সূরা নমল বাংলা

بَلِ ادَّارَكَ عِلْمُهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ بَلْ هُمْ فِي شَكٍّ مِّنْهَا بَلْ هُم مِّنْهَا عَمِونَ
Bali iddaraka AAilmuhum fee al-akhirati bal hum fee shakkin minha bal hum minha AAamoona

YUSUFALI: Still less can their knowledge comprehend the Hereafter: Nay, they are in doubt and uncertainty thereanent; nay, they are blind thereunto!
PICKTHAL: Nay, but doth their knowledge reach to the Hereafter? Nay, for they are in doubt concerning it. Nay, for they cannot see it.
SHAKIR: Nay, their knowledge respecting the hereafter is slight and hasty; nay, they are in doubt about it; nay, they are quite blind to it
KHALIFA: In fact, their knowledge concerning the Hereafter is confused. In fact, they harbor doubts about it. In fact, they are totally heedless thereof.

৬৬। তাদের জ্ঞান [ বুদ্ধি ] পরলোককে খুব কমই হুদয়ংগম করতে পারে। এ বিষয়ে তারা সন্দিহান ও অনিশ্চিত। না তারা এ বিষয়ে অন্ধ ৩৩০৪।

৩৩০৪। যারা অবিশ্বাসী তারা হয় পার্থিব বিষয় বুদ্ধি সম্পন্ন। তারা এই জাগতিক বিষয়ের বাইরে চিন্তা করতে অক্ষম। কারণ মানুষের সসীম জ্ঞান ও বুদ্ধির দ্বারা পরলোকের অদৃশ্যলোকের ধারণা করা সম্ভব নয়। আধ্যাত্মিক জীবনে বিশ্বাসের মাধ্যমে বিশ্বাসীদের সত্তার মাঝে আধ্যাত্মিক অন্তর্দৃষ্টির জন্ম নেয়। অপরপক্ষে অবিশ্বাসীরা এই অন্তর্দৃষ্টি থেকে বঞ্চিত হয়। কারণ তাদের পার্থিব বিষয়বুদ্ধি তাদের সন্দেহ এবং অনিশ্চিয়তার মধ্যে নিপতিত করে। তাদের এই সন্দেহ ও অনিশ্চিয়তার ফলে তাদের আত্মায় আধ্যাত্মিক জগতের আলো প্রবেশে বাঁধা পায়, ফলে তাদের আত্মা আল্লাহ্‌র নূর বঞ্চিত হয়ে অন্ধকারে সমাচ্ছন্ন হয়ে পড়ে। আধ্যাত্মিক অন্ধত্ব তাদের পরলোকের ভবিষ্যত জীবনের ধারণাকে সন্দেহ ও অবিশ্বাসে ভরিয়ে তোলে। এরা চর্ম চক্ষু থাকা সত্বেও অন্তর্দৃষ্টিহীন। অন্তর্দৃষ্টিহীন ব্যক্তি আধ্যাত্মিক দিক থেকে অন্ধ। তারা শুধু দৃশ্যমান পৃথিবীকেই দেখতে পায়।

আয়াতঃ 027.067

কাফেররা বলে, যখন আমরা ও আমাদের বাপ-দাদারা মৃত্তিকা হয়ে যাব, তখনও কি আমাদেরকে পুনরুত্থিত করা হবে?
And those who disbelieve say: ”When we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we really be brought forth (again)?

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَئِذَا كُنَّا تُرَابًا وَآبَاؤُنَا أَئِنَّا لَمُخْرَجُونَ
Waqala allatheena kafaroo a-itha kunna turaban waabaona a-inna lamukhrajoona

YUSUFALI: The Unbelievers say: “What! when we become dust,- we and our fathers,- shall we really be raised (from the dead)?
PICKTHAL: Yet those who disbelieve say: When we have become dust like our fathers, shall we verily be brought forth (again)?
SHAKIR: And those who disbelieve say: What! when we have become dust and our fathers (too), shall we certainly be brought forth?
KHALIFA: Those who disbelieved said, “After we turn into dust, and also our parents, do we get brought out?

রুকু – ৬

৬৭। অবিশ্বাসীরা বলে, ” কি ! আমরা এবং আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষেরা যখন ধূলিতে পরিণত হবে – তখনও কি আমাদের [ মৃত্যু থেকে ] উত্থিত করা হবে ?

৬৮। ” এ কথা সত্য যে , আমাদের ও আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের [ এ ব্যাপারে ] প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয়া হয়েছিলো। এগুলি প্রাচীন কালের কাহিনী ব্যতীত অন্য কিছু নয়। ”

৬৯। বল, ” পৃথিবী পরিভ্রমণ কর এবং দেখ যারা [ পাপের দ্বারা ] অপরাধী, তাদের শেষ পরিণতি কেমন হয়েছে।” ৩৩০৫
৩৩০৫। অবিশ্বাসীরা আল্লাহ্‌র প্রত্যাদেশে অবিশ্বাসী। তারা আল্লাহ্‌র প্রেরিত জীবন বিধান গ্রহণে অস্বীকৃতি জ্ঞাপন করে, কারণ তারা পরলোকের জীবনে বিশ্বাসী নয়। তারা চর্মচক্ষুর সাহায্যে যা দেখতে পায় , তার বাইরে আর কিছুই বিশ্বাস করে না। পৃথিবীতে যা ঘটে তার বাইরে তারা আর কিছুই বিশ্বাস করে না। এই আয়াতে তাদের সম্বোধন করে আল্লাহ্‌ বলছেন যে, ” পৃথিবী ঘুরে দেখ পাপের শেষ পরিণতি সর্বদা ধ্বংস ; অপরপক্ষে সত্য ও ন্যায় শেষ পর্যন্ত সর্বদা জয় লাভ করে থাকে। “

আয়াতঃ 027.068

এই ওয়াদাপ্রাপ্ত হয়েছি আমরা এবং পূর্ব থেকেই আমাদের বাপ-দাদারা। এটা তো পূর্ববর্তীদের উপকথা বৈ কিছু নয়।
”Indeed we were promised this, we and our forefathers before, Verily, these are nothing but tales of ancients.”

لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا هَذَا نَحْنُ وَآبَاؤُنَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
Laqad wuAAidna hatha nahnu waabaona min qablu in hatha illa asateeru al-awwaleena

YUSUFALI: “It is true we were promised this,- we and our fathers before (us): these are nothing but tales of the ancients.”
PICKTHAL: We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old.
SHAKIR: We have certainly been promised this, we and our fathers before; these are naught but stories of the ancients
KHALIFA: “We have been given the same promise in the past. These are nothing but tales from the past.”
