আয়াতঃ 007.039
পূর্ববর্তীরা পরবর্তীদেরকে বলবেঃ তাহলে আমাদের উপর তোমাদের কোন শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব নেই অতএব, শাস্তি আস্বাদন কর স্বীয় কর্মের কারণে।
The first of them will say to the last of them: ”You were not better than us, so taste the torment for what you used to earn.”
وَقَالَتْ أُولاَهُمْ لأُخْرَاهُمْ فَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا مِن فَضْلٍ فَذُوقُواْ الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْسِبُونَ
Waqalat oolahum li-okhrahum fama kana lakum AAalayna min fadlin fathooqoo alAAathaba bima kuntum taksiboona
YUSUFALI: Then the first will say to the last: “See then! No advantage have ye over us; so taste ye of the penalty for all that ye did !”
PICKTHAL: And the first of them saith unto the last of them: Ye were no whit better than us, so taste the doom for what ye used to earn.
SHAKIR: And the foremost of them will say to the last of them: So you have no preference over us; therefore taste the chastisement for what you earned.
KHALIFA: The ancestral group will say to the later group, “Since you had an advantage over us, taste the retribution for your own sins.”
আয়াতঃ 007.040
নিশ্চয়ই যারা আমার আয়াতসমূহকে মিথ্যা বলেছে এবং এগুলো থেকে অহংকার করেছে, তাদের জন্যে আকাশের দ্বার উম্মুক্ত করা হবে না এবং তারা জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করবে না। যে পর্যন্ত না সূচের ছিদ্র দিয়ে উট প্রবেশ করে। আমি এমনিভাবে পাপীদেরকে শাস্তি প্রদান করি।
Verily, those who belie Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and treat them with arrogance, for them the gates of heaven will not be opened, and they will not enter Paradise until the camel goes through the eye of the needle (which is impossible). Thus do We recompense the Mujrimûn (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.).
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُواْ عَنْهَا لاَ تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمْ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاء وَلاَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى يَلِجَ الْجَمَلُ فِي سَمِّ الْخِيَاطِ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُجْرِمِينَ
Inna allatheena kaththaboo bi-ayatina waistakbaroo AAanha la tufattahu lahum abwabu alssama-i wala yadkhuloona aljannata hatta yalija aljamalu fee sammi alkhiyati wakathalika najzee almujrimeena
YUSUFALI: To those who reject Our signs and treat them with arrogance, no opening will there be of the gates of heaven, nor will they enter the garden, until the camel can pass through the eye of the needle: Such is Our reward for those in sin.
PICKTHAL: Lo! they who deny Our revelations and scorn them, for them the gates of heaven will nor be opened not will they enter the Garden until the camel goeth through the needle’s eye. Thus do We requite the guilty.
SHAKIR: Surely (as for) those who reject Our communications and turn away from them haughtily, the doors of heaven shall not be opened for them, nor shall they enter the garden until the camel pass through the eye of the needle; and thus do We reward the guilty.
KHALIFA: Surely, those who reject our revelations and are too arrogant to uphold them, the gates of the sky will never open for them, nor will they enter Paradise until the camel passes through the needle’s eye. We thus requite the guilty.
আয়াতঃ 007.041
তাদের জন্যে নরকাগ্নির শয্যা রয়েছে এবং উপর থেকে চাদর। আমি এমনিভাবে জালেমদেরকে শাস্তি প্রদান করি।
Theirs will be a bed of Hell (Fire), and over them coverings (of Hell-fire). Thus do We recompense the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrongdoers, etc.).
لَهُم مِّن جَهَنَّمَ مِهَادٌ وَمِن فَوْقِهِمْ غَوَاشٍ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِمِينَ
Lahum min jahannama mihadun wamin fawqihim ghawashin wakathalika najzee alththalimeena
YUSUFALI: For them there is Hell, as a couch (below) and folds and folds of covering above: such is Our requital of those who do wrong.
PICKTHAL: Theirs will be a bed of hell, and over them coverings (of hell). Thus do We requite wrong-doers.
SHAKIR: They shall have a bed of hell-fire and from above them coverings (of it); and thus do We reward the unjust.
KHALIFA: They have incurred Hell as an abode; they will have barriers above them. We thus requite the transgressors.
আয়াতঃ 007.042
যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছে এবং সৎকর্ম করেছে আমি কাউকে তার সামর্থ্যের চাইতে বেশী বোঝা দেই না। তারাই জান্নাতের অধিবাসী। তারা তাতেই চিরকাল থাকবে।
But those who believed (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism), and worked righteousness – We tax not any person beyond his scope, such are the dwellers of Paradise. They will abide therein.
