সূরা নমল বাংলা

আয়াতঃ 027.020

সুলায়মান পক্ষীদের খোঁজ খবর নিলেন, অতঃপর বললেন, কি হল, হুদহুদকে দেখছি না কেন? নাকি সে অনুপস্থিত?
He inspected the birds, and said: ”What is the matter that I see not the hoopoe? Or is he among the absentees?

وَتَفَقَّدَ الطَّيْرَ فَقَالَ مَا لِيَ لَا أَرَى الْهُدْهُدَ أَمْ كَانَ مِنَ الْغَائِبِينَ
Watafaqqada alttayra faqala ma liya la ara alhudhuda am kana mina algha-ibeena

YUSUFALI: And he took a muster of the Birds; and he said: “Why is it I see not the Hoopoe? Or is he among the absentees?
PICKTHAL: And he sought among the birds and said: How is it that I see not the hoopoe, or is he among the absent?
SHAKIR: And he reviewed the birds, then said: How is it I see not the hoopoe or is it that he is of the absentees?
KHALIFA: He inspected the birds, and noted: “Why do I not see the hoopoe? Why is he missing?

২০। এবং সে পাখীদের সমবেত করলো ; এবং বলেছিলো , ” ব্যাপার কি ; আমি হুদহুদকে দেখছি না কেন ? সে কি অনুপস্থিত আছে ? ৩২৬২

৩২৬২। পূর্বেই বলা হয়েছে হযরত সুলাইমান আল্লাহ্‌ প্রদত্ত সকল ক্ষমতা ও অনুগ্রহ, শৃঙ্খলার সাথে বিন্যস্ত ও সমন্বিত করতেন। এ ব্যাপারে তিনি ছিলেন কঠোর পরিশ্রমী। তিনি তাঁর প্রশাসনের সকল সংস্থা , সেনাদল ও শক্তির উৎস সমূহ সর্বদা কঠোর তত্বাবধানে সুশৃঙ্খলভাবে পরিচালনা করতেন। তার বিচরণশীল সেনাদলে ছিলো বিহঙ্গকূল। বিহঙ্গরা সর্বত্র উড়ে বেড়াতো এবং রাজত্বের সকল খবরা-খবর সংগ্রহ করতো। একদিন সুলাইমান হুদ্‌হুদ্‌ কে অনুপস্থিত দেখতে পেলেন সমাবেশে। হুদহুদ পাখীর স্বাভাবিক সৌষ্ঠব হচ্ছে হালকা এবং সৌন্দর্য্য মন্ডিত। এর পালকগুলি বহুবর্ণে রঞ্জিত। মাথায় সুন্দর হলুদ পালকগুচ্ছ মুকুটের ন্যায় শোভা পায় – যার ফলে হুদ্‌হুদ্‌ কে পাখীর রাজার ন্যায় দেখায়।

আয়াতঃ 027.021

আমি অবশ্যই তাকে কঠোর শাস্তি দেব কিংবা হত্যা করব অথবা সে উপস্থিত করবে উপযুক্ত কারণ।
”I will surely punish him with a severe torment, or slaughter him, unless he brings me a clear reason.”

لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا أَوْ لَأَذْبَحَنَّهُ أَوْ لَيَأْتِيَنِّي بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ
LaoAAaththibannahu AAathaban shadeedan aw laathbahannahu aw laya/tiyannee bisultanin mubeenin

YUSUFALI: “I will certainly punish him with a severe penalty, or execute him, unless he bring me a clear reason (for absence).”
PICKTHAL: I verily will punish him with hard punishment or I verily will slay him, or he verily shall bring me a plain excuse.
SHAKIR: I will most certainly punish him with a severe punishment, or kill him, or he shall bring to me a clear plea.
KHALIFA: “I will punish him severely or sacrifice him, unless he gives me a good excuse.”

২১। ” [ অনুপস্থিত থাকার জন্য ] সে উপযুক্ত কারণ না দর্শালে আমি তাকে কঠিন শাস্তি দান করবো , অথবা প্রাণদন্ড দিব।”

২২। কিন্তু অনতিবিলম্বে হুদহুদ এসে পড়লো এবং বললো; ” আমি এমন এক রাজ্য প্রদক্ষিণ করে এসেছি যা আপনি করেন নাই, এবং আমি আপনার নিকট সাবা দেশ থেকে সত্য খবর এনেছি ৩২৬৩।

৩২৬৩। বাইবেলে উল্লেখিত নগরী সেবা ও এখানে উল্লেখিত সাবা একই নগরী। পরবর্তীতে সূরা সাবাতে [ ৩৪ : ১৫ – ২০ ] এই নগরীর নাম অনুযায়ী নামকরণ করা হয়। সাবা ইয়েমেনের একটি নগরী। সা’না থেকে তিন দিনের পদব্রজের পথ [ প্রায় ৫০ মাইল ]। একজন জার্মান প্রত্নতত্ববিদ Dr. Hans Helfritz বর্তমানে দাবী করেন যে তিনি হাদরামাউতে [ Hadhramaut ] সাবার অবস্থান সনাক্ত করতে পেরেছেন। বিখ্যাত Maarib এর বাঁধ দেশটিকে সমৃদ্ধশালী দেশে পরিণত করে, ফলে তারা উন্নত সভ্যতার সৃষ্টি করে। সুতারাং সেবার রাণী এরূপ একটি উন্নত সভ্যতা ও সমৃদ্ধশালী সম্রাজ্যের রাণী হওয়ার দরুণ স্বাভাবিক ভাবেই গর্বিত ছিলেন যতদিন না তিনি সুলাইমানের যশ ও গৌরব দর্শন করেছিলেন।

আয়াতঃ 027.022

কিছুক্ষণ পড়েই হুদ এসে বলল, আপনি যা অবগত নন, আমি তা অবগত হয়েছি। আমি আপনার কাছে সাবা থেকে নিশ্চিত সংবাদ নিয়ে আগমন করেছি।
But the hoopoe stayed not long, he (came up and) said: ”I have grasped (the knowledge of a thing) which you have not grasped and I have come to you from Saba’ (Sheba) with true news.

فَمَكَثَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ فَقَالَ أَحَطتُ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِ وَجِئْتُكَ مِن سَبَإٍ بِنَبَإٍ يَقِينٍ
Famakatha ghayra baAAeedin faqala ahattu bima lam tuhit bihi waji/tuka min saba-in binaba-in yaqeenin

YUSUFALI: But the Hoopoe tarried not far: he (came up and) said: “I have compassed (territory) which thou hast not compassed, and I have come to thee from Saba with tidings true.
PICKTHAL: But he was not long in coming, and he said: I have found out (a thing) that thou apprehendest not, and I come unto thee from Sheba with sure tidings.
SHAKIR: And he tarried not long, then said: I comprehend that which you do not comprehend and I have brought to you a sure information from Sheba.
KHALIFA: He did not wait for long. (The hoopoe) said, “I have news that you do not have. I brought to you from Sheba, some important information.
