIR: When they shall be cast therein, they shall hear a loud moaning of it as it heaves,
KHALIFA: When they get thrown therein, they hear its furor as it fumes.

৭। যখন তাদের সেখানে নিক্ষেপ করা হবে, তখন তারা উহার [ ভয়ংকর ] নিঃশ্বাস টানার শব্দ শুনতে পাবে ৫৫৬৪ ; আর উহা হবে উদ্বেলিত ; –

৫৫৬৪। ‘Shahiq’ -শব্দটির জন্য দেখুন সূরা [ ১১ : ১০৬ ] আয়াত। সেখানে [ ফোঁপাইয়া কাঁদা ] শব্দটিকে তুলনা করা হয়েছে ‘Zafir’ [ দীর্ঘশ্বাস ] শব্দটির সাথে। এখানে ক্রিয়াপদ ‘fara’ ক্রিয়াপদটি দ্বারা বুঝানো হয়েছে উদ্বেলিত হওয়া বা বিষ্ফোরিত হওয়া, তীব্র বেগে নির্গত হওয়া। সূরা [ ১১ : ৪০ ] আয়াতে ‘fara’ ক্রিয়াপদটি ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে তীব্রবেগে বন্যার পানি বের হওয়া বুঝানোর জন্য। এখানে ঐ একই ক্রিয়াপদ ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে তীব্রবেগে জ্বলন্ত অগ্নিশিখাকে বুঝানোর জন্য যা শাস্তির প্রতীক। জাহান্নামের আগুন হবে সর্বগ্রাসী ক্ষুধা। পাপীদের শেষ পরিণতি ধ্বংস তা পানির দ্বারাই হোক বা আগুনের দ্বারাই হোক।

আয়াতঃ 067.008

ক্রোধে জাহান্নাম যেন ফেটে পড়বে। যখনই তাতে কোন সম্প্রদায় নিক্ষিপ্ত হবে তখন তাদেরকে তার সিপাহীরা জিজ্ঞাসা করবে। তোমাদের কাছে কি কোন সতর্ককারী আগমন করেনি?
It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: ”Did no warner come to you?”

تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ كُلَّمَا أُلْقِيَ فِيهَا فَوْجٌ سَأَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَذِيرٌ
Takadu tamayyazu mina alghaythi kullama olqiya feeha fawjun saalahum khazanatuha alam ya/tikum natheerun

YUSUFALI: Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask, “Did no Warner come to you?”
PICKTHAL: As it would burst with rage. Whenever a (fresh) host is flung therein the wardens thereof ask them: Came there unto you no warner?
SHAKIR: Almost bursting for fury. Whenever a group is cast into it, its keeper shall ask them: Did there not come to you a warner?
KHALIFA: It almost explodes from rage. Whenever a group is thrown therein, its guards would ask them, “Did you not receive a warner?”

৮। যেনো ক্রোধে ফেটে পড়বে। যখনই কোন দলকে উহাতে নিক্ষেপ করা হবে, ইহার রক্ষীরা জিজ্ঞাসা করবে, ” তোমাদের নিকট কি কোন সর্তককারী আসে নাই ? ” ৫৫৬৫

৫৫৬৫। দেখুন সূরা [ ৩৯ : ৭১ ] আয়াত ও টিকা ৪৩৪৮। ‘যখনই ‘ শব্দটি দ্বারা বুঝানো হয়েছে প্রত্যেকবার। হয়তো একই ফেরেশতা সর্বক্ষণ দোযখের দ্বার পাহারাতে নিযুক্ত থাকবেন না। সুতারাং যখনই নূতন লোক দোযখে নিক্ষিপ্ত হবে, সে সময়ে যে ফেরেশতা দ্বারে থাকবেন এই আয়াতের জিজ্ঞাসা হবে সেই ফেরেশতার। ফেরেশতাদের চরিত্রে কোন বক্রতার বা পাপের স্থান নাই, সুতারাং তাদের পক্ষে মানুষের চরিত্রের মন্দ ও পাপকে উপলব্ধি করা সম্ভব নয়। সুতারাং এত লোক শাস্তির জন্য আগমন করছে দেখে তারা আশ্চর্য হয়ে যাবে। সে কারণেই তারা জিজ্ঞাসা করবে যে, তাদের নিকট কি কোনও সতর্ককারী প্রেরিত হয় নাই ? প্রকৃত সত্য হচ্ছে মানুষ তার পৃথিবীর শিক্ষানবীশকালে আল্লাহ্‌ মানুষকে বারে বারে নবী-রসুলদের মাধ্যমে তাঁর নিদর্শন সমূহ প্রেরণ করেছেন। এই নিদর্শন এসেছে প্রত্যাদেশের মাধ্যমে, সৎ মানুষের বিবেকের মাধ্যমে এবং আমাদের চারিদিকের বিশ্ব প্রকৃতির মাধ্যমে।

আয়াতঃ 067.009

তারা বলবেঃ হ্যাঁ আমাদের কাছে সতর্ককারী আগমন করেছিল, অতঃপর আমরা মিথ্যারোপ করেছিলাম এবং বলেছিলামঃ আল্লাহ তা’আলা কোন কিছু নাজিল করেননি। তোমরা মহাবিভ্রান্তিতে পড়ে রয়েছ।
They will say: ”Yes indeed; a warner did come to us, but we belied him and said: ’Allâh never sent down anything (of revelation), you are only in great error.’”

قَالُوا بَلَى قَدْ جَاءنَا نَذِيرٌ فَكَذَّبْنَا وَقُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ مِن شَيْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ كَبِيرٍ
Qaloo bala qad jaana natheerun fakaththabna waqulna ma nazzala Allahu min shay-in in antum illa fee dalalin kabeerin

YUSUFALI: They will say: “Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, ‘Allah never sent down any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!’”
PICKTHAL: They say: Yea, verily, a warner came unto us; but we denied and said: Allah hath naught revealed; ye are in naught but a great error.
SHAKIR: They shall say: Yea! indeed there came to us a warner, but we rejected (him) and said: Allah has not revealed anything, you are only in a great error.
KHALIFA: They would answer, “Yes indeed; a warner did come to us, but we disbelieved and said, `GOD did not reveal anything. You are totally astray.’ ”
