সূরা বাকারা বাংলা

আয়াতঃ 002.078

তোমাদের কিছু লোক নিরক্ষর। তারা মিথ্যা আকাঙ্খা ছাড়া আল্লাহর গ্রন্থের কিছুই জানে না। তাদের কাছে কল্পনা ছাড়া কিছুই নেই।
And there are among them (Jews) unlettered people, who know not the Book, but they trust upon false desires and they but guess.

وَمِنْهُمْ أُمِّيُّونَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ الْكِتَابَ إِلاَّ أَمَانِيَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلاَّ يَظُنُّونَ
Waminhum ommiyyoona la yaAAlamoona alkitaba illa amaniyya wa-in hum illa yathunnoona

YUSUFALI: And there are among them illiterates, who know not the Book, but (see therein their own) desires, and they do nothing but conjecture.
PICKTHAL: Among them are unlettered folk who know the Scripture not except from hearsay. They but guess.
SHAKIR: And there are among them illiterates who know not the Book but only lies, and they do but conjecture.
KHALIFA: Among them are gentiles who do not know the scripture, except through hearsay, then assume that they know it.

৭৭। তারা কি জানে না যে, তারা যা গোপন করে এবং তারা যা প্রকাশ করে আল্লাহ্‌ তা জানেন?

৭৮। তাদের মধ্যে কিছু নিরক্ষর লোক আছে, যারা [নিজেদের] আশা-আকাঙ্ক্ষা ব্যতীত কিতাব সম্বন্ধে কোন জ্ঞান নাই। তারা অনুমান ব্যতীত আর কিছু করে না। ৮৪

৮৪। এই আয়াতটি [২:৭৬] এর বর্ধিত অংশ হিসেবে ধরা হয়েছে। ইহুদীরা তাদের ধর্মগ্রন্থে বর্ণিত জ্ঞানকে (অর্থাৎ হযরত মুহম্মদের (দঃ) আর্বিভাবের খবর) গোপন করতে চেয়েছিল। কিন্তু ইহুদীদের মধ্যে যারা ধর্মগ্রন্থ পড়তে পারতো তারাও নিরপেক্ষ ছিল না। অশিক্ষিতদের সাথে তাদের খুব পার্থক্য ছিল না। কারণ তারা তাদের ধর্মগ্রন্থের আসল উপদেশ খুব ভালভাবেই জানতো, কিন্তু তারা তা বিকৃত করে নিজেদের মনগড়া তথ্য যা শুধুমাত্র অনুমানভিত্তিক তা পরিবেশন করতো। তারা মানুষকে প্রতারণা করার জন্য নিজস্ব লেখাকে আল্লাহ্‌র বাণী বলে প্রচার করতো। এই জঘন্য প্রতারণা তাদের সাময়িক সুবিধা দান করতে সক্ষম হয়েছিলো। কিন্তু এই সুবিধা বা লাভ কখনও সত্যিকারের হতে পারে না। যদি এই সুবিধার পরিবর্তে সমস্ত পৃথিবীও করতলগত হয় তবুও তা জোচ্চুরি, আর তা হচ্ছে আত্মাকে বিক্রি করার সামিল। তারা ক্রয় করলো ‘Gained the whole world and lost their own souls.’ কারণ নিজের হাতে বাণী লিখে আল্লাহ্‌র বাণী বলে প্রচারিত করা জঘন্য পাপ। কারণ এর মধ্যে কোনও সত্য নাই।
[সর্বজনীন উপদেশ হচ্ছে, ধর্মহীনতা সব সময়েই নিজস্ব মনগড়া কাল্পনিক স্রষ্টা গড়তে ভালবাসে। ধর্মহীন ব্যক্তির নিজস্ব সুযোগ, সুবিধা, কল্পনা যা তাকে আত্মতৃপ্ত করে তার নিজস্ব কল্পনার জগৎকে। তার নিজস্ব ধর্মকে সে নিজে সৃষ্টি করে, কিন্তু প্রতারিত করে বিশ্বস্রষ্টার নামে। দেখা যায় তারা তাদের কামনা বাসনা চরিতার্থ করার জন্য অন্যায় অবিচার, অপরাধের আশ্রয় নেয়। এ সবই করে শুধুমাত্র জনসাধারণকে প্রভাবিত করার জন্য তাদের স্বপক্ষে, এর সাথে স্রষ্টার তুষ্টির কোন সম্পর্ক নাই। ধর্মের নামে এই অনাচার যুগে যুগে দেশে দেশে সংগঠিত হয়েছে এবং এখনও হচ্ছে। এর থেকে আমরা মুসলমানেরাও বাদ যাচ্ছি না। এর ফল অত্যন্ত বিষদায়ক। তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে কখনও এর কিছু সুফল পাওয়া যেতে পারে তা খুব স্বল্প সময়ের জন্য। এ যেনো সেই সাবানের বুদবুদ যা স্বল্পকালের জন্য রামধনুর বর্ণালী বিচ্ছুরিত করে আকাশে ওড়ে কিন্তু শেষ পর্যন্ত ফেটে যায়। সেইরূপ ধর্মের নামে জোচ্চুরী সব সময়েই ধ্বংস ডেকে আনবে।

অতএব তাদের জন্যে আফসোস! যারা নিজ হাতে গ্রন্থ লেখে এবং বলে, এটা আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে অবতীর্ণ-যাতে এর বিনিময়ে সামান্য অর্থ গ্রহণ করতে পারে। অতএব তাদের প্রতি আক্ষেপ, তাদের হাতের লেখার জন্য এবং তাদের প্রতি আক্ষেপ, তাদের উপার্জনের জন্যে।
Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say, ”This is from Allâh,” to purchase with it a little price! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for that they earn thereby.

فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يَكْتُبُونَ الْكِتَابَ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ هَـذَا مِنْ عِندِ اللّهِ لِيَشْتَرُواْ بِهِ ثَمَناً قَلِيلاً فَوَيْلٌ لَّهُم مِّمَّا كَتَبَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَوَيْلٌ لَّهُمْ مِّمَّا يَكْسِبُونَ
Fawaylun lillatheena yaktuboona alkitaba bi-aydeehim thumma yaqooloona hatha min AAindi Allahi liyashtaroo bihi thamanan qaleelan fawaylun lahum mimma katabat aydeehim wawaylun lahum mimma yaksiboona

YUSUFALI: Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:”This is from Allah,” to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby.
PICKTHAL: Therefore woe be unto those who write the Scripture with their hands and then say, “This is from Allah,” that they may purchase a small gain therewith. Woe unto them for that their hands have written, and woe unto them for that they earn thereby.
SHAKIR: Woe, then, to those who write the book with their hands and then say: This is from Allah, so that they may take for it a small price; therefore woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn.
KHALIFA: Therefore, woe to those who distort the scripture with their own hands, then say, “This is what GOD has revealed,” seeking a cheap material gain. Woe to them for such distortion, and woe to them for their illicit gains.
