সূরা বাকারা বাংলা

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَيَشْتَرُونَ بِهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلاً أُولَـئِكَ مَا يَأْكُلُونَ فِي بُطُونِهِمْ إِلاَّ النَّارَ وَلاَ يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلاَ يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
Inna allatheena yaktumoona ma anzala Allahu mina alkitabi wayashtaroona bihi thamanan qaleelan ola-ika ma ya/kuloona fee butoonihim illa alnnara wala yukallimuhumu Allahu yawma alqiyamati wala yuzakkeehim walahum AAathabun aleemun

YUSUFALI: Those who conceal Allah’s revelations in the Book, and purchase for them a miserable profit,- they swallow into themselves naught but Fire; Allah will not address them on the Day of Resurrection. Nor purify them: Grievous will be their penalty.
PICKTHAL: Lo! those who hide aught of the Scripture which Allah hath revealed and purchase a small gain therewith, they eat into their bellies nothing else than fire. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He make them grow. Theirs will be a painful doom.
SHAKIR: Surely those who conceal any part of the Book that Allah has revealed and take for it a small price, they eat nothing but fire into their bellies, and Allah will not speak to them on the day of resurrection, nor will He purify them, and they shall have a painful chastisement.
KHALIFA: Those who conceal GOD’s revelations in the scripture, in exchange for a cheap material gain, eat but fire into their bellies. GOD will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. They have incurred a painful retribution.

১৭৪। যারা আল্লাহ্‌র কিতাবের প্রত্যাদেশকে গোপন করে, এবং তার পরিবর্তে তারা তাদের জন্য দুঃখজনক বিনিময় ক্রয় করে, তারা নিজেদের জন্য আগুন ব্যতীত অন্য কিছু গলধঃকরণ করে না ১৭৫। পুনরুত্থানের দিনে আল্লাহ্‌ তাদের সাথে কথা বলবেন না, তাদের পবিত্রও করবেন না। ভয়াবহ হবে তাদের শাস্তি।

১৭৫। ‘They eat nothing but fire into their bellies’ আক্ষরিক অনুবাদ শুনতে কিছুটা কঠোর এবং রসশূন্য মনে হয়। কিন্তু মূল আরবী শব্দের ভাব ঠিক তা নয়। ইসলাম সব সময়েই মধ্যপথ অবলম্বী, এমন কি খাদ্য ও পানীয়ের ব্যাপারেও ইসলাম মধ্যপথ অবলম্বী। ইসলাম, ধর্মের ব্যাপারে লাগাম ছাড়া স্বাধীনতার বিপক্ষে আবার অতিরিক্ত নিয়ম কানুন এবং আনুষ্ঠানিকতার বিপক্ষে। এ ব্যাপারে ইসলাম খুব সাধারণ এবং যুক্তিযুক্ত কয়েকটি নিয়ম নীতির কথা বলে। এসব নিয়ম-নীতি ভঙ্গ শুধু যে শারীরিক ও মানসিক ক্ষতির সম্ভাবনা তাই নয় আত্মার বিকাশের প্রভূত ক্ষতির সম্ভাবনা।

কেউ যদি আল্লাহ্‌র নিয়ম-নীতির বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ ঘোষণা করে বা উদ্দেশ্য মূলকভাবে ব্যক্তিগত লাভের জন্য ধর্মের নামে জাল-জুয়াচুরি করে, তার পরিণতি ভয়াবহ, নৈতিক ও আত্মিক অধঃপতন অনিবার্য। কারণ এ হচ্ছে পাপ, বিশ্বাস এবং নৈতিকতার বিরুদ্ধে। এই নৈতিক অধঃপতনকে উপমার সাহায্যে উত্থাপন করতে যেয়ে বলা হয়েছে, এ যেনো আগুন ভক্ষণ করার সামিল। আমাদের এই নশ্বর দেহে আগুন ভক্ষণ করা যে কী দুঃসহ যন্ত্রণা তা অনুধাবন করার জন্যই এই উপমার অবতারণা। আসলে হাশরের ময়দানে আত্মার যে যন্ত্রণা তা হবে নশ্বর দেহে আগুন ভক্ষণ করার যন্ত্রনার থেকেও বেশী। দৈহিক যন্ত্রণা সে যন্ত্রণার কাছে ম্লান হয়ে যাবে। সে যন্ত্রণা আরও বেড়ে যাবে কারণ বিচারক সর্বশক্তিমান আল্লাহ্‌, তার সমস্ত রহমত ও করুণা থেকে তাদের বঞ্চিত করবেন। এমনকি সামান্য প্রশ্নও তাদের জিজ্ঞাসা করা হবে না।

আয়াতঃ 002.175

এরাই হল সে সমস্ত লোক, যারা হেদায়েতের বিনিময়ে গোমরাহী খরিদ করেছে এবং (খরিদ করেছে) ক্ষমা ও অনুগ্রহের বিনিময়ে আযাব। অতএব, তারা দোযখের উপর কেমন ধৈর্য্য ধারণকারী।
Those are they who have purchased error at the price of Guidance, and torment at the price of Forgiveness. So how bold they are (for evil deeds which will push them) to the Fire.

أُولَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُاْ الضَّلاَلَةَ بِالْهُدَى وَالْعَذَابَ بِالْمَغْفِرَةِ فَمَآ أَصْبَرَهُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ
Ola-ika allatheena ishtarawoo alddalalata bialhuda waalAAathaba bialmaghfirati fama asbarahum AAala alnnari

YUSUFALI: They are the ones who buy Error in place of Guidance and Torment in place of Forgiveness. Ah! what boldness (They show) for the Fire!
PICKTHAL: Those are they who purchase error at the price of guidance, and torment at the price of pardon. How constant are they in their strife to reach the Fire!
SHAKIR: These are they who buy error for the right direction and chastisement for forgiveness; how bold they are to encounter fire.
KHALIFA: It is they who chose the straying instead of guidance, and the retribution instead of forgiveness. Consequently, they will have to endure Hell.
