৫৮। নবীদের মধ্য এরাই তারা যাদের উপর আল্লাহ্ অনুগ্রহ বর্ষণ করেছেন – আদমের বংশধরদের মধ্য ,এবং যাদের আমি নূহের সাথে [ নৌকায় ] আরোহন করিয়েছিলাম তাদের মধ্য , এবং ইব্রাহীম ও ইস্মাঈলের বংশধরদের ২৫০৯ মধ্য যাদের আমি পথ নির্দ্দেশ দিয়েছিলাম ও মনোনীত করেছিলাম। যখন তাদের নিকট করুণাময়ের আয়াত আবৃত্তি করা হয়, তারা চোখের পানিতে আপ্লুত হয়ে সেজ্দায় লুটিয়ে পড়ে ২৫১০।
২৫০৯। এই আয়াতে পূর্ববর্তী নবীদের ধর্মীয় দৃষ্টিকোণ থেকে বিভক্ত করা হয়েছে : ১ ) আদম থেকে নূহ্ ; ২ ) নূহ্ থেকে ইব্রাহীম; এবং ৩) ইব্রাহীম থেকে পরবর্তী সীমাহীন সময় পর্যন্ত অন্তর্ভূক্ত হচ্ছে ” যাদের আমি [আল্লাহ্ ] পথ নির্দ্দেশ দিয়েছিলাম ও মনোনীত করেছিলাম।” হয়তো এই সময় সীমা ছিলো আল্লাহ্র বাণী যতদিন বিকৃত হয়ে না যায় ও রসুলদের আগমন অত্যাবশ্যক হয়ে দাঁড়ায়। হযরত ইয়াকুবের অন্য নাম ছিলো ইসরাঈল।
২৫১০। ” তাহারা ” অর্থাৎ তারাই যারা আল্লাহ্র বাণীকে সমুন্নত রাখে, আল্লাহ্র পথ নির্দ্দেশের অনুসারী তাহারা শুধুমাত্র আল্লাহ্র নবী ও রাসুল নয়।

অতঃপর তাদের পরে এল অপদার্থ পরবর্তীরা। তারা নামায নষ্ট করল এবং কুপ্রবৃত্তির অনুবর্তী হল। সুতরাং তারা অচিরেই পথভ্রষ্টতা প্রত্যক্ষ করবে।
Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As-Salât (the prayers) [i.e. made their Salât (prayers) to be lost, either by not offering them or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times, etc.] and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell.
فَخَلَفَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوَاتِ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا
Fakhalafa min baAAdihim khalfun adaAAoo alssalata waittabaAAoo alshshahawati fasawfa yalqawna ghayyan
YUSUFALI: But after them there followed a posterity who missed prayers and followed after lusts soon, then, will they face Destruction,-
PICKTHAL: Now there hath succeeded them a later generation whom have ruined worship and have followed lusts. But they will meet deception.
SHAKIR: But there came after them an evil generation, who neglected prayers and followed and sensual desires, so they win meet perdition,
KHALIFA: After them, He substituted generations who lost the Contact Prayers (Salat), and pursued their lusts. They will suffer the consequences.
৫৯। কিন্তু তাদের পরের বংশধরেরা সালাত বাদ দিত, এবং কাম-প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করতো। শীঘ্রই তারা [তাদের ] ধ্বংস প্রত্যক্ষ করবে; ২৫১১
২৫১১। পৃথিবীতে উত্থান ও পতন সময়ের ধর্ম। কখনও কখনও অন্যায়, অসত্য ,অধর্ম , পৃথিবীকে সাময়িকভাবে গ্রাস করে। কিন্তু তখনও একদল লোক থাকে যারা অন্যায়, অসত্য, অধর্মের কাছে আত্মসমর্পন করে না। যদিও তাঁরা সংখ্যায় হয় স্বল্প। তাঁরা নিজেদের ভুল বুঝতে পারে; অনুতাপ করে, ঈমান আনে ও সৎকর্ম করে। এদের আল্লাহ্ পরলোকে শাস্তি দান করবেন না, কারণ পৃথিবীতে তাঁরা সৎজীবন যাপন করেছেন, তারা অসৎ জীবনের প্রভাবে আল্লাহ্র মনোনীত জীবন ব্যবস্থা ভুলে যায় নাই। পরের আয়াতে আল্লাহ্ এদের ঈমান ও সৎকর্মের পূর্ণ পুরষ্কারের প্রতিশ্রুতি দান করেছেন।
আয়াতঃ 019.060
কিন্তু তারা ব্যতীত, যারা তওবা করেছে, বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছে। সুতরাং তারা জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করবে এবং তাদের উপর কোন জুলুম করা হবে না।
Except those who repent and believe (in the Oneness of Allâh and His Messenger Muhammad SAW), and work righteousness. Such will enter Paradise and they will not be wronged in aught.
إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَأُوْلَئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا
Illa man taba waamana waAAamila salihan faola-ika yadkhuloona aljannata wala yuthlamoona shay-an
YUSUFALI: Except those who repent and believe, and work righteousness: for these will enter the Garden and will not be wronged in the least,-
PICKTHAL: Save him who shall repent and believe and do right. Such will enter the Garden, and they will not be wronged in aught –
SHAKIR: Except such as repent and believe and do good, these shall enter the garden, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly in any way:
KHALIFA: Only those who repent, believe, and lead a righteous life will enter Paradise, without the least injustice.
৬০। [অবশ্য ] যারা অনুতাপ করে , ঈমান আনে, সৎকাজ করে তারা ব্যতীত। তারা তো জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করবে। তাদের প্রতি এতটুকু যুলুম করা হবে না।
৬১। অনন্ত [ সুখের ] বাগান, যে অদৃশ্য বিষয়ের প্রতিশ্রুতি পরম করুণাময় [আল্লাহ্ ] তাঁর বান্দাদের দিয়েছেন। তাঁর প্রতিশ্রুতি অবশ্যই সফল হবে।
