৩২৯০। “অজ্ঞ সম্প্রদায় ” – এই অজ্ঞতা হচ্ছে আধ্যাত্মিক অজ্ঞতা। এই অজ্ঞতা হচ্ছে সেই অজ্ঞতা যার ফলে পাপ ও পূণ্যের মধ্যে, সত্য ও মিথ্যার মধ্যে , ভালো ও মন্দের মধ্যে , ন্যায় ও অন্যায়ের মধ্যে পার্থক্য করার ক্ষমতা লুপ্ত হয়ে যায়। এ সব আত্মা হচ্ছে অন্ধকার আচ্ছাদিত আত্মা। ফলে তারা পাপের যে অশ্লীলতা ও লজ্জ্বা তা অনুধাবনে অক্ষম হয় তাদের নৈতিকতা বিরোধী কাজ তাদের যে ধ্বংসের পথে নিয়ে যাচ্ছে তা অনুধাবনেও তারা অক্ষম। অক্ষমতা তাদেরই ক্ষতির কারণ। তারা জানে যে তাদের অশ্লীল কাজ অন্যায়। তাদের এই জেনে পাপ করার দরুণ তাদের আধ্যাত্মিক অজ্ঞতা আরও ভয়াবহ রূপ ধারণ করে, ফলে তা হয় নিন্দনীয়। ঘটনা বিকৃত করার মানসে বা অন্যকে প্রতারণার করার মানসে যারা সত্যকে বিকৃত করে এবং মিথ্যা বা অর্ধ সত্যের আশ্রয় নেয় তারা জ্ঞান পাপী। যারা অভ্যেসবসে বা অসর্তকতার দরুণ বা অমনোযোগের ফলে মিথ্যা বলে তাদের তুলনায় এ সব জ্ঞান পাপীরা অনেক বেশী নিন্দনীয়। ঠিক সেরূপ লূতের সম্প্রদায়ের লোকেরা তাদের কার্যকে পাপ জেনেও তা করার ফলে তারা আল্লাহ্‌র রোষানলে পতিত হয়।

আয়াতঃ 027.056

উত্তরে তাঁর কওম শুধু এ কথাটিই বললো, লূত পরিবারকে তোমাদের জনপদ থেকে বের করে দাও। এরা তো এমন লোক যারা শুধু পাকপবিত্র সাজতে চায়।
There was no other answer given by his people except that they said: ”Drive out the family of Lout (Lot) from your city. Verily, these are men who want to be clean and pure!”

فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَن قَالُوا أَخْرِجُوا آلَ لُوطٍ مِّن قَرْيَتِكُمْ إِنَّهُمْ أُنَاسٌ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ
Fama kana jawaba qawmihi illa an qaloo akhrijoo ala lootin min qaryatikum innahum onasun yatatahharoona

YUSUFALI: But his people gave no other answer but this: they said, “Drive out the followers of Lut from your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!”
PICKTHAL: But the answer of his folk was naught save that they said: Expel the household of Lot from your township, for they (forsooth) are folk who would keep clean!
SHAKIR: But the answer of his people was no other except that they ~s said: Turn out Lut’s followers from your town; surely they are a people who would keep pure!
KHALIFA: The only response from his people was their saying, “Banish Lot’s family from your town; they are people who wish to be pure.”

৫৬। কিন্তু তাঁর সম্প্রদায় শুধু এই উত্তর দিল, তারা বলেছিলো, ” লূতের অনুসারীগণকে শহর থেকে বের করে দাও। কেননা তারা এমন লোক যারা পূত পবিত্র হতে চায় ৩২৯১। ”

৩২৯১। এই আয়াত থেকে বোঝা যায় যে, অশ্লীল কাজের দরুণ লূতের সম্প্রদায় লজ্জ্বা তো পায়ই নাই , উপরন্তু তারা লূত ও তাঁর অনুসারীরা যারা পবিত্র জীবন যাপন করতেন তাদের ব্যঙ্গ বিদ্রূপে ক্ষত বিক্ষত করেছিলো। তাদের বক্তব্য থেকে মনে হয় যেনো সুপথের আহ্বানের দ্বারা লূত এক মহা অন্যায় কাজ করেছেন।

আয়াতঃ 027.057

অতঃপর তাঁকে ও তাঁর পরিবারবর্গকে উদ্ধার করলাম তাঁর স্ত্রী ছাড়া। কেননা, তার জন্যে ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্তদের ভাগ্যই নির্ধারিত করেছিলাম।
So We saved him and his family, except his wife. We destined her to be of those who remained behind.

فَأَنجَيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَهُ قَدَّرْنَاهَا مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ
Faanjaynahu waahlahu illa imraatahu qaddarnaha mina alghabireena

YUSUFALI: But We saved him and his family, except his wife; her We destined to be of those who lagged behind.
PICKTHAL: Then We saved him and his household save his wife; We destined her to be of those who stayed behind.
SHAKIR: But We delivered him and his followers except his wife; We ordained her to be of those who remained behind.
KHALIFA: Consequently, we saved him and his family, except his wife; we counted her among the doomed.

৫৭। কিন্তু আমি তাঁকে ও তাঁর পরিবারকে রক্ষা করেছিলাম – তাঁর স্ত্রী বাদে। তার ভাগ্য নির্ধারণ করেছিলাম যারা পিছনে পরে ছিলো তাদের সাথে।

আয়াতঃ 027.058

আর তাদের উপর বর্ষণ করেছিলাম মুষলধারে বৃষ্টি। সেই সতর্ককৃতদের উপর কতই না মারাত্নক ছিল সে বৃষ্টি।
And We rained down on them a rain (of stones). So evil was the rain of those who were warned.

وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًا فَسَاء مَطَرُ الْمُنذَرِينَ
Waamtarna AAalayhim mataran fasaa mataru almunthareena

YUSUFALI: And We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)!
PICKTHAL: And We rained a rain upon them. Dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned.
SHAKIR: And We rained on them a rain, and evil was the rain of those who had been warned.
KHALIFA: We showered them with a certain shower. It was a miserable shower upon people who had been warned.
