আলিফ-লাম-মীম,

০১। আলিফ্ – লাম্- মীম ।
০২। রোম সম্রাজ্য পরাজিত হয়েছে ৩৫০৫ , –
৩৫০৫। হেরাক্লিয়াসের অধীনে রোমান সম্রাজ্যের পতন ঘটে। রোমানদের শুধু যে এই একটি পতন ঘটে তাই-ই নয়, এশিয়ায় অবস্থিত তাদের বিস্তৃত ভূখন্ড তারা হারায়। প্রকৃতপক্ষে তারা তাদের রাজধানী কনস্টান্টিনেপালের চতুপার্শ্বের সকল ভুখন্ড হারায়। ” নিকটবর্তী অঞ্চল” বাক্যটি দ্বারা সিরিয়া, প্যালেস্টাইন, জেরুজালেম কে বোঝানো হয়েছে যা রোমানরা ৬১৪ -১৫ খৃষ্টাব্দের মধ্যে হারায়। এই সূরাটি এই সময়ের কিছু পূর্বে অবতীর্ণ হয়।

রোমকরা পরাজিত হয়েছে,
The Romans have been defeated.
غُلِبَتِ الرُّومُ

YUSUFALI: The Roman Empire has been defeated-
PICKTHAL: The Romans have been defeated
SHAKIR: The Romans are vanquished,
KHALIFA: Certainly, the Romans will be defeated.

০২। রোম সম্রাজ্য পরাজিত হয়েছে ৩৫০৫ , –
৩৫০৫। হেরাক্লিয়াসের অধীনে রোমান সম্রাজ্যের পতন ঘটে। রোমানদের শুধু যে এই একটি পতন ঘটে তাই-ই নয়, এশিয়ায় অবস্থিত তাদের বিস্তৃত ভূখন্ড তারা হারায়। প্রকৃতপক্ষে তারা তাদের রাজধানী কনস্টান্টিনেপালের চতুপার্শ্বের সকল ভুখন্ড হারায়। ” নিকটবর্তী অঞ্চল” বাক্যটি দ্বারা সিরিয়া, প্যালেস্টাইন, জেরুজালেম কে বোঝানো হয়েছে যা রোমানরা ৬১৪ -১৫ খৃষ্টাব্দের মধ্যে হারায়। এই সূরাটি এই সময়ের কিছু পূর্বে অবতীর্ণ হয়।
আয়াতঃ 030.003
নিকটবর্তী এলাকায় এবং তারা তাদের পরাজয়ের পর অতিসত্বর বিজয়ী হবে,
In the nearer land (Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Palestine), and they, after their defeat, will be victorious.
فِي أَدْنَى الْأَرْضِ وَهُم مِّن بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُونَ
Fee adna al-ardi wahum min baAAdi ghalabihim sayaghliboona
YUSUFALI: In a land close by; but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious-
PICKTHAL: In the nearer land, and they, after their defeat will be victorious
SHAKIR: In a near land, and they, after being vanquished, shall overcome,
KHALIFA: In the nearest land. After their defeat, they will rise again and win.
০৩। নিকটবর্তী অঞ্চলে। কিন্তু উহারা উহাদের এই পরাজয়ের পর শীঘ্রই বিজয়ী হবে; – ৩৫০৬
৩৫০৬। পারসিয়ানদের দ্বারা রোমানদের পরাজয় মোশরেক কোরেশদের আনন্দে উৎফুল্ল করেছিলো। কারণ তাদের ধারণা হয়েছিলো যে, এত শক্তিশালী রোমক সম্রাটের যদি অগ্নি উপাসক পারসিয়ানদের দ্বারা পরাজিত হতে হয়, তবে ইসলামের অনুসারী ক্ষুদ্র গোষ্ঠিকে তারা হত্যা, অত্যাচার, নির্যাতনের মাধ্যমে ধবংস করতে সক্ষম হবে না কেন ? কিন্তু তারা মহাকালের লিখন পড়তে অক্ষম ছিলো। এই সূরাতে তাদের সম্বোধন করে বলা হয়েছে যে, শীঘ্রই তাদের স্বপ্নভঙ্গ হবে, এবং তারা উপলব্ধি করবে তাদের হিসেবের ভুল। বাস্তবেও তাই ঘটেছিলো , ইসাসের যুদ্ধে [Battle of Issus ] ৬২২ খৃষ্টাব্দে [ যে বছর রসুলুল্লাহ্ হিজরত করেন ] পারসিয়ানদের পরাজয়ের মাধ্যমে। ৬২৪ খৃষ্টাব্দে রোম সম্রাট হেরাক্লিয়াস পারস্যের অভ্যন্তরে প্রবেশ করেন এবং ঠিক সেই সময়েই বদরের যুদ্ধে কোরেশরা নব্য মুলসমানদের নিকট পরাজয় বরণ করে।
আয়াতঃ 030.004
কয়েক বছরের মধ্যে। অগ্র-পশ্চাতের কাজ আল্লাহর হাতেই। সেদিন মুমিনগণ আনন্দিত হবে।
Within three to nine years. The decision of the matter, before and after (these events) is only with Allâh, (before the defeat of Romans by the Persians, and after, i.e. the defeat of the Persians by the Romans). And on that Day, the believers (i.e. Muslims) will rejoice (at the victory given by Allâh to the Romans against the Persians),
فِي بِضْعِ سِنِينَ لِلَّهِ الْأَمْرُ مِن قَبْلُ وَمِن بَعْدُ وَيَوْمَئِذٍ يَفْرَحُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
Fee bidAAi sineena lillahi al-amru min qablu wamin baAAdu wayawma-ithin yafrahu almu/minoona
YUSUFALI: Within a few years. With Allah is the Decision, in the past and in the Future: on that Day shall the Believers rejoice-
PICKTHAL: Within ten years – Allah’s is the command in the former case and in the latter – and in that day believers will rejoice
SHAKIR: Within a few years. Allah’s is the command before and after; and on that day the believers shall rejoice,
KHALIFA: Within several years. Such is GOD’s decision, both in the first prophecy, and the second. On that day, the believers shall rejoice.
