৩৮৩৫। মূল কথা হচ্ছে দুর্বল ও প্রভাবশালী উভয়েরই বিশ্বাসের অভাব ছিলো অত্যন্ত বেশী। দুপক্ষই সমান দোষে দোষী। যখন শেষ বিচারের দিন উপস্থিত হবে এবং সকলের হিসাব গ্রহণ করা হবে, তখন একপক্ষ অন্যপক্ষকে দোষারোপ করতে থাকবে।
৩৮৩৬। অজ্ঞলোক যারা কিতাবধারী জাতিদের দ্বারা প্রতারিত হবে তারা বলবে, ” তোমরা আমাদের পথভ্রষ্ট করেছ ; তোমরা পূর্বে প্রত্যাদেশ লাভ করেছ ; সুতারাং তোমরা শেষ নবীর আগমন সম্বন্ধে অবগত ছিলে ; কিন্তু আমরা ছিলাম না। তোমাদের খারাপ উদাহরণ দ্বারা আমরা প্রভাবিত হয়ে আল্লাহ্র প্রত্যাদেশকে গ্রহণ করি নাই। তোমাদের খারাপ উদাহরণ না থাকলে আমরা বিশ্বাসীতে পরিণত হতাম।” অথবা যারা দুর্বল চিত্ত এবং সর্বদা তাদের নেতাকে অনুসরণ করে থাকে, অথবা যারা কম নেয়ামত প্রাপ্ত , তারা তাদের থেকে যারা শ্রেষ্ঠ তাদের অনুসরণ করে থাকে। এ সব লোকদেরই এখানে দুর্বল বলা হয়েছে। পৃথিবীতে যারা নিজেদের শ্রেষ্ঠ মনে করতো এবং নিজেদের ভন্ডামিপূর্ণ কার্যকলাপ দ্বারা লাভবান হতো ; শেষ বিচারের দিনে তারা ঘৃণার পাত্রে পরিণত হবে।
আয়াতঃ 034.032
অহংকারীরা দুর্বলকে বলবে, তোমাদের কাছে হেদায়েত আসার পর আমরা কি তোমাদেরকে বাধা দিয়েছিলাম? বরং তোমরাই তো ছিলে অপরাধী।
And those who were arrogant will say to those who were deemed weak: ”Did we keep you back from guidance after it had come to you? Nay, but you were Mujrimûn (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disobedient to Allâh, etc.).
قَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا أَنَحْنُ صَدَدْنَاكُمْ عَنِ الْهُدَى بَعْدَ إِذْ جَاءكُم بَلْ كُنتُم مُّجْرِمِينَ
Qala allatheena istakbaroo lillatheena istudAAifoo anahnu sadadnakum AAani alhuda baAAda ith jaakum bal kuntum mujrimeena
YUSUFALI: The arrogant ones will say to those who had been despised: “Was it we who kept you back from Guidance after it reached you? Nay, rather, it was ye who transgressed.
PICKTHAL: Those who were proud say unto those who were despised: Did we drive you away from the guidance after it had come unto you? Nay, but ye were guilty.
SHAKIR: Those who were proud shall say to those who were deemed weak: Did we turn you away from the guidance after it had come to you? Nay, you (yourselves) were guilty
KHALIFA: The leaders will say to those who followed them, “Are we the ones who diverted you from the guidance after it came to you? No; it is you who were wicked.”
৩২। ক্ষমতাদর্পীরা, যারা ছিলো নগন্য তাদের বলবে, “সৎ পথের নির্দ্দেশ লাভ করার পরে আমরাই কি তোমাদের তা থেকে নিবৃত্ত করেছিলাম ? না , বরং তোমরাই সীমালঙ্ঘন করেছিলে।” ৩৮৩৭
৩৮৩৭। বিপথে চালনাকারী ও বিপথগামী উভয়েই উভয়কে দোষারোপ করবে। তবে উভয়ের মধ্যে সামান্য হলেও সত্য আছে। তবুও নিজেদের ব্যক্তিগত দায়িত্ব উপলব্ধি না করার জন্য উভয়েই সমভাবে দোষী।
আয়াতঃ 034.033
দুর্বলরা অহংকারীদেরকে বলবে, বরং তোমরাই তো দিবারাত্রি চক্রান্ত করে আমাদেরকে নির্দেশ দিতে যেন আমরা আল্লাহকে না মানি এবং তাঁর অংশীদার সাব্যস্ত করি তারা যখন শাস্তি দেখবে, তখন মনের অনুতাপ মনেই রাখবে। বস্তুতঃ আমি কাফেরদের গলায় বেড়ী পরাব। তারা সে প্রতিফলই পেয়ে থাকে যা তারা করত।
Those who were deemed weak will say to those who were arrogant: ”Nay, but it was your plotting by night and day, when you ordered us to disbelieve in Allâh and set up rivals to Him!” And each of them (parties) will conceal their own regrets (for disobeying Allâh during this worldly life), when they behold the torment. And We shall put iron collars round the necks of those who disbelieved. Are they requited aught except what they used to do?
وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا بَلْ مَكْرُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ إِذْ تَأْمُرُونَنَا أَن نَّكْفُرَ بِاللَّهِ وَنَجْعَلَ لَهُ أَندَادًا وَأَسَرُّوا النَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ وَجَعَلْنَا الْأَغْلَالَ فِي أَعْنَاقِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هَلْ يُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Waqala allatheena istudAAifoo lillatheena istakbaroo bal makru allayli waalnnahari ith ta/muroonana an nakfura biAllahi wanajAAala lahu andadan waasarroo alnnadamata lamma raawoo alAAathaba wajaAAalna al-aghlala fee aAAnaqi allatheena kafaroo hal yujzawna illa ma kanoo yaAAmaloona
YUSUFALI: Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones: “Nay! it was a plot (of yours) by day and by night: Behold! Ye (constantly) ordered us to be ungrateful to Allah and to attribute equals to Him!” They will declare (their) repentance when they see the Penalty: We shall put yokes on the necks of the Unbelievers: It would only be a requital for their (ill) Deeds.
PICKTHAL: Those who were despised say unto those who were proud: Nay but (it was your) scheming night and day, when ye commanded us to disbelieve in Allah and set up rivals unto Him. And they are filled with remorse when they behold the doom; and We place carcans on the necks of those who disbelieved. Are they requited aught save what they used to do?
SHAKIR: And those who were deemed weak shall say to those who were proud. Nay, (it was) planning by night and day when you told us to disbelieve in Allah and to set up likes with Him. And they shall conceal regret when they shall see the punishment; and We will put shackles on the necks of those who disbelieved; they shall not be requited but what they did.
KHALIFA: The followers will say to their leaders, “It was you who schemed night and day, then commanded us to be unappreciative of GOD, and to set up idols to rank with Him.” They will be ridden with remorse, when they see the retribution, for we will place shackles around the necks of those who disbelieved. Are they not justly requited for what they did?
