YUSUFALI: Is then one who walks headlong, with his face grovelling, better guided,- or one who walks evenly on a Straight Way?
PICKTHAL: Is he who goeth groping on his face more rightly guided, or he who walketh upright on a straight road?
SHAKIR: What! is he who goes prone upon his face better guided or he who walks upright upon a straight path?
KHALIFA: Is one who walks while slumped over on his face better guided, or one who walks straight on the right path?

২২। সুতারাং যে অবিবেচকের ন্যায় মুখ নীচু করে চলে ৫৫৮০, সেই সঠিক ভাবে পরিচালিত না কি সেই ব্যক্তি যে ঋজু হয়ে সরল পথে চলে ? ৫৫৮১

৫৫৮০। দেখুন [ ২৭ : ৯০ ] আয়াত ও টিকা ৩৩২০। যে ব্যক্তি ন্যায়পরায়ণ ও সাধু সে সর্বদা “ঋজু হয়ে সরল পথে ” চলবে। জীবনের প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপ তাঁর হবে আল্লাহ্‌র অনুগ্রহে সিক্ত। ঋজু হয়ে, অর্থাৎ উন্নত মস্তকে ভয়হীন ও দ্বিধাহীন, নিঃশব্দ চিত্তে জীবনের পথকে সে অতিক্রম করবে। অপরপক্ষে যে ব্যক্তি অন্যায়কারী ও পাপী তার বর্ণনা হচ্ছে সে “মুখ নীচু করে চলে।” এর অর্থ হচ্ছে পাপ ও অন্যায়বোধ তার চিত্তকে ভয় ও শঙ্কাতে পরিপূর্ণ করে তোলে। পাপের পথ হচ্ছে জীবনের জন্য অন্ধকার পথ, সে পথে পাপীর পদচারণা হচ্ছে নিম্নাভূমুখী। এর উপমা হচ্ছে অন্ধকার পথে সে চলে হোচ্‌ট খেতে খেতে – তার হৃদয় সর্বদা পরিপূর্ণ থাকে ভয়, শঙ্কা ও অবিশ্বাসে। এই দুধরণের লোকের ব্যবধান হচ্ছে পৃথিবীর দুই মেরুর মাঝে যে ব্যবধান। যদিও তারা একই পৃথিবীতে বাস করে একই আলো বাতাসে নিঃশ্বাস নেয়। আল্লাহ্‌র একই নিদর্শন প্রত্যক্ষ করে এবং আল্লাহ্‌র নেয়ামত সমভাবে ভোগ করে, তবুও তাদের কৃতকর্মের জন্য তাদের মানসিকতার মধ্যে হয় দুস্তর ব্যবধান।

৫৫৮১। “সরল পথ” দ্বারা সেই পথকে বোঝানো হয়েছে যে পথের সন্ধান হযরত ইব্রাহীম তাঁর পিতাকে দিতে চেয়েছিলেন। দেখুন সূরা [ ১৯ : ৪৩ ] আয়াত।

আয়াতঃ 067.023

বলুন, তিনিই তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং দিয়েছেন কর্ণ, চক্ষু ও অন্তর। তোমরা অল্পই কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর।
Say it is He Who has created you, and endowed you with hearing (ears), seeing (eyes), and hearts. Little thanks you give.

قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِي أَنشَأَكُمْ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ
Qul huwa allathee anshaakum wajaAAala lakumu alssamAAa waal-absara waal-af-idata qaleelan ma tashkuroona

YUSUFALI: Say: “It is He Who has created you (and made you grow), and made for you the faculties of hearing, seeing, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give.
PICKTHAL: Say (unto them, O Muhammad): He it is who gave you being, and hath assigned unto you ears and eyes and hearts. Small thanks give ye!
SHAKIR: Say: He it is Who brought you into being and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts: little is it that you give thanks.
KHALIFA: Say, “He is the One who initiated you, and granted you the hearing, the eyes, and the brains. Rarely are you appreciative.”

২৩। বল, “তিনিই তোমাদের সৃষ্টি করেছেন ৫৫৮২, [ এবং শারীরিক বৃদ্ধি ঘটান ] ৫৫৮৩, এবং তোমাদের জন্য সৃষ্টি করেছেন শ্রবণশক্তি, দৃষ্টিশক্তি, অনুভূতি এবং অনুধাবন ক্ষমতা। তোমরা খুব কমই কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর।

৫৫৮২। ‘বল’ দ্বারা রাসুলের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করা হয়েছে। বিশ্ববাসীকে বলতে বলা হয়েছে যে, আল্লাহ্‌ সকল কিছুর স্রষ্টা সকল সমৃদ্ধি ও উন্নতির কেন্দ্রবিন্দু। তিনি মানুষকে বিভিন্ন মানসিক দক্ষতাতে সমৃদ্ধ করেন। যার সাহায্যে মানুষ উচ্চতর সম্মান ও মানসিক সমৃদ্ধি এবং আধ্যাত্মিক উন্নতি লাভে সক্ষম। এই উচ্চতর মানসিক দক্ষতাসমূহকে প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে ‘শ্রবণশক্তি” অর্থাৎ সাধারণ থেকে অসাধারণ শোনার ক্ষমতা, ‘দৃষ্টিশক্তি’ অর্থাৎ সাধারণ থেকে অসাধারণ কিছু দেখার ক্ষমতা, ‘অনুধাবন’ অর্থাৎ উপলব্ধি করার ক্ষমতা। এই ক্ষমতা বলেই মানুষ পশু থেকে উন্নত এবং মানুষ পৃথিবীর সকল বাধাকে অতিক্রম করে নিজ আধিপত্য ও প্রভাব বিস্তার করতে সক্ষম হয়েছে। এই ক্ষমতা বলেই সে আধ্যাত্মিক জগতে ফেরেশতাদের থেকেও সমুন্নত। সে পৃথিবীর খলিফা।

৫৫৮৩। ‘Anshaa’ শব্দটির জন্য দেখুন সূরা [ ৬ : ৯৮] আয়াতের টিকা ৯২৩।

আয়াতঃ 067.024

বলুন, তিনিই তোমাদেরকে পৃথিবীতে বিস্তৃত করেছেন এবং তাঁরই কাছে তোমরা সমবেত হবে।
Say: ”It is He Who has created you from the earth, and to Him shall you be gathered (in the Hereafter).”

قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
Qul huwa allathee tharaakum fee al-ardi wa-ilayhi tuhsharoona

YUSUFALI: Say: “It is He Who has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered together.”
PICKTHAL: Say: He it is Who multiplieth you in the earth, and unto Whom ye will be gathered.
SHAKIR: Say: He it is Who multiplied you in the earth and to Him you shall be gathered.
KHALIFA: Say, “He is the One who placed you on earth, and before Him you will be summoned.”
