আয়াতঃ 003.156
হে ঈমাণদারগণ! তোমরা তাদের মত হয়ো না, যারা কাফের হয়েছে এবং নিজেদের ভাই বন্ধুরা যখন কোন অভিযানে বের হয় কিংবা জেহাদে যায়, তখন তাদের সম্পর্কে বলে, তারা যদি আমাদের সাথে থাকতো, তাহলে মরতোও না আহতও হতো না। যাতে তারা এ ধারণা সৃষ্টির মাধ্যমে সংশ্লিষ্টদের মনে অনুতাপ সৃষ্টি করতে পারে। অথচ আল্লাহই জীবন দান করেন এবং মৃত্যু দেন। তোমাদের সমস্ত কাজই, তোমরা যা কিছুই কর না কেন, আল্লাহ সবকিছুৃই দেখেন।
O you who believe! Be not like those who disbelieve (hypocrites) and who say to their brethren when they travel through the earth or go out to fight: ”If they had stayed with us, they would not have died or been killed,” so that Allâh may make it a cause of regret in their hearts. It is Allâh that gives life and causes death. And Allâh is AllSeer of what you do.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَكُونُواْ كَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَقَالُواْ لإِخْوَانِهِمْ إِذَا ضَرَبُواْ فِي الأَرْضِ أَوْ كَانُواْ غُزًّى لَّوْ كَانُواْ عِندَنَا مَا مَاتُواْ وَمَا قُتِلُواْ لِيَجْعَلَ اللّهُ ذَلِكَ حَسْرَةً فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ وَاللّهُ يُحْيِـي وَيُمِيتُ وَاللّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la takoonoo kaallatheena kafaroo waqaloo li-ikhwanihim itha daraboo fee al-ardi aw kanoo ghuzzan law kanoo AAindana ma matoo wama qutiloo liyajAAala Allahu thalika hasratan fee quloobihim waAllahu yuhyee wayumeetu waAllahu bima taAAmaloona baseerun
YUSUFALI: O ye who believe! Be not like the Unbelievers, who say of their brethren, when they are travelling through the Earth or engaged in fighting: “If they had stayed with us, they would not have died, or been slain.” This that Allah may make it a cause of sighs and regrets in their hearts. It is Allah that gives Life and Death, and Allah sees well all that ye do.
PICKTHAL: O ye who believe! Be not as those who disbelieved and said of their brethren who went abroad in the land or were fighting in the field: If they had been (here) with us they would not have died or been killed: that Allah may make it anguish in their hearts. Allah giveth life and causeth death; and Allah is Seer of what ye do.
SHAKIR: O you who believe! be not like those who disbelieve and say of their brethren when they travel in the earth or engage in fighting: Had they been with us, they would not have died and they would not have been slain; so Allah makes this to be an intense regret in their hearts; and Allah gives life and causes death and Allah sees what you do.
KHALIFA: O you who believe, do not be like those who disbelieved and said of their kinsmen who traveled or mobilized for war, “Had they stayed with us, they would not have died or gotten killed.” GOD renders this a source of grief in their hearts. GOD controls life and death. GOD is Seer of everything you do.
আয়াতঃ 003.157
আর তোমরা যদি আল্লাহর পথে নিহত হও কিংবা মৃত্যুবরণ কর, তোমরা যা কিছু সংগ্রহ করে থাক আল্লাহ তা’আলার ক্ষমা ও করুণা সে সবকিছুর চেয়ে উত্তম।
And if you are killed or die in the Way of Allâh, forgiveness and mercy from Allâh are far better than all that they amass (of worldly wealths, etc.).
وَلَئِن قُتِلْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ أَوْ مُتُّمْ لَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللّهِ وَرَحْمَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ
Wala-in qutiltum fee sabeeli Allahi aw muttum lamaghfiratun mina Allahi warahmatun khayrun mimma yajmaAAoona
YUSUFALI: And if ye are slain, or die, in the way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all they could amass.
PICKTHAL: And what though ye be slain in Allah’s way or die therein? Surely pardon from Allah and mercy are better than all that they amass.
SHAKIR: And if you are slain in the way of Allah or you die, certainly forgiveness from Allah and mercy is better than what they amass.
KHALIFA: Whether you get killed or die in the cause of GOD, the forgiveness from GOD, and mercy are far better than anything they hoard.
আয়াতঃ 003.158
আর তোমরা মৃত্যুই বরণ কর অথবা নিহতই হও, অবশ্য আল্লাহ তা’আলার সামনেই সমবেত হবে।
And whether you die, or are killed, verily, unto Allâh you shall be gathered.
وَلَئِن مُّتُّمْ أَوْ قُتِلْتُمْ لإِلَى الله تُحْشَرُونَ
Wala-in muttum aw qutiltum la-ila Allahi tuhsharoona
