৪৪৮০। “সম্মুখ ও পশ্চাৎ দিক থেকে ” অর্থাৎ সকল দিক থেকে জীবনের চলার পথের প্রতিটি দিক্ থেকে তাদের সর্তক করা হয়েছিলো সেই কথাকেই এভাবে প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে।
৪৪৮১। দেখুন আয়াত [ ১৫ : ৭ ] ও টিকা ১৯৪১ ; আয়াত [ ৬: ৮-৯ ] ও টিকা ৮৪১ – ৪২। রাসুলের [ সা ] সমসাময়িক আরব মোশরেকদের তুলনায় আদ্ জাতি, সম্পদ , ক্ষমতা ও শক্তিতে ছিলো শ্রেষ্ঠ। বলা চলে তুলনাহীন। জাগতিক সম্পদের যত প্রাচুর্য ঘটে, তত মানুষের মাঝে দম্ভ , অহংকার উদ্ধতপনার জন্ম হয়।
আয়াতঃ 041.015
যারা ছিল আদ, তারা পৃথিবীতে অযথা অহংকার করল এবং বলল, আমাদের অপেক্ষা অধিক শক্তিধর কে? তারা কি লক্ষ্য করেনি যে, যে আল্লাহ তাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, তিনি তাদের অপেক্ষা অধিক শক্তিধর ? বস্তুতঃ তারা আমার নিদর্শনাবলী অস্বীকার করত।
As for ’Ad, they were arrogant in the land without right, and they said: ”Who is mightier than us in strength?” See they not that Allâh, Who created them was mightier in strength than them. And they used to deny Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.)!
فَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَقَالُوا مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَكَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ
Faamma AAadun faistakbaroo fee al-ardi bighayri alhaqqi waqaloo man ashaddu minna quwwatan awa lam yaraw anna Allaha allathee khalaqahum huwa ashaddu minhum quwwatan wakanoo bi-ayatina yajhadoona
YUSUFALI: Now the ‘Ad behaved arrogantly through the land, against (all) truth and reason, and said: “Who is superior to us in strength?” What! did they not see that Allah, Who created them, was superior to them in strength? But they continued to reject Our Signs!
PICKTHAL: As for A’ad, they were arrogant in the land without right, and they said: Who is mightier than us in power? Could they not see that Allah Who created them, He was mightier than them in power? And they denied Our revelations.
SHAKIR: Then as to Ad, they were unjustly proud in the land, and they said: Who is mightier in strength than we? Did they not see that Allah Who created them was mightier than they in strength, and they denied Our communications?
KHALIFA: As for `Aad, they turned arrogant on earth, opposed the truth, and said, “Who is more powerful than we?” Did they not realize that GOD, who created them, is more powerful than they? They were unappreciative of our revelations.
১৫। আ’দ সম্প্রদায় পৃথিবীতে ঔদ্ধত্যে [সকল ] সত্য এবং যুক্তির বিরুদ্ধে দম্ভ প্রকাশ করতো ৪৪৮২ , এবং বলতো, ” আমাদের অপেক্ষা শক্তিশালী কে ?” কি ! তারা কি লক্ষ্য করে নাই যে আল্লাহ্, যিনি উহাদের সৃষ্টি করেছেন , তিনি উহাদের অপেক্ষা শক্তিতে শ্রেষ্ঠতর ? কিন্তু তারা ক্রমাগত আমার নির্দেশনাবলী প্রত্যাখান করতে লাগলো।
৪৪৮২। “দম্ভ প্রকাশ করত ” ; দেখুন আয়াত [৭ : ৩৩ ]। পার্থিব দৃষ্টিকোণ থেকে তাদের সম্পদ , ক্ষমতা, শক্তির দম্ভ হয়তো যুক্তিসঙ্গত ছিলো। কিন্তু তাদের সকল ক্ষমতা ও শক্তিকে একত্রীভূত করলেও কি তা আল্লাহ্র শক্তির সাথে তুলনীয় ?
উপদেশ : পার্থিব ধন সম্পদ ও ক্ষমতা এভাবেই মানুষকে উদ্ধত ও একগুয়ে পরিণত করে। দম্ভ , অহংকার তার সর্ব সত্ত্বাকে আচ্ছন্ন করে ফেলে। ফলে তার চরিত্র থেকে বিনয় ও আনুগত্য লোপ পায় এবং সে এক আল্লাহ্র এবাদতে বিমুখ হয়।
আয়াতঃ 041.016
অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে পার্থিব জীবনে লাঞ্ছনার আযাব আস্বাদন করানোর জন্যে তাদের উপর প্রেরণ করলাম ঝঞ্ঝাবায়ু বেশ কতিপয় অশুভ দিনে। আর পরকালের আযাব তো আরও লাঞ্ছনাকর এমতাবস্থায় যে, তারা সাহায্যপ্রাপ্ত হবে না।
So We sent upon them furious wind in days of evil omen (for them) that We might give them a taste of disgracing torment in this present worldly life, but surely the torment of the Hereafter will be more disgracing, and they will never be helped.
فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِي أَيَّامٍ نَّحِسَاتٍ لِّنُذِيقَهُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَخْزَى وَهُمْ لَا يُنصَرُونَ
Faarsalna AAalayhim reehan sarsaran fee ayyamin nahisatin linutheeqahum AAathaba alkhizyi fee alhayati alddunya walaAAathabu al-akhirati akhza wahum la yunsaroona
YUSUFALI: So We sent against them a furious Wind through days of disaster, that We might give them a taste of a Penalty of humiliation in this life; but the Penalty of a Hereafter will be more humiliating still: and they will find no help.
PICKTHAL: Therefor We let loose on them a raging wind in evil days, that We might make them taste the torment of disgrace in the life of the world. And verily the doom of the Hereafter will be more shameful, and they will not be helped.
SHAKIR: So We sent on them a furious wind in unlucky days, that We may make them taste the chastisement of abasement in this world’s life; and certainly the chastisement of the hereafter is much more abasing, and they shall not be helped.
KHALIFA: Consequently, we sent upon them violent wind, for a few miserable days. We thus afflicted them with humiliating retribution in this life, and the retribution of the Hereafter is more humiliating; they can never win.
