সূরা সাবা বাংলা

আয়াতঃ 034.044

আমি তাদেরকে কোন কিতাব দেইনি, যা তারা অধ্যয়ন করবে এবং আপনার পূর্বে তাদের কাছে কোন সতর্ককারী প্রেরণ করিনি।
And We had not given them Scriptures which they could study, nor sent to them before you (O Muhammad SAW) any warner (Messenger).

وَمَا آتَيْنَاهُم مِّن كُتُبٍ يَدْرُسُونَهَا وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ قَبْلَكَ مِن نَّذِيرٍ
Wama ataynahum min kutubin yadrusoonaha wama arsalna ilayhim qablaka min natheerin

YUSUFALI: But We had not given them Books which they could study, nor sent messengers to them before thee as Warners.
PICKTHAL: And We have given them no scriptures which they study, nor sent We unto them, before thee, any warner.
SHAKIR: And We have not given them any books which they read, nor did We send to them before you a warner.
KHALIFA: We did not give them any other books to study, nor did we send to them before you another warner.

৪৪। কিন্তু আমি তাদের পূর্বে কোন কিতাব দেই নাই যা তারা পাঠ করতে পারতো অথবা তোমার পূর্বে সর্তককারী রূপে কোন রাসুলও তাদের নিকট প্রেরণ করা হয় নাই ৩৮৫৫।

৩৮৫৫। আরবদের পূর্বপুরুষরা রসুলের [ সা ] আগমনের পূর্বে অন্ধকার যুগে নিমজ্জিত। কিতাবধারী জাতিদের মত আল্লাহ্‌ তাদের কোনও রসুল বা কিতাব প্রেরণ করেন নাই। সেই কারণে যখন তাদের মাঝে সত্যসহ রসুলের [ সা ] আগমন ঘটলো তাদের উচিত ছিলো তা সাদরে গ্রহণ করা। নূতন সত্যকে প্রত্যাখান করা তাদের উচিত হয় নাই।

আয়াতঃ 034.045

তাদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও মিথ্যা আরোপ করেছে। আমি তাদেরকে যা দিয়েছিলাম, এরা তার এক দশমাংশও পায়নি। এরপরও তারা আমার রাসূলগনকে মিথ্যা বলেছে। অতএব কেমন হয়েছে আমার শাস্তি।
And those before them belied; these have not received one tenth (1/10th) of what We had granted to those (of old), yet they belied My Messengers, then how (terrible) was My denial (punishment)!

وَكَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَمَا بَلَغُوا مِعْشَارَ مَا آتَيْنَاهُمْ فَكَذَّبُوا رُسُلِي فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ
Wakaththaba allatheena min qablihim wama balaghoo miAAshara ma ataynahum fakaththaboo rusulee fakayfa kana nakeeri

YUSUFALI: And their predecessors rejected (the Truth); these have not received a tenth of what We had granted to those: yet when they rejected My messengers, how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)!
PICKTHAL: Those before them denied, and these have not attained a tithe of that which We bestowed on them (of old); yet they denied My messengers. How intense then was My abhorrence (of them)!
SHAKIR: And those before them rejected (the truth), and these have not yet attained a tenth of what We gave them, but they gave the lie to My messengers, then how was the manifestation of My disapproval?
KHALIFA: Those before them disbelieved, and even though they did not see one-tenth of (the miracle) we have given to this generation, when they disbelieved My messengers, how severe was My retribution!

৪৫। তাদের পূর্বপুরুষেরাও [ সত্যকে ] প্রত্যাখান করেছিলো। ওদের আমি যা দান করেছিলাম এরা তার একদশমাংশও পায় নাই। তবুও তারা যখন আমার রাসুলদের প্রত্যাখান করলো। তখন কত ভয়ংকর হয়েছিলো আমার প্রত্যাখান ৩৮৫৬।

৩৮৫৬। আরববাসীদের প্রত্যক্ষ পূর্বপুরুষদের [ কোরেশরা ] পূর্বে যারা ছিলো, যেমন সাবা, আদ, সামুদ প্রভৃতি জাতির নিকট আল্লাহ্‌ সত্য প্রেরণ করেন, তাঁর অনুগ্রহ বিতরণ করেন – তাদের যে পরিমাণ ক্ষমতা ,সম্পদ দান করেন তা ছিলো মোশরেক কোরেশদের থেকে দশগুণ বেশী। পার্থিব প্রচুর ক্ষমতা ও সম্পদ থাকা সত্বেও তারা যখন আল্লাহ্‌র সত্য বা প্রত্যাদেশ থেকে বিমুখ হয় , আল্লাহ্‌ তাদের থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেন, এবং তাঁর অনুগ্রহ বঞ্চিত করেন। আল্লাহ্‌র অনুগ্রহ বঞ্চিত অবস্থা কি ভয়াবহ অবস্থা এগুলি হচ্ছে তার উদাহরণ যার সাহায্যে পরবর্তী প্রজন্মদের , হযরত মুহম্মদের [সা ] উত্তর পুরুষদের বিনয়ী হতে আদেশ দান করা হয়েছে।

উপদেশ হচ্ছে , কেউ যদি আল্লাহ্‌র প্রেরিত সত্যকে অস্বীকার করে এবং তা থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, তবে তার পরিণতি ভয়াবহ।

আয়াতঃ 034.046

বলুন, আমি তোমাদেরকে একটি বিষয়ে উপদেশ দিচ্ছিঃ তোমরা আল্লাহর নামে এক একজন করে ও দু, দু জন করে দাঁড়াও, অতঃপর চিন্তা-ভাবনা কর-তোমাদের সঙ্গীর মধ্যে কোন উম্মাদনা নেই। তিনি তো আসন্ন কাঠোর শাস্তি সম্পর্কে তোমাদেরকে সতর্ক করেন মাত্র।
Say (to them O Muhammad SAW): ”I exhort you on one (thing) only: that you stand up for Allâh’s sake in pairs and singly, and reflect (within yourselves the life history of the Prophet SAW): there is no madness in your companion (Muhammad SAW), he is only a warner to you in face of a severe torment.”
