فَمَا كَانَ دَعْوَاهُمْ إِذْ جَاءهُمْ بَأْسُنَا إِلاَّ أَن قَالُواْ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ
Fama kana daAAwahum ith jaahum ba/suna illa an qaloo inna kunna thalimeena
YUSUFALI: When (thus) Our punishment took them, no cry did they utter but this: “Indeed we did wrong.”
PICKTHAL: No plea had they, when Our terror came unto them, save that they said: Lo! We were wrong-doers.
SHAKIR: Yet their cry, when Our punishment came to them, was nothing but that they said: Surely we were unjust.
KHALIFA: Their utterance when our retribution came to them was: “Indeed, we have been transgressors.”
আয়াতঃ 007.006
অতএব, আমি অবশ্যই তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করব যাদের কাছে রসূল প্রেরিত হয়েছিল এবং আমি অবশ্যই তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করব রসূলগণকে।
Then surely, We shall question those (people) to whom it (the Book) was sent and verily, We shall question the Messengers.
فَلَنَسْأَلَنَّ الَّذِينَ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَنَسْأَلَنَّ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Falanas-alanna allatheena orsila ilayhim walanas-alanna almursaleena
YUSUFALI: Then shall we question those to whom Our message was sent and those by whom We sent it.
PICKTHAL: Then verily We shall question those unto whom (Our message) hath been sent, and verily We shall question the messengers.
SHAKIR: Most certainly then We will question those to whom (the messengers) were sent, and most certainly We will also question the messengers;
KHALIFA: We will certainly question those who received the message, and we will question the messengers.
আয়াতঃ 007.007
অতঃপর আমি স্বজ্ঞানে তাদের কাছে অবস্থা বর্ণনা করব। বস্তুতঃ আমি অনুপস্থিত তো ছিলাম না।
Then surely, We shall narrate unto them (their whole story) with knowledge, and indeed We were not absent.
فَلَنَقُصَّنَّ عَلَيْهِم بِعِلْمٍ وَمَا كُنَّا غَآئِبِينَ
Falanaqussanna AAalayhim biAAilmin wama kunna gha-ibeena
YUSUFALI: And verily, We shall recount their whole story with knowledge, for We were never absent (at any time or place).
PICKTHAL: Then verily We shall narrate unto them (the event) with knowledge, for We were not absent (when it came to pass).
SHAKIR: Then most certainly We will relate to them with knowledge, and We were not absent.
KHALIFA: We will inform them authoritatively, for we were never absent.
আয়াতঃ 007.008
আর সেদিন যথার্থই ওজন হবে। অতঃপর যাদের পাল্লা ভারী হবে, তারাই সফলকাম হবে।
And the weighing on that day (Day of Resurrection) will be the true (weighing). So as for those whose scale (of good deeds) will be heavy, they will be the successful (by entering Paradise).
وَالْوَزْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْحَقُّ فَمَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
Waalwaznu yawma-ithini alhaqqu faman thaqulat mawazeenuhu faola-ika humu almuflihoona
YUSUFALI: The balance that day will be true (to nicety): those whose scale (of good) will be heavy, will prosper:
PICKTHAL: The weighing on that day is the true (weighing). As for those whose scale is heavy, they are the successful.
SHAKIR: And the measuring out on that day will be just; then as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is heavy, those are they who shall be successful;
KHALIFA: The scales will be set on that day, equitably. Those whose weights are heavy will be the winners.
আয়াতঃ 007.009
এবং যাদের পাল্লা হাল্কা হবে, তারাই এমন হবে, যারা নিজেদের ক্ষতি করেছে। কেননা, তারা আমার আয়াত সমূহ অস্বীকার করতো।
And as for those whose scale will be light, they are those who will lose their ownselves (by entering Hell) because they denied and rejected Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.).
وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُواْ أَنفُسَهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا يِظْلِمُونَ
Waman khaffat mawazeenuhu faola-ika allatheena khasiroo anfusahum bima kanoo bi-ayatina yathlimoona
YUSUFALI: Those whose scale will be light, will be their souls in perdition, for that they wrongfully treated Our signs.
PICKTHAL: And as for those whose scale is light: those are they who lose their souls because they used to wrong Our revelations.
SHAKIR: And as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is light those are they who have made their souls suffer loss because they disbelieved in Our communications.
KHALIFA: As for those whose weights are light, they will be the ones who lost their souls as a consequence of disregarding our revelations, unjustly.
