YUSUFALI: “That we may follow the sorcerers (in religion) if they win?”
PICKTHAL: (They said): Aye, so that we may follow the wizards if they are the winners.
SHAKIR: Haply we may follow the magicians, if they are the vanquishers.
KHALIFA: “Maybe we will follow the magicians, if they are the winners.”
৩৯। এবং জনসাধারণকে বলা হলো, ” এখন কি তোমরা সমবেত হয়েছ ? –

৪০। ” যেনো আমরা যাদুকরদের অনুসরণ করতে পারি , যদি তারা বিজয়ী হয় ? ” ৩১৬০

৩১৬০। দেখুন উপরের টিকাটি। দলে দলে লোক সমবেত হতে থাকলো রাষ্ট্রধর্মের বিজয় দেখার জন্য। ফেরাউন ও তার পরিষদবর্গ মোটামুটি নিশ্চিত ছিলো যে , তাদের রাষ্ট্রধর্ম হিসেবে স্বীকৃত যাদুবিদ্যা দ্বারা যাদুকরেরা মুসাকে পরাজিত করতে সক্ষম হবে এবং সাধারণ মানুষ আরও অধিকভাবে ফেরাউনের দেবত্বের প্রতি নিবেদিত প্রাণ হয়ে উঠবে। প্রজাদের শর্তহীন বশ্যতা আদায় করার এ এক অভিনব পন্থা এবং পুরোহিতদের অযৌক্তিক দাবী, বাধাহীনভাবে ও অনুগতভাবে আদায়ের জন্য ধর্মের নামে এ এক কূটকৌশল। সে সময়ে রাষ্ট্র-ধর্ম হিসেবে যাদুবিদ্যা এবং ফেরাউনকে ঈশ্বর হিসেবে পূঁজা প্রথা প্রচলন ছিলো।

আয়াতঃ 026.041

যখন যাদুকররা আগমণ করল, তখন ফেরআউনকে বলল, যদি আমরা বিজয়ী হই, তবে আমরা পুরস্কার পাব তো?
So when the sorcerers arrived, they said to Pharaoh: “Of course – shall we have a (suitable) reward if we win?

فَلَمَّا جَاء السَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغَالِبِينَ
Falamma jaa alssaharatu qaloo lifirAAawna a-inna lana laajran in kunna nahnu alghalibeena

YUSUFALI: So when the sorcerers arrived, they said to Pharaoh: “Of course – shall we have a (suitable) reward if we win?
PICKTHAL: And when the wizards came they said unto Pharaoh: Will there surely be a reward for us if we are the winners?
SHAKIR: And when the magicians came, they said to Firon: Shall we get a reward if we are the vanquishers?
KHALIFA: When the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh, “Do we get paid, if we are the winners?”

৪১। সুতারাং যখন যাদুকরেরা উপস্থিত হলো , তারা ফেরাউনকে বলেছিলো, ” যদি আমরা বিজয়ী হই , আমাদের জন্য কি [ উপযুক্ত ] পুরষ্কার থাকবে ? ” ৩১৬১।

৩১৬১। যারা মানুষকে প্রতারণা করে তারা কখনও প্রতারণার দ্বারা নিঃশর্ত আনুগত্য লাভ করতে পারে না। নিঃশর্ত আনুগত্য লাভ করা যায় শুধুমাত্র শর্তহীন ভালোবাসার মাধ্যমে। ফেরাউনের মত প্রতারক কখনও প্রজাদের নিকট থেকে সে শর্তহীন আনুগত্য আশা করতে পারে না। এখানে যাদুকরেরা ছিলো সম্ভবতঃ পুরোহিত সম্প্রদায়, যারা অর্থের লোভে ফেরাউনের প্রভাব প্রতিপত্তি বিস্তারে সহায়তা দান করতো। এই বিশাল সমাবেশে বিজিত হয়ে তারা তাদের মান-সম্মান, প্রভাব-প্রতিপত্তি ও ধন-সম্পদ বৃদ্ধির আশা পোষণ করেছিলো।

আয়াতঃ 026.042

ফেরাউন বলল, হঁ্যা এবং তখন তোমরা আমার নৈকট্যশীলদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবে।
He said: “Yea, (and more),- for ye shall in that case be (raised to posts) nearest (to my person).”

قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَّمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
Qala naAAam wa-innakum ithan lamina almuqarrabeena

YUSUFALI: He said: “Yea, (and more),- for ye shall in that case be (raised to posts) nearest (to my person).”
PICKTHAL: He said: Aye, and ye will then surely be of those brought near (to me).
SHAKIR: He said: Yes, and surely you will then be of those who are made near.
KHALIFA: He said, “Yes indeed; you will even be close to me.”

৪২। সে বলেছিলো , ” হ্যাঁ অবশ্যই , [ অধিকন্তু ] সেক্ষেত্রে তোমাদের [ পদমর্যদা উন্নীত করা হবে ] আমার ঘনিষ্ঠদের শামিল করে। ”

৪৩। মুসা বলেছিলো , ” তোমাদের যা নিক্ষেপ করার তা নিক্ষেপ কর।” ৩১৬২

৩১৬২। হযরত মুসার আহ্বান আপাতঃশ্রুতিমধুর হলেও আহ্বানটি ছিলো বিদ্রূপাত্মক । মুসা যেনো বলতে চেয়েছেন ; ” আমি তোমাদের প্রতারণার কলাকৌশল সম্বন্ধে সম্যক ওয়াকেবহাল। তোমরা ভান করছো যেনো তোমরা দড়ি ও লাঠি ছুড়বে ও জনসাধারণ দেখবে যে তা সাপে রূপান্তরিত হয়ে গেছে। এখন দেখা যাবে তোমাদের কেরামতি।”

আয়াতঃ 026.043

মূসা (আঃ) তাদেরকে বললেন, নিক্ষেপ কর তোমরা যা নিক্ষেপ করবে।
Moses said to them: “Throw ye – that which ye are about to throw!”

قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَى أَلْقُوا مَا أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ
Qala lahum moosa alqoo ma antum mulqoona

YUSUFALI: Moses said to them: “Throw ye – that which ye are about to throw!”
PICKTHAL: Moses said unto them: Throw what ye are going to throw!
SHAKIR: Musa said to them: Cast what you are going to cast.
KHALIFA: Moses said to them “Throw what you are going to throw.”
