عَفَا اللّهُ عَنكَ لِمَ أَذِنتَ لَهُمْ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُواْ وَتَعْلَمَ الْكَاذِبِينَ
AAafa Allahu AAanka lima athinta lahum hatta yatabayyana laka allatheena sadaqoo wataAAlama alkathibeena
YUSUFALI: Allah give thee grace! why didst thou grant them until those who told the truth were seen by thee in a clear light, and thou hadst proved the liars?
PICKTHAL: Allah forgive thee (O Muhammad)! Wherefor didst thou grant them leave ere those who told the truth were manifest to thee and thou didst know the liars?
SHAKIR: Allah pardon you! Why did you give them leave until those who spoke the truth had become manifest to you and you had known the liars?
KHALIFA: GOD has pardoned you: why did you give them permission (to stay behind), before you could distinguish those who are truthful from the liars?
আয়াতঃ 009.044
আল্লাহ ও রোজ কেয়ামতের প্রতি যাদের ঈমান রয়েছে তারা মাল ও জান দ্বারা জেহাদ করা থেকে আপনার কাছে অব্যাহতি কামনা করবে না, আর আল্লাহ সাবধানীদের ভাল জানেন।
Those who believe in Allâh and the Last Day would not ask your leave to be exempted from fighting with their properties and their lives, and Allâh is the All-Knower of Al-Muttaqûn (the pious – see V.2:2).
لاَ يَسْتَأْذِنُكَ الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ أَن يُجَاهِدُواْ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ وَاللّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالْمُتَّقِينَ
La yasta/thinuka allatheena yu/minoona biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhiri an yujahidoo bi-amwalihim waanfusihim waAllahu AAaleemun bialmuttaqeena
YUSUFALI: Those who believe in Allah and the Last Day ask thee for no exemption from fighting with their goods and persons. And Allah knoweth well those who do their duty.
PICKTHAL: Those who believe in Allah and the Last Day ask no leave of thee lest they should strive with their wealth and their lives. Allah is Aware of those who keep their duty (unto Him).
SHAKIR: They do not ask leave of you who believe in Allah and the latter day (to stay away) from striving hard with their property and their persons, and Allah knows those who guard (against evil).
KHALIFA: Those who truly believe in GOD and the Last Day do not ask your permission to evade the opportunity to strive with their money and their lives. GOD is fully aware of the righteous.
আয়াতঃ 009.045
নিঃসন্দেহে তারাই আপনার কাছে অব্যাহতি চায়, যারা আল্লাহ ও রোজ কেয়ামতে ঈমান রাখে না এবং তাদের অন্তর সন্দেহগ্রস্ত হয়ে পড়েছে, সুতরাং সন্দেহের আবর্তে তারা ঘুরপাক খেয়ে চলেছে।
It is only those who believe not in Allâh and the Last Day and whose hearts are in doubt that ask your leave (to be exempted from Jihâd). So in their doubts they waver.
إِنَّمَا يَسْتَأْذِنُكَ الَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَارْتَابَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي رَيْبِهِمْ يَتَرَدَّدُونَ
Innama yasta/thinuka allatheena la yu/minoona biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhiri wairtabat quloobuhum fahum fee raybihim yataraddadoona
YUSUFALI: Only those ask thee for exemption who believe not in Allah and the Last Day, and whose hearts are in doubt, so that they are tossed in their doubts to and fro.
PICKTHAL: They alone ask leave of thee who believe not in Allah and the Last Day, and whose hearts feel doubt, so in their doubt they waver.
SHAKIR: They only ask leave of you who do not believe in Allah and the latter day and their hearts are in doubt, so in their doubt do they waver.
KHALIFA: The only people who wish to be excused are those who do not really believe in GOD and the Last Day. Their hearts are full of doubt, and their doubts cause them to waver.
আয়াতঃ 009.046
আর যদি তারা বের হবার সংকল্প নিত, তবে অবশ্যই কিছু সরঞ্জাম প্রস্তুত করতো। কিন্তু তাদের উত্থান আল্লাহর পছন্দ নয়, তাই তাদের নিবৃত রাখলেন এবং আদেশ হল বসা লোকদের সাথে তোমরা বসে থাক।
And if they had intended to march out, certainly, they would have made some preparation for it, but Allâh was averse to their being sent forth, so He made them lag behind, and it was said (to them), ”Sit you among those who sit (at home).”
وَلَوْ أَرَادُواْ الْخُرُوجَ لأَعَدُّواْ لَهُ عُدَّةً وَلَـكِن كَرِهَ اللّهُ انبِعَاثَهُمْ فَثَبَّطَهُمْ وَقِيلَ اقْعُدُواْ مَعَ الْقَاعِدِينَ
Walaw aradoo alkhurooja laaAAaddoo lahu AAuddatan walakin kariha Allahu inbiAAathahum fathabbatahum waqeela oqAAudoo maAAa alqaAAideena
