YUSUFALI: Then, when he decided to lay hold of the man who was an enemy to both of them, that man said: “O Moses! Is it thy intention to slay me as thou slewest a man yesterday? Thy intention is none other than to become a powerful violent man in the land, and not to be one who sets things right!”
PICKTHAL: And when he would have fallen upon the man who was an enemy unto them both, he said: O Moses! Wouldst thou kill me as thou didst kill a person yesterday. Thou wouldst be nothing but a tyrant in the land, thou wouldst not be of the reformers.
SHAKIR: So when he desired to seize him who was an enemy to them both, he said: O Musa! do you intend to kill me as you killed a person yesterday? You desire nothing but that you should be a tyrant in the land, and you do not desire to be of those who act aright.
KHALIFA: Before he attempted to strike their common enemy, he said, “O Moses, do you want to kill me, as you killed the other man yesterday? Obviously, you wish to be a tyrant on earth; you do not wish to be righteous.”
১৯। অতঃপর, মুসা যখন তাদের উভয়ের শত্রুকে ধরতে উদ্যত হলো ৩৩৪৫; তখন সে ব্যক্তি বলে ঊঠলো, ” হে মুসা ! গতকাল তুমি যেভাবে এক ব্যক্তিকে হত্যা করেছ, তোমার উদ্দেশ্য কি সেভাবে আমাকে হত্যা করা ? [আসলে] তোমার উদ্দেশ্য হচ্ছে পৃথিবীতে স্বেচ্ছাচারী উৎপীড়ক হওয়া ; শান্তিস্থাপনকারী হওয়া নয়। ” ৩৩৪৬
৩৩৪৫। এর পরের ঘটনা হচ্ছে ,মুসা যখন আবার ধারণা করলেন যে মিশরবাসীটিই অন্যায়ভাবে ইহুদীটিকে মারধর করছে, তিনি ব্যাপারটিতে হস্তক্ষেপ করতে পুণরায় মনস্ত করলেন। ” উভয়ের শত্রু ” অর্থাৎ মুসা এবং ইহুদীটির শত্রু মিশরবাসীটি। ঠিক সে সময়েই তিনি দ্বিবিধ সর্তকবাণী লাভ করেন। একটি হচ্ছে যুদ্ধরত মিশরবাসীটির কাছ থেকে , অন্যটি অপর এক বন্ধুসুলভ ব্যক্তির নিকট থেকে যে ইসরাঈলীও হতে পারে বা মিশরবাসীও হতে পারে। ধারণা করা যেতে পারে যে প্রথম দিনের ঘটনার পরে হাট-বাজারে ঘটনাটি সম্বন্ধে প্রচুর আলোচনা হয়েছে যেখানে মিশরবাসী ও ইসরাঈলী উভয়পক্ষ অংশ গ্রহণ করেছে। ফলে যুদ্ধরত ইসরাঈলীটি নিজেকে বিজয়ী বলে ধারণা করে উৎফুল্ল হয়ে ওঠে এবং দ্বিতীয় দিনও সংঘর্ষে লিপ্ত হয় এবং মুসাকে সাহায্যের জন্য আহ্বান করে; যে কারণে হযরত মুসা বিরক্ত হয়ে তাকে তিরষ্কার করেন। সম্ভবতঃ হত্যার ঘটনাটি মিশরবাসীদের মধ্যে ব্যপক সাড়া জাগায় ও আলোচনা হয় এবং তারা যখন প্রকৃত হত্যাকারীকে সনাক্ত করতে পারে , তখন তারা তা রাজপ্রাসাদে ঘটনাটি জ্ঞাত করে। যে কারণে মুসা রাজপ্রাসাদে ফিরে যেতে সাহস করেন নাই।
৩৩৪৬। মিশরবাসীটি পূর্বের সম্পূর্ণ ঘটনাটি অবগত ছিলো। সে মুসাকে বললো, তুমি কি গতকালের ঘটনার পুণরাবৃত্তি করতে চাও ? তুমি তো একজন স্বেচ্ছাচারী বই আর কিছু নও। আর তুমি সর্বদা ন্যায়ের ও শান্তির কথা বল। যদি তুমি সত্যবাদী হও তবে পৃথিবীতে শান্তি স্থাপন করবে।
আয়াতঃ 028.020
এসময় শহরের প্রান্ত থেকে একব্যক্তি ছুটে আসল এবং বলল, হে মূসা, রাজ্যের পরিষদবর্গ তোমাকে হত্যা করার পরমর্শ করছে। অতএব, তুমি বের হয়ে যাও। আমি তোমার হিতাকাঙ্ক্ষী।
And there came a man running, from the farthest end of the city. He said: ”O Mûsa (Moses)! Verily, the chiefs are taking counsel together about you, to kill you, so escape.Truly, I am to you of those who give sincere advice.”
وَجَاء رَجُلٌ مِّنْ أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ يَسْعَى قَالَ يَا مُوسَى إِنَّ الْمَلَأَ يَأْتَمِرُونَ بِكَ لِيَقْتُلُوكَ فَاخْرُجْ إِنِّي لَكَ مِنَ النَّاصِحِينَ
Wajaa rajulun min aqsa almadeenati yasAAa qala ya moosa inna almalaa ya/tamiroona bika liyaqtulooka faokhruj innee laka mina alnnasiheena
YUSUFALI: And there came a man, running, from the furthest end of the City. He said: “O Moses! the Chiefs are taking counsel together about thee, to slay thee: so get thee away, for I do give thee sincere advice.”
PICKTHAL: And a man came from the uttermost part of the city, running. He said: O Moses! Lo! the chiefs take counsel against thee to slay thee; therefor escape. Lo! I am of those who give thee good advice.
SHAKIR: And a man came running from the remotest part of the city. He said: O Musa! surely the chiefs are consulting together to slay you, therefore depart (at once); surely I am of those who wish well to you.
KHALIFA: A man came running from the other side of the city, saying, “O Moses, the people are plotting to kill you. You better leave immediately. I am giving you good advice.”
