And the sun Runs its fixed course For a term (decreed), that is The Decree of (Allah) The Exalted in Might, The All-Knowing.’ (36.38) Volume 6, Book 60, Number 326 : Narrated Abu Dharr : Once I was with the Prophet in the mosque at the time of sunset. The Prophet said, ‘O Abu Dharr! Do you know where the sun sets?’ I replied, ‘Allah and His Apostle know best.’ He said, ‘It goes and prostrates underneath (Allah’s) Throne; and that is Allah’s Statement : ‘And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (decreed). And that is the decree of All-Mighty, the All-Knowing….’ (36.38) Volume 6, Book 60, Number 327 : Narrated Abu Dharr : I asked the Prophet about the Statement of Allah : ‘And the sun runs on fixed course for a term (decreed),’ (36.38) He said, ‘Its course is underneath ‘Allah’s Throne.’ (Prostration of Sun trees, stars. mentioned in Qur’an and Hadith does not mean like our prostration but it means that these objects are obedient to their Creator (Allah) and they obey for what they have been created for).

২২৭ জাকির নায়েকঃ কোন কোন ইসলামিস্ট সাম্প্রতিককালে ‘দাহাহা’ শব্দের অর্থ করার চেষ্টা করেছেন, ‘উট পাখির ডিম’ বা ‘উট পাখির ডিমের মতো আকৃতির। তারা বলেন, এই আয়াতে দাহাহা দ্বারা ‘বিস্তৃত করা বোঝানো হয় নি (যদিও পাঠক থোল করলেই দেখবেন যে, অন্য সকল স্থানে কিন্তু বিস্তৃত করাই বোঝানো হয়েছে, এবং ইউসুফ আলী কিংবা পিকথালের অনুবাদে expanding অর্থেই ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে)। এর দ্বারা নাকি বোঝানো হয়েছে, গোলাকার তথা উট পাখির ডিমের মতো করে তৈরি করা। কারণ হিসেবে এই ইসলামিক স্কলাররা। বলছেন, দাহাহা শব্দের মূল হলো ‘দুহিয়া’ যার অর্থ উট পাখির ডিম। এটা যে কষ্টকল্পিত আর জোড়াতালি ব্যাখ্যা তা না বললেও বোধ হয় চলবে। এখানে ‘দাহাহা’র সাথে উট পাখির ডিমের সম্পর্ক কোনোভাবেই করা যায় না। আরবি অভিধান ঘাঁটলেই তার প্রমাণ পাওয়া যায়। ডিমের আরবি হলো আল বাইজা, দুহিযা/দাহাহা নয়। তারপরও অনেকে ডিম নিয়ে পড়ে থাকতে চান, আর মানুষকে প্রতারিত করেন। যদি ডিমের ব্যাপারটি সঠিক বলে ধরেও নেই, তারপরেও তাদের যুক্তি ধোপে টেকে না। পৃথিবীর আকৃতি আসলে ডিমের মতো না। এমনকি স্কুলের ভূগোল বইয়েই পাওয়া যায় পৃথিবীর আকৃতি অনেকটা কমলালেবুর মতো- উত্তর দক্ষিণে খানিকটা চাঁপা। এধরণের আকৃতিকে বলে oblate (বিষুব বরাবর প্রসারিত)। আর অন্য দিকে ডিমের আকৃতি উত্তর দক্ষিণে ছুঁচালো, কারণ ডিম হলো prolate আকৃতির (মেরু বরাবর প্রসারিত)। এ প্রসঙ্গে আরও জানার জন্য উইকি ইসলাম থেকে দেখুন
