সূরা আহকাফ বাংলা

قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا لِتَأْفِكَنَا عَنْ آلِهَتِنَا فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
Qaloo aji/tana lita/fikana AAan alihatina fa/tina bima taAAiduna in kunta mina alssadiqeena

YUSUFALI: They said: “Hast thou come in order to turn us aside from our gods? Then bring upon us the (calamity) with which thou dost threaten us, if thou art telling the truth?”
PICKTHAL: They said: Hast come to turn us away from our gods? Then bring upon us that wherewith thou threatenest us, if thou art of the truthful.
SHAKIR: They said: Have you come to us to turn us away from our gods; then bring us what you threaten us with, if you are of the truthful ones.
KHALIFA: They said, “Did you come to divert us from our gods? We challenge you to bring (the retribution) you threaten, if you are truthful.”

২২। তারা বলেছিলো,” তুমি কি আমাদেরকে আমাদের দেব-দেবীগুলির পূঁজা থেকে নিবৃত্ত করতে এসেছ ? যদি তুমি সত্যবাদী হও তবে আমাদের যে [ শাস্তির ] ভয় দেখাচ্ছ তা আনায়ন কর ৪৮০০।

৪৮০০। পাপের পথ সত্যের আলো প্রবেশের পথকে অবরুদ্ধ করে দেয়। আদ্‌ জাতিও এর ব্যতিক্রম ছিলো না, আল্লাহ্‌র বিধানকে অস্বীকার করে তারা তাদের সৃষ্ট বিধানে এতটাই নিমগ্ন হয়ে পড়ে যে, তারা আল্লাহ্‌ প্রেরিত রাসুলকে সনাক্ত করতে অক্ষম হয় এবং তার প্রচারিত আল্লাহ্‌র বাণী গ্রহণে অস্বীকার করে। তারা আল্লাহকে প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতায় আহ্বান করে এবং আল্লাহ্‌র শাস্তিকে আহ্বান করে। এই আহ্বানের মাধ্যমে আল্লাহ্‌র প্রতি অবিশ্বাসই প্রকাশ করা হয়।

আয়াতঃ 046.023

সে বলল, এ জ্ঞান তো আল্লাহর কাছেই রয়েছে। আমি যে বিষয়সহ প্রেরিত হয়েছি, তা তোমাদের কাছে পৌঁছাই। কিন্তু আমি দেখছি তোমরা এক মুর্খ সম্প্রদায়।
He said: ”The knowledge (of the time of its coming) is with Allâh only, and I convey to you that wherewith I have been sent, but I see that you are a people given to ignorance!”

قَالَ إِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ عِندَ اللَّهِ وَأُبَلِّغُكُم مَّا أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِ وَلَكِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ قَوْمًا تَجْهَلُونَ
Qala innama alAAilmu AAinda Allahi waoballighukum ma orsiltu bihi walakinnee arakum qawman tajhaloona

YUSUFALI: He said: “The Knowledge (of when it will come) is only with Allah: I proclaim to you the mission on which I have been sent: But I see that ye are a people in ignorance!”..
PICKTHAL: He said: The knowledge is with Allah only. I convey unto you that wherewith I have been sent, but I see you are a folk that know not.
SHAKIR: He said: The knowledge is only with Allah, and I deliver to you the message with which I am sent, but I see you are a people who are ignorant.
KHALIFA: He said, “The knowledge about this is with GOD; I only deliver to you what I was sent to deliver. However, I see that you people are ignorant.”

২৩। সে বলেছিলো : “[ কখন আজাব আসবে ] সে জ্ঞান তো কেবল আল্লাহ্‌রই নিকট আছে ৪৮০১। আমাকে যে দায়িত্ব দিয়ে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে, কেবল তাই-ই আমি তোমাদের নিকট প্রচার করি। কিন্তু আমি দেখছি তোমরা এক মূঢ় সম্প্রদায়। ”

৪৮০১। পাপের শেষ পরিণতি কখনও শুভ হতে পারে না। পাপের শাস্তি অবশ্যই পতিত হবে। সে শাস্তি ঠিক কখন প্রেরিত হবে তা কেউ জানে না। এমন কি আল্লাহ্‌র প্রেরিত রসুলদের নিকটও তা দৃশ্যমান নয়। কারণ শাস্তিদাতা কোনও রসুল নয় ; শাস্তিদাতা স্বয়ং আল্লাহ্‌। পাপে আকণ্ঠ নিমজ্জিত ব্যক্তির নিকট সত্যের আবেদন কোনও প্রতিক্রিয়া জাগাতে অক্ষম – এই চিরন্তন সত্যকে এই আয়াত সমূহের মাধ্যমে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে।

আয়াতঃ 046.024

(অতঃপর) তারা যখন শাস্তিকে মেঘরূপে তাদের উপত্যকা অভিমুখী দেখল, তখন বলল, এ তো মেঘ, আমাদেরকে বৃষ্টি দেবে। বরং এটা সেই বস্তু, যা তোমরা তাড়াতাড়ি চেয়েছিলে। এটা বায়ু এতে রয়েছে মর্মন্তুদ শাস্তি।
Then, when they saw it as a dense cloud coming towards their valleys, they said: ”This is a cloud bringing us rain!” Nay, but it is that (torment) which you were asking to be hastened! a wind wherein is a painful torment!

فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ عَارِضًا مُّسْتَقْبِلَ أَوْدِيَتِهِمْ قَالُوا هَذَا عَارِضٌ مُّمْطِرُنَا بَلْ هُوَ مَا اسْتَعْجَلْتُم بِهِ رِيحٌ فِيهَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
Falamma raawhu AAaridan mustaqbila awdiyatihim qaloo hatha AAaridun mumtiruna bal huwa ma istaAAjaltum bihi reehun feeha AAathabun aleemun

YUSUFALI: Then, when they saw the (Penalty in the shape of) a cloud traversing the sky, coming to meet their valleys, they said, “This cloud will give us rain!” “Nay, it is the (Calamity) ye were asking to be hastened!- A wind wherein is a Grievous Penalty!
PICKTHAL: Then, when they beheld it as a dense cloud coming toward their valleys, they said: Here is a cloud bringing us rain. Nay, but it is that which ye did seek to hasten, a wind wherein is painful torment,
SHAKIR: So when they saw it as a cloud appearing in the sky advancing towards their valleys, they said: This is a cloud which will give us rain. Nay! it is what you sought to hasten on, a blast of wind in which is a painful punishment,
KHALIFA: When they saw the storm heading their way, they said, “This storm will bring to us much needed rain.” Instead, this is what you challenged (Hood) to bring; violent wind wherein there is painful retribution.
