১৭০। সুতারাং আমি রক্ষা করলাম, তাঁকে ও তাঁর পরিবারের সকলকে

১৭১। একজন বৃদ্ধা মহিলা ব্যতীত। সে ছিলো পশ্চাতে অবস্থানকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ৩২১২।

৩২১২। এই বৃদ্ধা মহিলা ছিলেন হযরত লূতের স্ত্রী। সে পশ্চাতে অবস্থানকারীদের একজন ছিলো, ফলে সে ধ্বংস প্রাপ্ত হয়।

উপদেশ : প্রত্যেকেই প্রত্যেকের নিজ কর্মফল ভোগ করবে। পূণ্যাত্মা ব্যক্তির সংস্পর্শে থেকেও কেউ নিজ কর্মফল থেকে অব্যহতি পেতে পারে না। যেমন লূতের পত্নীর বেলায় ঘটেছিলো – তার কর্মফল তাকে তার পাপ মোচনে সাহায্য করে নাই বা তার কর্মফলের শাস্তি থেকে অব্যহতি দান করতে পারে নাই। এই – ই হচ্ছে বিশ্ববিধাতার অমোঘ নিয়ম।

আয়াতঃ 026.172

এরপর অন্যদেরকে নিপাত করলাম।
But the rest We destroyed utterly.

ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْآخَرِينَ
Thumma dammarna al-akhareena

YUSUFALI: But the rest We destroyed utterly.
PICKTHAL: Then afterward We destroyed the others.
SHAKIR: Then We utterly destroyed the others.
KHALIFA: We then destroyed the others.

১৭২। তৎপর অন্য সকলকে আমি সমূলে ধ্বংস করলাম।

১৭৩। আমি তাদের উপরে [ গন্ধকের ] ধারা বর্ষণ করলাম ৩২১৩, যারা সাবধান করা সত্বেও [ সাবধান হয় নাই ]; তাদের জন্য তা ছিলো অতি মন্দ।

৩২১৩। দেখুন আয়াত [ ৭ : ৮৪ ] এবং টিকা ১০৫২।

আয়াতঃ

তাদের উপর এক বিশেষ বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করলাম। ভীতি-প্রদর্শিত দের জন্যে এই বৃষ্টি ছিল কত নিকৃষ্ট।
We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)!

وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًا فَسَاء مَطَرُ الْمُنذَرِينَ
Waamtarna AAalayhim mataran fasaa mataru almunthareena

YUSUFALI: We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)!
PICKTHAL: And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned.
SHAKIR: And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned.
KHALIFA: We showered them with a miserable shower; what a terrible shower for those who had been warned!

১৭২। তৎপর অন্য সকলকে আমি সমূলে ধ্বংস করলাম।

১৭৩। আমি তাদের উপরে [ গন্ধকের ] ধারা বর্ষণ করলাম ৩২১৩, যারা সাবধান করা সত্বেও [ সাবধান হয় নাই ]; তাদের জন্য তা ছিলো অতি মন্দ।

৩২১৩। দেখুন আয়াত [ ৭ : ৮৪ ] এবং টিকা ১০৫২।

আয়াতঃ 026.174

নিশ্চয়ই এতে নিদর্শন রয়েছে; কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই বিশ্বাসী নয়।
Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe.

إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mu/mineena

YUSUFALI: Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe.
PICKTHAL: Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers.
SHAKIR: Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe.
KHALIFA: This should be a lesson, but most people are not believers.

১৭৪। নিশ্চয়ই এর মাঝে রয়েছে নিদর্শন ; কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই তা বিশ্বাস করে না।

আয়াতঃ 026.175

নিশ্চয়ই আপনার পালনকর্তা প্রবল পরাক্রমশালী, পরম দয়ালু।
And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful.

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
Wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu

YUSUFALI: And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful.
PICKTHAL: And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful.
SHAKIR: And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful.
KHALIFA: Most assuredly, your Lord is the Almighty, Most Merciful.

১৭৫। এবং নিশ্চয়ই তোমার প্রভু ক্ষমতায় পরাক্রমশালী , পরম করুণাময়।

আয়াতঃ 026.176

বনের অধিবাসীরা পয়গম্বরগণকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলেছে।
The Companions of the Wood rejected the apostles.

كَذَّبَ أَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Kaththaba as-habu al-aykati almursaleena

YUSUFALI: The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers.
PICKTHAL: The dwellers in the wood (of Midian) denied the messengers (of Allah),
SHAKIR: The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the messengers.
KHALIFA: The People of the Woods disbelieved the messengers.

রুকু – ১০

১৭৬। গহন অরণ্যের অধিবাসীরা রাসুলগণকে প্রত্যাখান করেছিলো ৩২১৪।

৩২১৪। দেখুন আয়াত [ ১৫ : ৭৮ ] এবং টিকা ২০০০।

আয়াতঃ 026.177

যখন শো’আয়ব তাদের কে বললেন, তোমরা কি ভয় কর না?
Behold, Shu’aib said to them: “Will ye not fear ((Allah))?

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
Ith qala lahum shuAAaybun ala tattaqoona
