আয়াতঃ 005.023
খোদাভীরুদের মধ্য থেকে দু’ব্যক্তি বলল, যাদের প্রতি আল্লাহ অনুগ্রহ করেছিলেনঃ তোমরা তাদের উপর আক্রমণ করে দরজায় প্রবেশ কর। অতঃপর তোমরা যখন তাতে পবেশ করবে, তখন তোমরাই জয়ী হবে। আর আল্লাহর উপর ভরসা কর যদি তোমরা বিশ্বাসী হও।
Two men of those who feared (Allâh and) on whom Allâh had bestowed His Grace [they were íæÔÚ æ ßÇáÈ Yûsha’ (Joshua) and Kâlab (Caleb)] said: ”Assault them through the gate, for when you are in, victory will be yours, and put your trust in Allâh if you are believers indeed.”
قَالَ رَجُلاَنِ مِنَ الَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنْعَمَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِمَا ادْخُلُواْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْبَابَ فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُمُوهُ فَإِنَّكُمْ غَالِبُونَ وَعَلَى اللّهِ فَتَوَكَّلُواْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Qala rajulani mina allatheena yakhafoona anAAama Allahu AAalayhima odkhuloo AAalayhimu albaba fa-itha dakhaltumoohu fa-innakum ghaliboona waAAala Allahi fatawakkaloo in kuntum mu/mineena
YUSUFALI: (But) among (their) Allah-fearing men were two on whom Allah had bestowed His grace: They said: “Assault them at the (proper) Gate: when once ye are in, victory will be yours; But on Allah put your trust if ye have faith.”
PICKTHAL: Then out spake two of those who feared (their Lord, men) unto whom Allah had been gracious: Enter in upon them by the gate, for if ye enter by it, lo! ye will be victorious. So put your trust (in Allah) if ye are indeed believers.
SHAKIR: Two men of those who feared, upon both of whom Allah had bestowed a favor, said: Enter upon them by the gate, for when you have entered it you shall surely be victorious, and on Allah should you rely if you are believers.
KHALIFA: Two men who were reverent and blessed by GOD said, “Just enter the gate. If you just enter it, you will surely prevail. You must trust in GOD, if you are believers.”
আয়াতঃ 005.024
তারা বললঃ হে মূসা, আমরা জীবনেও কখনো সেখানে যাব না, যতক্ষণ তারা সেখানে থাকবে। অতএব, আপনি ও আপনার পালনকর্তাই যান এবং উভয়ে যুদ্ধ করে নিন। আমরা তো এখানেই বসলাম।
They said: ”O Mûsa (Moses)! We shall never enter it as long as they are there. So go you and your Lord and fight you two, we are sitting right here.”
قَالُواْ يَا مُوسَى إِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَا أَبَدًا مَّا دَامُواْ فِيهَا فَاذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلا إِنَّا هَاهُنَا قَاعِدُونَ
Qaloo ya moosa inna lan nadkhulaha abadan ma damoo feeha fa-ithhab anta warabbuka faqatila inna hahuna qaAAidoona
YUSUFALI: They said: “O Moses! while they remain there, never shall we be able to enter, to the end of time. Go thou, and thy Lord, and fight ye two, while we sit here (and watch).”
PICKTHAL: They said: O Moses! We will never enter (the land) while they are in it. So go thou and thy Lord and fight! We will sit here.
SHAKIR: They said: O Musa! we shall never enter it so long as they are in it; go therefore you and your Lord, then fight you both surely we will here sit down.
KHALIFA: They said, “O Moses, we will never enter it, so long as they are in it. Therefore, go – you and your Lord – and fight. We are sitting right here.”
আয়াতঃ 005.025
মূসা বললঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমি শুধু নিজের উপর ও নিজের ভাইয়ের উপর ক্ষমতা রাখি। অতএব, আপনি আমাদের মধ্যে ও এ অবাধ্য সম্প্রদায়ের মধ্যে সম্পর্কচ্ছেদ করুন।
He [Mûsa (Moses)] said: ”O my Lord! I have power only over myself and my brother, so separate us from the people who are the Fâsiqûn (rebellious and disobedient to Allâh)!”
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي لا أَمْلِكُ إِلاَّ نَفْسِي وَأَخِي فَافْرُقْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ
Qala rabbi innee la amliku illa nafsee waakhee faofruq baynana wabayna alqawmi alfasiqeena
YUSUFALI: He said: “O my Lord! I have power only over myself and my brother: so separate us from this rebellious people!”
PICKTHAL: He said: My Lord! I have control of none but myself and my brother, so distinguish between us and the wrong-doing folk.
SHAKIR: He said: My Lord! Surely I have no control (upon any) but my own self and my brother; therefore make a separation between us and the nation of transgressors.
KHALIFA: He said, “My Lord, I can only control myself and my brother. So, allow us to part company with the wicked people.”
