YUSUFALI: “But seek, with the (wealth) which Allah has bestowed on thee, the Home of the Hereafter, nor forget thy portion in this world: but do thou good, as Allah has been good to thee, and seek not (occasions for) mischief in the land: for Allah loves not those who do mischief.”
PICKTHAL: But seek the abode of the Hereafter in that which Allah hath given thee and neglect not thy portion of the world, and be thou kind even as Allah hath been kind to thee, and seek not corruption in the earth; lo! Allah loveth not corrupters,
SHAKIR: And seek by means of what Allah has given you the future abode, and do not neglect your portion of this world, and do good (to others) as Allah has done good to you, and do not seek to make mischief in the land, surely Allah does not love the mischief-makers.
KHALIFA: “Use the provisions bestowed upon you by GOD to seek the abode of the Hereafter, without neglecting your share in this world. Be charitable, as GOD has been charitable towards you. Do not keep on corrupting the earth. GOD does not love the corruptors.”
৭৭। বরং আল্লাহ্ যে [সম্পদ ] তোমাকে দান করেছেন , তা দিয়ে পরলোকের আবাস অনুসন্ধান কর ৩৪০৭। এই পৃথিবীতে তোমার অংশ ভুলে যেও না। পরের উপকার কর যেমন আল্লাহ্ তোমার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করেছেন, এবং পৃথিবীতে অশান্তি সৃষ্টি করার কারণ [ অনুসন্ধান ] করো না। কারণ যারা অশান্তি সৃষ্টি করে আল্লাহ্ তাদের ভালোবাসেন না।
৩৪০৭। আখিরাতের আবাস অনুসন্ধানের পথ এখানে বলে দেয়া হয়েছে। সে পথ হচ্ছে , ” পরোপকার করা।” ভালো কাজে আল্লাহ্র সন্তুষ্টির জন্য দান করা। মানুষের অর্থ-সম্পদ , বিষয়-বৈভব,মান সম্মান , সবই সেই সর্ব শক্তিমানের অনুগ্রহ এই সাধারণ সত্য কথাটি মানুষ ভুলে যায়। আল্লাহ্র অনুগ্রহ , আল্লাহ্র সন্তুষ্টির জন্য ব্যয় করা প্রয়োজন। তার অর্থ এই নয় যে, কেউ তার ব্যক্তিগত প্রয়োজনকে অস্বীকার করবে ” পৃথিবীতে তোমার অংশ ভুলে যেও না।” একমাত্র কৃপণ যারা তারাই ব্যক্তিগত প্রয়োজনেও খরচ করে না। যারা সর্বদা শুধুমাত্র অর্থ সম্পদের কথাই দিনরাত্রি চিন্তা করে তারাই বিশেষতঃ কৃপণ হয়। যদি অর্থ সম্পদ সঠিকভাবে খরচ করা না হয়, তবে নিম্নোক্ত তিন ধরণের পাপের দ্বারা সম্পদের অধিকারী ব্যক্তিরা বেষ্টিত হয় :
১) তারা হয় অত্যন্ত কৃপণ ! তারা নিজের ও পরিবারবর্গের ব্যক্তিগত প্রয়োজনেও খরচ করতে পারে না।
২) সে গরীবের দুঃখ কষ্ট বুঝতে অক্ষম অথবা কোনও মহৎ কাজেও সে সম্পদের সদ্ব্যবহার করতে অক্ষম।
৩) এবং সে সম্পদের অপব্যবহার করে এবং সমাজের বহু ক্ষতি সাধন করে।
বাহ্যতঃ প্রতীয়মান হয় যে, কারূণ এই তিন ধরণের পাপেই আসক্ত ছিলো
আয়াতঃ 028.078
সে বলল, আমি এই ধন আমার নিজস্ব জ্ঞান-গরিমা দ্বারা প্রাপ্ত হয়েছি। সে কি জানে না যে, আল্লাহ তার পূর্বে অনেক সম্প্রদায়কে ধ্বংস করেছেন, যারা শক্তিতে ছিল তার চাইতে প্রবল এবং ধন-সম্পদে অধিক প্রাচুর্যশীল? পাপীদেরকে তাদের পাপকর্ম সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞেস করা হবে না।
He said: ”This has been given to me only because of knowledge I possess.” Did he not know that Allâh had destroyed before him generations, men who were stronger than him in might and greater in the amount (of riches) they had collected. But the Mujrimûn (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) will not be questioned of their sins (because Allâh knows them well, so they will be punished without account).
قَالَ إِنَّمَا أُوتِيتُهُ عَلَى عِلْمٍ عِندِي أَوَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَهْلَكَ مِن قَبْلِهِ مِنَ القُرُونِ مَنْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُ قُوَّةً وَأَكْثَرُ جَمْعًا وَلَا يُسْأَلُ عَن ذُنُوبِهِمُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ
Qala innama ooteetuhu AAala AAilmin AAindee awa lam yaAAlam anna Allaha qad ahlaka min qablihi mina alqurooni man huwa ashaddu minhu quwwatan waaktharu jamAAan wala yus-alu AAan thunoobihimu almujrimoona
YUSUFALI: He said: “This has been given to me because of a certain knowledge which I have.” Did he not know that Allah had destroyed, before him, (whole) generations,- which were superior to him in strength and greater in the amount (of riches) they had collected? but the wicked are not called (immediately) to account for their sins.
PICKTHAL: He said: I have been given it only on account of knowledge I possess. Knew he not that Allah had destroyed already of the generations before him men who were mightier than him in strength and greater in respect of following? The guilty are not questioned of their sins.
SHAKIR: He said: I have been given this only on account of the knowledge I have. Did he not know that Allah had destroyed before him of the generations those who were mightier in strength than he and greater in assemblage? And the guilty shall not be asked about their faults.
KHALIFA: He said, “I attained all this because of my own cleverness.” Did he not realize that GOD had annihilated before him generations that were much stronger than he, and greater in number? The (annihilated) transgressors were not asked about their crimes.
