আয়াতঃ 006.035
আর যদি তাদের বিমুখতা আপনার পক্ষে কষ্টকর হয়, তবে আপনি যদি ভূতলে কোন সুড়ঙ্গ অথবা আকাশে কোন সিড়ি অনুসন্ধান করতে সমর্থ হন, অতঃপর তাদের কাছে কোন একটি মোজেযা আনতে পারেন, তবে নিয়ে আসুন। আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে সবাইকে সরল পথে সমবেত করতে পারতেন। অতএব, আপনি নির্বোধদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবেন না।
If their aversion (from you, O Muhammad SAW and from that with which you have been sent) is hard on you, (and you cannot be patient from their harm to you), then if you were able to seek a tunnel in the ground or a ladder to the sky, so that you may bring them a sign (and you cannot do it, so be patient). And had Allâh willed, He could have gathered them together (all) unto true guidance, so be not you one of those who are Al-Jâhilûn (the ignorant).
وَإِن كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكَ إِعْرَاضُهُمْ فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَن تَبْتَغِيَ نَفَقًا فِي الأَرْضِ أَوْ سُلَّمًا فِي السَّمَاء فَتَأْتِيَهُم بِآيَةٍ وَلَوْ شَاء اللّهُ لَجَمَعَهُمْ عَلَى الْهُدَى فَلاَ تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ
Wa-in kana kabura AAalayka iAAraduhum fa-ini istataAAta an tabtaghiya nafaqan fee al-ardi aw sullaman fee alssama-i fata/tiyahum bi-ayatin walaw shaa Allahu lajamaAAahum AAala alhuda fala takoonanna mina aljahileena
YUSUFALI: If their spurning is hard on thy mind, yet if thou wert able to seek a tunnel in the ground or a ladder to the skies and bring them a sign,- (what good?). If it were Allah’s will, He could gather them together unto true guidance: so be not thou amongst those who are swayed by ignorance (and impatience)!
PICKTHAL: And if their aversion is grievous unto thee, then, if thou canst, seek a way down into the earth or a ladder unto the sky that thou mayst bring unto them a portent (to convince them all)! – If Allah willed, He could have brought them all together to the guidance – So be not thou among the foolish ones.
SHAKIR: And if their turning away is hard on you, then if you can seek an opening (to go down) into the earth or a ladder (to ascend up) to heaven so that you should bring them a sign and if Allah had pleased He would certainly have gathered them all on guidance, therefore be not of the ignorant.
KHALIFA: If their rejection gets to be too much for you, you should know that even if you dug a tunnel through the earth, or climbed a ladder into the sky, and produced a miracle for them (they still would not believe). Had GOD willed, He could have guided them, unanimously. Therefore, do not behave like the ignorant ones.
আয়াতঃ 006.036
তারাই মানে, যারা শ্রবণ করে। আল্লাহ মৃতদেরকে জীবিত করে উত্থিত করবেন। অতঃপর তারা তাঁরই দিকে প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে।
It is only those who listen (to the Message of Prophet Muhammad SAW), will respond (benefit from it), but as for the dead (disbelievers), Allâh will raise them up, then to Him they will be returned (for their recompense).
إِنَّمَا يَسْتَجِيبُ الَّذِينَ يَسْمَعُونَ وَالْمَوْتَى يَبْعَثُهُمُ اللّهُ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَ
Innama yastajeebu allatheena yasmaAAoona waalmawta yabAAathuhumu Allahu thumma ilayhi yurjaAAoona
YUSUFALI: Those who listen (in truth), be sure, will accept: as to the dead, Allah will raise them up; then will they be turned unto Him.
PICKTHAL: Only those can accept who hear. As for the dead, Allah will raise them up; then unto Him they will be returned.
SHAKIR: Only those accept who listen; and (as to) the dead, Allah will raise them, then to Him they shall be returned.
KHALIFA: The only ones to respond are those who listen. GOD resurrects the dead; they ultimately return to Him.
আয়াতঃ 006.037
তারা বলেঃ তার প্রতি তার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে কোন নিদর্শন অবতীর্ণ হয়নি কেন? বলে দিনঃ আল্লাহ নিদর্শন অবতরণ করতে পূর্ন সক্ষম; কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না।
And they said: ”Why is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord?” Say: ”Allâh is certainly Able to send down a sign, but most of them know not.”
وَقَالُواْ لَوْلاَ نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ آيَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِ قُلْ إِنَّ اللّهَ قَادِرٌ عَلَى أَن يُنَزِّلٍ آيَةً وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ
Waqaloo lawla nuzzila AAalayhi ayatun min rabbihi qul inna Allaha qadirun AAala an yunazzila ayatan walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona
